Pros: An incredible gym. Rob, Randall, and the rest of the staff are nothing short of completely convicted of bodybuilding. The atmosphere has a near-perfect mix of old-school and high-end anabolic/clean equipment. If you want to compete and be engulfed entirely in the bodybuilding environment, then 100% spend the $69 to get a membership. They also occasionally freeze adding new members, so as to avoid the gym ever feeling too busy (maintaining the "private gym" experience and community), which is amazing, and something I've never seen before. Cons: The price is $69 ($59 if you commit to 3 months, or $49 if you commit to 6 months) per month, which is quite the sum. There is also no two arm cable machine, save the large cable machine in the middle. This makes some sense, because this is supposed to be very old school bodybuilding-esc, so it's definitely something that I wouldn't necessarily say is a bad thing, but it's important to consider if you can't see yourself working out without that. Overall, if you can get past the price and want perhaps the best gym vibe around, this is absolutely 100% the place you HAVE to go to. The community is amazing so positive as well. I would love to compete one day, but I'm currently not in a position to afford that price, so I won't be going here beyond my three day free pass for the time being. If you can afford it, however, definitely don't miss out on this opportunity. It's something I'm not sure you can find anywhere else. read more

As a woman it's unfortunately difficult to find a gym that is both well setup for more than the casual commercial gym goer, but doesn't have the meatheads or misogynistic BS that women frequently have to deal with at the gym. Deezel is a perfect example of that Diamond in the rough, that somehow does it all. I really credit Rob, the owner, for doing such a great job bringing in all the quality gym equipment you're looking for, while simultaneously building an environment that is all community vibes, no assholes welcome. When I first moved to AZ I was incredibly underweight and knew it was time to get serious about my fitness journey. I was reluctant to go to a private weightlifting gym as I was nervous that I might get judged being a beginner. Upon stepping foot in the gym, the owner Rob immediately made me feel like I was at home. How do I give more than 5 stars? Awesome gym, amazing equipment, solid trainers. I signed up with Robert after a brief schedule change allowed me to work out closer to my office. It only lasted for about 6 weeks but every moment I spent at Deezel Muscle increase my momentum in every day life. I always left feeling like Robert pushed me harder than I would have pushed myself, but not so hard that I was even injured.. Not even close. In fact, Robert and his assistant trainer Jen are both very meticulous when it comes to client form. Not only was it obvious that they wanted me to be safe, but they also wanted me to get the most our of my workouts, my time, and the money I was spending. The facility was always well clean and the equipment was well maintained. They even have a kitchen for me to heat my meals and as you might expect, showers to clean up before heading back to work. What shocked me the most though was Roberts knowledge of the human body and mind. He was always able to help me tap into my own inner strength and a connect to the muscle more than I had in a lifetime of successful training. Had things not been so uncertain with my schedule, I'd still be there pushing myself farther than I though possible. I don't know where to start with Deezel, I started about 2 months ago doing training with Rob. I started at about 165lbs and was pretty weak. Rob told me one thing and that was trust the process and I did. 2 months later I'm about 183 lbs and have grown an inch and a half or more on my muscles. to add the environment is amazing and Deezel is OPEN 24/7. It's not just a gym, it's a family and clients are treated as such. The coaches are incredible. The members are friendly, supportive, kind, and encouraging. I had a friend tell me of this place. So, I called and immediately received a text saying I'd be contacted within 24 hours. That didn't happen so I text back and called again. Day 4, no contact, I decided to go in. Door was locked. Tried to open twice and then walked down and opened a door with someone getting a massage. Excuse me!! I asked how do you get into the gym part. I was told to go back to the door. It was still locked and this time someone came. Robert, he says. Went in his office and the place did not seem friendly. He told me he handed my info to someone who tried to contact me. Not true. My phone works. No one left a message for me. I told him what I was interested in. Just like I've always done because the trainer is the professional but he told me I was "all over the place." 9 or 10 O'clock was not an appropriate time to work out but 5 or 6 or 7 AM was. That doesn't work with my job or my body. He started pushing his nutrition stuff which I am not interested in. This seemed to be not to his liking at all and the end of his patience so he told me "they" could not work with me. By then I was very happy to leave! He may have a couple titles but I don't care. He has no clue who I've had the pleasure to be in the same gyms with if I was suppose to "ooo and ahhh". The "ordeal" as I will call it was something like going to the dentist but worse. I am into health and fitness and not whatever has affected his personality. I love to see independent (I was going to say "small" but I bet that word is offensive there) businesses survive.
