The place is quite small a typical ramen space if you go in Japan. You'll see the crepe area first before entering the ramen area. The ramen is really good & tasty. There are some ingredients missing on top of my ramen as described. I'm hoping it is loaded of toppings just like in the photo menu. The appetizers is not quite impressive but it's alright. The servers are very friendly & accommodating kudos for these guys. read more

I really enjoyed my ramen from Wei! The broth is rich and flavorful and the toppings were all good. I especially enjoyed the pork bun appetizer I got. They were easy to order from through yelp and the food was all still good even after the thirty minute drive home. If you're downtown and looking for ramen - check this place out! read more

Very average ramen. The pork broth is not very rich or complex. The gyozas were pan fried and were adequate. Overall, I would go back if I was in need for big bowl of warm soup, but my expectations would be low. On the bright side, the service was very good. read more

Had dinner at Wei last week before the symphony since it is within walking distance of the Hilbert. I had the YAMITSUKI RAMEN and it was divine. I have had many a bowl of Ramen in Little Tokyo in LA and this bowl was right up there with my top 3. My mouth was so happy with the delicious and complex broth. Plenty of other goodies in there as well. Service was wonderful and we had a lovely meal with plenty of time to walk to the symphony read more

I had always wanted to try a Ramen restaurant inspired by Asian Cuisine and came across Wei Ramen. It's located in downtown Indy and a little hidden I almost missed it. As soon as you walk in there's a cute mini waterfall and then you walk up to the "Please wait to be seated" sign. I and my boyfriend immediately were seated and handed menus. Inside it's a rustic design and the seats were all wood and very close to each other, but I didn't mind. The décor was cute and funny a lot of cats and them eating ramen. The bathrooms were on the smaller side and only had two stalls but overall were not bad. I felt very cozy inside with the rustic vibe it felt homey and comfortable. The service was great our server was always smiling and greeted us properly. She gave us plenty of time to decide what to order and answered any questions we had. Drinks were brought out first and promptly and then our food didn't take long at all to come out. I was surprised and happy and the food looked and smelled great. Their menu is simple but offers different variety of entrees. I ordered the Spicy Ramen because I love the kick. The way they present the food is top-notch and picture worthy. You have the noodles and ramen underneath and on top, you have all these different toppings placed precisely. I was able to try new things and I enjoyed it all. I left my bowl empty and left with a full stomach. Overall, I deeply enjoyed this place and plan on going back for sure. They also have this crepe inside, and I couldn't resist getting one. I got the Nutella crepe with strawberries and bananas, and it was worth it. I recommend people to try this place because it's unique and delicious! read more

The spicy ramen was so good. I did get without corn and no egg (not a fan of yolk) and chicken curry katsu was fire as well

I ordered Yamitsuki Ramen and Takoyaki for my dinner. I am not sure about Yamitsuki Ramen which means "Yamitsuki" in Japanese means "Addictive", I think I will not order this again. Tonkotsu base soup is too salty and Roast Pork was put on tonkatsu source with sweet taste, which destroyed original taste of Roast Pork. Noodle was thin noodles and proper time of cooking but was not mixed enough with Tonkotsu soup. Totally got like a ball and I have to spread noodles by myself. Takoyaki was all deep fried which crunchy hard balls with still taste of flour, but good crank of octopus. I think a cook used just flour not used egg or milk to mix. This is shame. Owner need to train cook to send them NYC or LA to try real ramen and Takoyaki. I guess Midwest and Indianapolis location people don't know or never tried Real Ramen noodles. I hope my comment will help. read more

Great spicy ramen with pork. Service is also awesome! A little tucked in town, Google maps got me a little lost but if you just park nearby and walk, that's the next way to get to it. read more

3-stars for an "A-OK" spot for ramen downtown (finally!) that has a solid foundation and also some room for improvement. For starters, there must've been some ventilation issues the night we dined in because the entire restaurant was filled with a smoky haze. We ordered a pork bun to share but our server informed us they didn't have a knife anywhere in the restaurant to cut it in half. Skip the steam buns- they're just average and the gyoza were better anyway. Each guest at our table enjoyed their ramen- we sampled the miso, spicy, & tonkotsu. I felt the egg was somewhat bland as far as soft-boiled eggs go and I prefer firmer noodles, but the tonkotsu broth was rich and flavorful. The spicy ramen definitely has a kick! Save room for a dessert crepe- they're made with freshly sliced fruit and are pretty good. Oh and hold it until you're home; the bathrooms here are gross. read more

Fast food service and friendly service. The food is delicious and spicy if you like. Definitely coming back when in town.

Clean, quiet. Had gyoza, which was crispy and fresh. Very good. Also had shrimp and vegetable Don. Don't this I would order it again, but it was a new experience of flavors for me! Going to try ramen next read more

I heard about this new ramen restaurant from a friend and had to come in and try it. I saw mixed reviews but wanted to give it a shot since it's a brand new restaurant. My fiancé loves ramen and we had very quick service. The noodles were more true to a traditional ramen noodle and the broth soaked up the flavor nicely. We tried a few dishes and they were all good! We also tried the crepe place attached to the restaurant. We'll definitely be back! read more

Slurp away at this nice Ramen option and then get crepes for dessert! They are offering a lot of options in a small space, and it works.

Came here for lunch with coworkers. The place is new and needs some optimization. It took a while for us to get a table assigned and order food but the food was very good. We also had to wait long to pay and get our checks back as all the waiters were fighting for one point of sale terminal. Lastly, the cloth that was used to wipe tables was sitting in a can with very dirty water... not good for hygiene. read more

Ordered the veggie ramen to go. There are several different versions on the menu and I tried in vain to have them described but the language barrier was too difficult. I think I got the "regular" flavor. The milky broth was not terrible but not good either. After I combined the broth with the veggies it was ok. The vegetable ingredients are what made me really pause and think if I should even finish the ramen. The only ingredient that seemed fresh was the broccoli. The tofu skin (2 small pieces) just had a cheap premade texture and taste. Bamboo was straight from a can. No mushrooms. The "cabbage" was romain lettuce! A couple of bean sprouts were there. A $15 ramen dish should be at least filling or have amazing flavor. I didn't get either. The ramen noodle was packaged dry soup type not the imported amazing curly textured noodle you get from Ramen Ray and others. The chef/waiter was very friendly. We desperately need a ramen or pho shop downtown and will keep checking on the reviews for "hopefully" improvements in quality. They will surely be yet another failed business on east Washington if they dont. read more

Visited this place on a Sunday night with some friends and was a little wary given the reviews. We got the gyoza, shishito peppers and I ordered the spicy ramen with chicken for dinner. The gyoza were steamed and then panfried and enjoyable! The shishitos had a good kick but came in two really long pieces that were hard to share. The ramen broth had good flavor and great spice. The meat was tender and flavorful and noodles were done just right! Service was great too! Will definitely be coming back here! read more

Really looking forward to being a regular here once they iron out the kinks. I love ramen, I normally will drive 15-25 minutes to get some when the craving strikes, and this place is much closer to me. When you walk in, you can order crepes at the counter or sit to be served ramen. We ordered the most popular ramen and pork buns. The flavor of the pork buns were good, but it is served in a taco-like presentation. Not a true bun. Our server didn't know a lot about the menu, which as a former server I know is a management issue. When you have a new business, and a new employee, they should taste the menu. But the one he had tried was the one we ordered, and it was a great recommendation. However, the meat was undercooked.pecifically the pork. A friend of ours came earlier in the evening and had another ramen with the pork, and my partner had one with pork as well, and both of them were sick shortly after. Our friend sent his back because of how undercooked it was. I ordered chicken, which I did not notice an issue with. The crepes are a surefire go-to. They have an enormous selection. It does take longer than I am used to waiting for a crepe, and I noticed again that the staff were super under prepared and didn't know what to do. It seemed to me the management here were more concerned with opening and not setting up their staff for success, which is disappointing. I'm glad it wasn't super busy so they could figure it out. Overall, those new business issues are all there. I'll give it a month or so and come back in and update my review. I still have super high hopes for this place! read more

The lady at the front told me the ramen bar was in the back so I went there. I sat myself cause I wasn't sure what to do which isn't their fault. However the staff dies have a bit of an attitude. He sat other people then ignored me till I asked for a menu. I asked a couple questions about the ramen to the waitress and she treated me like I was stupid. She basically threw my food on the table and never came back. I was polite so I really don't understand what the deal was. She was attentive to the other tables. She got refills for other tables but I never got one despite trying to get her attention. She definitely saw me but I guess I wasn't worth her time. The gyoza was good. The ramen was ok. I've had better at cheaper places. All in all the experience/food was ok but nothing to write home about. read more

Good ramen spot in downtown Indy! I always try to find some delicious spicy ramen. And it lived to my standards! If you are looking for spicy, then this is it. You can't have spicy ramen without it being spicy!! If you are looking to have spicy ramen and not have it too spicy then you're outta luck. There are no spice levels and the name says it all! This is my second visit, the first time I had the Spicy ramen and this time the Yamitsuki ramen. Would definitely recommend both.

A little hard to find since it's in the same space as a boba tea shop but once you walk past the tea section you're fine. Even when you walk in they ask if you're there for ramen. The atmosphere is super chill and relaxed but the food is SPECTACULAR!! You can't go wrong with any of the appetizers and the ramen, of course, is delicious. Was looking for a ramen spot here in indy since i just moved back from being in washington for a couple years and i came across this spot read the reviews and decided to try it. Now keep in mind washington is full of asian culture especially seattle. They have amazing ramen. Now back to wei ramen, i'm giving it a three because it was okay , but it definitely does not compare to washington's ramen. The noodles were noticeably thinner and the broth was not as creamy. Also the pork slices were very thick and the fatty part was very chewy as opposed to washington's pork slices and fatty melt in your mouth. Now im not bashing it here because again its decent but there is DEFINITELY WAY better out there. 3 for overall cleanliness, food was okay, and service dope cannot complain there. Food came out fast too. I FEEL LIKE ALL THE REVIEWS ARE 4's and 5's BECAUSE RAMEN ISN'T THAT PREVALENT IN INDIANA SO THEY HAVEN'T EXPERIENCED ACTUAL AUTHENTIC RAMEN AND ARE JUST BLOWN AWAY BY THIS. Still it was okay, BUT i don't know about coming here for your first time as you might get a different idea of actual ramen flavor. (Ordered spicy ramen by the way, wasn't that spicy just somewhat a kick in your throat nothing crazy though) read more

This was my first time trying the spot. The cleanliness was good but however the food was nothing to special. I ordered the spicy ramen and it was tasty however the many aspects of the entree such as the fish cakes and pork were not that great. I received thick pieces of pork however it was mainly pieces of fat. Perhaps I had higher expectations but I am not upset just disappointed a bit. read more

First time there today ! The food was good and everything! No problem with that ! But the weird encounter that me and my boyfriend had was not it . Waitress was nice and everything till the end when we left we did not know there's was a mandatory 20% tip if they have had a sign there OFCOURSE I would've left more. Proceded too roll her eyes and be mean about it. I feel like there has probably been bad reviews about her maybe not . But definitely not gonna be going back ! Totally rude and proceeded too say if you can afford food then that should mean you should leave a mandatory 20% tip . read more

So overall a great place, but a server today was mad over the fact that we didn't leave a 20% tip. I don't mind that to leave a tip but that was all that was in my pocket in cash, I came to eat and enjoy the environment... Not to be confident over the faces that I didn't leave a good enough tip for the server. read more
