This is only for the recent bad experience I had at the sandwich counter because most of my experiences at Wegmans has always been good. The other day I ordered a small meatball hero (yes I'm from NY and we say hero). Sylvia begins to make my sandwich and it all went downhill from here. First, I asked for sesame white bread, second she didn't change her gloves. Her coworker told her to change her gloves before she gets in trouble. She expressed a serious attitude towards him and he told her he is just trying to look out for her. She reluctantly changed her gloves. Never told him thank you or anything along those measures. Then she puts the meatball on my sandwich. Yes I said the meatball as in 1 meatball! So I said something because mind you I just had the same sandwich the day before. And yes I shop at Wegmans frequently. So back to this 1 meatball which was cut in half. I asked Sylvia why the 1 meatball? She responded with an attitude and said well on a small you only get 2 (meaning 2 halves). Her coworker told her that the small gets 2 WHOLE meatballs. So guess what Sylvia does? She puts my sandwich down and walks away with an attitude. Wait really??? You just not going to make my sandwich? Now I'm trying to keep calm because that was inappropriate and rude of her. She comes back over and I told her that she has a really bad attitude. She responds with saying that he's getting on her nerves. I said why because he is trying to help you understand the correct way? Anyways it's still going downhill. We haven't reach the bottom yet. When I got in the car, I was so hungry I took a bite of my sandwich. OMG! It was super cold. I watched her place the sandwich in the oven twice. First to heat up the meatballs and second to heat the sauce and cheese. I thought it wasn't in the oven long enough but I trusted that she knew. Ironically the customer before me had the same sandwich but it was the large one and it looked delicious. And one last thing, remember I ordered sesame white, I received the Everything bread. You know like the Everything bagel. Never again! Well at least never again will Sylvia make my sandwiches. read more

Yessss! It's a hometown favorite so, I love this place. I always say Wegmans is not an ordinary grocery store. It's a shopping experience.

I'm downgrading my ranking of Wegman's. Their customer service from several of their cashiers has gone downhill. Not all of their cashiers are bad, but several are. Yesterday, my cashier never greeted me and then put the chain up closing the lane. I had to remind him to remove the chain so I could get to credit card machine to pay for my purchases. Also, aren't they supposed to help load your cart with the bagged groceries? Nope, I guess not here. My grocery bill is always a lot higher for fewer items than it is from Giant. I still like Wegman's for their seafood department, but that's about it. read more

The vegan salad with tofu is excellent. Greens are super fresh and the tahini dressing is tart and creamy. Unfortunately all the tables in the cafe have food debris from earlier diners. How much time does it take to wipe tables down? If I weren't so hungry I would have left without eating there. Do better! We pay more at Wegman's so we expect more! read more

Mochi ice cream review only. When Amazon took over Whole Foods, I was saddened because they changed the recipe to the best tasting mochi ice cream I've ever had. The new recipe did not deliver in terms of appearance or taste, the mochi was hard and the ice cream was bland. Little did I know, Wegmans sell fresh mochi ice cream TOO and they are all pretty darn amazing!!!! So amazing I got 20 :D. When it comes out of the freezer, you can either eat it right away or let the mochi dough soften a little which is how I prefer it! It is captivating, the mochi is nice and soft and the ice cream is sooooooooo flavorful. I've had ALL of the flavors except vanilla. I enjoyed every single one. My favorite ones are the pistachios and secondly the coconut. Well I hope you all will give these suckers a try because they are worth every single dime of it!!! Thank you Wegmans!!! read more

So this Wegmans was nice. Nice and clean and the Customer Service was Great. The Customers was nice! They didn't think that they owned the aisle. So there is a good and a bad about all Wegmans. They bakery has some AMAZING things but I am unable to partake in any of the sweets that are already made because they are not Gluten Free. This made my heart hurt so much. There was a lady from the bakery that pointed me to a Gluten free section in the bakery and I was able to find some Gluten free Rice Krispy treats. It was $10 but I guess I was just so excited to find something sweet I could eat that was Gluten free. I am not going to lie... I miss eating their cakes and banana pudding! I really like this market. Its more than a grocery store. Its an experience! The one in Columbia is a bit better as it is two levels and has meeting areas. This location is still a very nice touch for the area. Its pricier than other chains for the same brands but the layout and presentation is worth it. This store is really going downhill. Every grocery store in the area (and there are many) has overcome supply chain issues except this one. Whether that's actually the problem or it's just poor management, I don't know. What I do know is that when you contact customer service they ignore you. This store is a solid 5. It would be a 6 if you could buy beer or wine with a eat in restaurant meal like you can in PA. I was awed when I pulled into W's parking lot & 2 men are roasting Hatch Peppers. I uploaded 2 photos of Hatch Peppers (Google it) being smoked in the front of the store. I was introduced to these peppers while vacationing in NM. They have mild, medium and hot available. The roasted peppers are in the air, so yummy smelling. (It's a seasonal event, so get it now. ) This type of stuff is what makes a person drive 15 miles pass a lot of Safeways and Giants to shop here. I'm not even in the store yet, just the parking lot, and W makes my day. I hope folks who live close to this store show them lots of love. I am so green with envy and wonder who to lobby to get a W in Charles County. The grocer shopping experience is mind blowingly (not a word but how I feel) pleasant, a social event not a tedious chore when done at Wegman's. The hard part is trying not to buy stuff off your shopping list (you can't do it). For example, I could not resist the 100% unsalted fresh ground peanut butter. You could buy PB salted and with chocolate too. I pat myself on the back for not selecting the chocolate PB (to many calories) or the almond PB (to high). I rush past the $10 crab on a pretzel roll; a favorite. There are to many things in my cart to eat within a day or 2. I do not buy the figs cause after planting 3 trees in 5 years, I finally got some off my tree this year. Get W's App. Your card is loaded on the App now. No need to carry the plastic. I have to carry an extra wallet for all the store cards and the one I need still always seem to be somewhere else. But I always have my cell phone with me. This review is based on the online Flyer . I hope the people in the IT department read this and make some much needed updates . I don't have the app on my phone so I googled Wegmans Flyer and honestly, it's horrific and completely UN - USER - friendly . Please take a look at the Harris Teeter Flyer . It's literally super easy to use and incredibly user friendly. I've pretty much stopped shopping anywhere else other then HT because of the use of there app . I can breeze through it , check the items I want , it automatically add the cost , let's me know if I can get the " buy one get one free " at half price if I don't want to purchasing two of the same item . To be fair I don't have the Wegmans app on my phone bc it requests my club # which I don't know , just use my phone number when I'm in the store . I honestly don't recall the last time I went into your store but I'm sure I would if the Flyer was easily accessible AND intelligent. read more

While I like Wegmans, I need to face it, they do not like Poor People. This is a Rich Person's Store, and I can barely afford their prices. The Cashier's at one of the local Baltimore area stores are not friendly at all to folks of Color. I think they wished we would shop at Save-A-Lot or similar type stores. Most of the Consumers that shop at Wegmans are well to do, making six figures or more, and those are the customers they seem to adhere too. While I can't say enough about the freshness of the food, the Service and Cashier's are not friendly toward me, they are sometimes lousy. I try to overlook rude behavior, but sometimes I do find the need to vent. Safeway is a much better option, their Vegetables & Fruits are the Best, and reasonably priced. read more

The catering choices are wonderful and the selection cannot be matched. I ordered food for 20 people and my expectations were far exceeded. Additionally, the two women working in the department this past Friday (July 19) gave me service that was second to none. All of my coworkers and supervisors were pleased and surprised by the amount and quality of food we received for the price. I will return to the Crofton Wegmans for future needs. Brie filled dates?-check, charcuterie?- check!, rugalach, macaroons; freshly prepared sushi platters, tataki, dumplings, dim sum; pre cut produce; Family Meals; Kosher; Organic; Bulk items; wide variety of international items: ghees, kimchi's, simmering sauces, jerk rubs, shrimp chips; health & beauty items galore, Hot/ cold salad bar for dine in or take out; "D" for All the above. Wegmans also has a nice selection of household items: BOA Flask for that camper?-yep! Table linens, gadgets and seasonal decorative items?-but of course! The only thing I've noticed that can be improved upon is to increase the number of people at the registers. Wegman's is a jewel of Maryland. I've been to many great grocery stores. I generally don't enjoy shopping. If I had to describe it, I would say it falls between a Trader Joe's, Whole Foods & Mom's Organic. It's cheaper than all but Trader Joe's, but is has more selection than Joe's, & it has a nice cafe with lots of dining options. It's mostly eco-friendly (less than the plastic bags) with lots of their packaging and paper straws. I give it 4 stars bc it needs to give up it plastic bag addiction. read more

3.5 stars. Rounded up on service. I'm still not quite a fan, but Wegmans is better than A-OK. The facility is really nice and very clean. While it leans toward prepared foods in terms of space allocation there are lots of basics. I was pleased to find a dedicated place for canning materials including jars, lids, bands, and even pectin at prices that rival Amazon. House brands dominate. It will take a while to decide how I feel about those. Dipping my toes in in small quantities until we come to a conclusion. Even though the store is large the depth of name brands is a little skinny due to the space for house brands. We'll see. I don't know the supply chain but they certainly are heavy on seasonal produce. The corn and berries are plentiful (early August) and look good at prices that beat local farmers' markets and produce stands. Since we bought both at the Anne Arundel farmers' market and the nearby Pennsylvania Dutch Farmers Market this past weekend (freezing corn and making canning jam) we'll be able to make a direct comparison. Definitely better produce than local Giant and Safeway and on par with Shoppers Food Warehouse (which around here is the star of produce). We've also noted that local supermarkets have shoved coffee both beans and grounds aside for K-cups and our choices are limited. Wegmans certainly carries all the pre-packaged plastic cups but still has a wide range of choices of beans and ground. Well done. Aisles are wide so the people who stop in the middle of aisle and wander off are not so disturbing. Aisles are well marked. Staff is exemplary. Folks stocking shelves greet you. Perhaps an unaccompanied male (no "adult" supervision *grin*) wandering about on a weekday morning is unusual or I just look helpless. If so I will practice looking so to sustain the level of aid I experienced. Wegmans in Gambrills is a bit far from Annapolis but based on my experience today I'll be back to shop again. The shopping center has a number of other stores (Bed Bath and Beyond and Target among many others) that make the trip reasonable. read more

When the Wegmans grocery stores moved into the area I heard everyone and their mother rant and rave over them. I thought, "it's just a grocery store, what's the big deal?" I've since been and I still kind of think the same thing. Since it's kind of out of the way for me, I've never thought to go and peruse the store. One day a coworker brought in the best granola mix that I've ever had and told me that it was only sold at Wegmans. She gave me a sample bag, but it was going to be up to me to replenish my supply. Passed the Wegmans on a Friday evening and decided to take a whirl through to get this granola! The first thing I noticed was at least 5 lines were open, not including the self-check out lines. WHAT??? I never see that many lines open at my local grocery stores, even on busy days and times throughout the week. After picking my jaw off the ground, I proceeded to hunt down my granola. Couldn't find it, so I asked an employee that gladly showed me the item. In my hunt for the granola, I also found a few other products that tickled my fancy. Only thing about going into a new grocery store, you're pretty much lost and have to find your way through to find the items you're looking for. When I got to the register, Victoria was literally waiting for me! DOUBLE WHAT? No line, she was very chipper and she was eager to answer my questions about the store. I hear the pre-made food area is the hot spot to try. Didn't get a chance to check it out, but perhaps I will in the future. I think it's a neat and clean store that offers a variety of healthy, locally made/grown items, as well as unique items to purchase. I pretty much enjoy all Wegman's that I rarely shop at any other grocery store now. So everything is great like all Wegman's they could be more perfect if they could remain stocked through the weekend. The produce section is always light on stock and seems that after years of being open they haven't figured out how to keep the produce shelves full. It's a pretty obvious trend- Friday night is the best night to go and get everything as they have recovered from the rush and everything is there. By Sunday evening it looks like a quarter of their produce has been wiped out. I've even gone in on some Tuesdays and it looks like they may still be recovering and stocking from the weekend. Seems absurd to me as they have regular busy and low trends. The rest of the store is fine it's just the produce section needs a few more folks stocking it throughout the day. read more

Bottom Line: A very large but lovely grocery store, if you're into hanging out at the market. As an avid cook, I really appreciate a nice grocery store. All of the stores where I live are dismal and I dream of having a Wegman's in Annapolis. Here is what I like about Wegman's: - Huge selection of groceries including items that are typically hard to find at places like Safeway. - Displays are lovely and well stocked. It's a nice bright store and the produce section is huge. Also, I appreciate the full array of McCormick spices - Market Café has a wide variety of prepared foods and something for every pallet. - The staff is really nice. Be sure to stop by customer service to get your welcome gift. I will say that for those who have a hard time getting around or don't like grocery shopping, this probably isn't the store for them because it is big (lots of walking) and can be overwhelming (lots of inventory). I'm pretty sure I entered the store from the wrong entrance because I was greeted by a man on guitar, a cafe and no actual groceries in sight.. Once I looked at all if the things in that area I decided to wonder a littler further into the massive store... I seemed to find everything I didn't need before I actually got to any food.. Once I got to the good section I found great products and even greater variety. Since this was my first trip and I was a little overwhelmed I decided only to pick up a few items that were of immediate need.. Once I checked out I learned of the club card, and if you haven't signed up for one do so now! I was not only given the store card but I was given a "magazine" full of recipes and coupons... I will return just next time I will have studied the map (that's right the store is so big you need a map!!) and have prepared a list because I could easily get sidetracked here! read more

This grocery store is a dang spectacle. Coming from Los Angeles, where I felt lucky if my car didn't get dented too badly in the lot, I was stunned by Wegmans. The grocery cart returns in the parking lot are covered by gazebos. There's a clock tower. We came on a Saturday and there was live entertainment. As ridiculous as it sounds, this is a place where I'll take friends who come visit us from back home. It's an experience, that's for sure. read more

I wish that spots like this were closer to where I live. Before the gf and I left we stopped by here to pick up some groceries before heading back up to NY. The produce section was ginormous-but nothing that was different than any suburban supermarkets. However, the large selection they have in baked goods, meats and just about everything else was great. The free samples they give out were well prepared and the staff was friendly-and not fussy about getting more than 1 sample. In addition, their hot foods counter was vast and we got to pick up some road trip grub to go for cheap, listen to some live music and they had one of those Coke remix machines. Clean and spacious grocery store. Wegmans carries a great selection of organic products-- produce, meat, boxed items, eggs, cheese, milk, etc. Their prices are somewhat cheaper than Whole Foods, but the variety is not as vast. This place is CRAZY on the weekends-- I usually try to go during "off" hours (if that is even such a thing). It is sometimes difficult to maneuver up and down the aisles, especially by the produce, meat and milk areas. I guess that speaks true to the Wegmans experience-- they must be doing something right to always have mobs of people shopping! read more

WOOHOO, CROFTON HAS A WEGMANS!!! The magic wears off eventually when you try to shop on a weekend, as that place can get crazy busy. Also, you might find some of the prices are higher than other stores nearby (Safeway in Waugh Chapel North, Giant down in Crofton Centre). But, still, the freshness and quality is pretty good, almost unmatched. They have some hard to find items, as well. You might also find some items aren't available, or that they don't have as many options per item. For instance, their chips selection might leave something to be desired, but they have a great selection of off-the-wall sodas. Things like that. Definitely a fun trip to the grocery store and their hot bar/cafe is a great place for a quick meal, too. Haven't been disappointed there yet. read more

Really been responsive, and relatively well stocked, during COVID (they use instacart). Been happy with the selection and the speed/quality/freshness/price, compared to several other grocery delivery choices (fresh market, Safeway, and Amazon fared less well). Crab cakes were a treat during pandemic as we're choosing to not eat at restaurants, and in a competitive seafood local market that is Annapolis, theirs are very good. Having been shopping at Wegmans for many years, long before they came to Maryland; it sad to see how far they have gone downhill. I went there today and it looked like it was going out of business. Many times in the past the shelves have been empty and that was before the Covid, but today it was really bad. Not sure what they are thinking in the bakery department, but only sell muffins, etc. in packs of four and above. If you want just one must go to carryout section to get one. However, today was informed only selling in 4 packs they really hate their customers. The other grocery stores you can buy bake good in ones. Guess Wegman's is running out of money and need to get the most dollars for all bakery item. The have a great bread selection and that is now the only reason I go there. Sadly, the stores are poorly run and in some areas you can only buy Wegmans brands. The stocking staff are rude, but not as rude and the instacart people. Stopped going every week now once a month and I can remember spending $400 on one shopping day at Wegmans NO MORE. read more

WARNING! If you shop online at Wegmans and use Instacart for shopping and delivery, you will get ripped off with hidden fees! Here's what happened to our $400.00 order. Wegmans charges more for online shopping - they mark up the prices that you see online so the final bill is much higher. Wegmans added $100+ dollars to our rather large order. On top of that Instacart charged $60.00 in fees and tips for the shopper (the tip I don't mind, more service charges, BS!). In total, Wegman's and Instacart cost us about $600.00 on what would have been a $400.00 bill if we'd done it ourselves. The worse part of it is these fees are cleverly hidden during the online shopping process. This pair of lousy companies is profiteering from the virus crises. Never again! read more

This is my second visit at this particular Wegmans and although it is always crowded they still provide ample parking. The hot food bar is like no other with multiple cooking styles and a wide range of food options. I particularly like the cafe area, where they provide ample seating, couches, televisions and tables for you to relax and enjoy your food. I definitely will be returning to this Wegmans. read more
