I love Wegman's ... or as it's affectionately known ... Wegums. Yup, I'm a Wegmaniac! Stores vary in size and offerings. This is also true of their prepared foods and grab & go sections. The Cicero store is no exception. On a recent visit I picked up the Latin Flank Steak bowl. Since I love Wegman's so much, my expectations were high, though this one left me a bit disappointed. The steak was grizzly and chewy. In fairness, the label said it could be served either cold or heated. Since I wasn't at home, heating wasn't an option. If you decide to give this one a try, I don't recommend it cold. Plus, at $16.00 for one serving, it was certainly no bargain. The store ambience is pleasant, but the quick service isn't so quick. In years past, you could pay for your order at the grab and go section, avoiding the regular checkout line. No more. This was particularly disappointing, given employees were just standing around (something I don't often see at Wegman's). With some tweaks to the service model and an upgrade to the flank steak, Wegman's can meet Customers' expectations (and maybe let them forget the steep price per serving). read more

I have to shop at a couple different stores to get what I need. I'm sick of not being able to get name brand products.

I've always loved Wegmans!! However, they need to teach their cashiers how to bag groceries. The cashiers constantly over pack the bags and put prepackaged food on its side (this has happened before and leaked all over). I've also been noticing the sale of fruit (specifically strawberries) that are being sold with large amounts of mold. I've also seen a worker pick a moldy strawberry out of the container and leave the container for sale. I guess for the prices in the store I expect more. read more

Not food, but had to throw my poinsettia plants out after 4 days...leaves/flower petals fell off after 2 days Wegmans got a bad batch this year. So disappointed. $30 down the drain. read more

I've only started going to Wegmans within the past couple of years, because they actually have a wide variety of gluten and dairy-free options which is a huge score for myself! They're a little pricey, but I honestly just expect that wherever I go at this point. Staff is friendly and I haven't had any issues here. I also just love all of the fresh food options. Drove from Camillus as local Wegmans did not have needed prescription post surgery. Staff was very informative and helpful.

Moldy $10 lb chestnuts for Christmas. Increase of $10 for a rotisserie chicken. No loose mixed nuts anymore. unorganized aisles now.

This is a great Wegmans. I drive out here from closer to the center of town because it's a particularly nice store. Their pastries are awesome. Their selection is great. They have those spicy extra crunchy taquitos I like so much- though, has the east coast not heard of corn tortillas? Anyway, if you want $1.99 pirogis, they have them. If you want bulk salmon, they have that, too. The sushi is, ehh, it's grocery store sushi. What can you do? Not bad in a pinch. The Moroccan olives are the best- those are the wrinkly black ones. The cheese, well, all of it is good. I've had great conversations with the cashiers, too. They've been really friendly and welcoming. read more

Wegmans has almost 100 locations in the mid-Atlantic and New England regions, in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Virginia. Founded in 1916 in Rochester, Wegmans has appeared on Fortune's annual "100 Best Companies to Work For" list every year since the list first appeared in 1998. What is there to say about Wegmans that hasn't been said? They have a rabid fanbase of which I am a part of. Wegmans has been considered more an experience than a grocery store, and that's not far from the truth. I lived in Maryland for 4 years and when a Wegmans finally popped up, I purposely drove 45 minutes to shop at it. It was like receiving a hug from home. This location is one of the mid-sized locations, not the smallest, but not the biggest either. It is on a busy, main drag of the city though, and therefore, is usually always packed and busy. I frequently get their subs (buffalo chicken finger is my favorite), and they offer plenty of ready-to-go meals. Their departments are always well stocked and it's extremely rare that they don't have something I want or need. They have a great deli department, their pharmacy is fast and efficient, and they have a great floral section for a grocery store. Their prices can be slightly higher than other stores, but the quality of product is better, as is the experience of shopping there. Employees are always friendly and seem happy, and they always have plenty of cash register lines open. Wegmans is simply the best grocery store that there is. read more

This is the only place I will grocery shop for me and my family. The place is always so clean and inviting. Sometimes they even have free samples (which always scores some brownie points in my book). The cheese selection is huge. Sometimes i want to try a different variant of cheese and there is always staff there to recommend me a cheese variant and help me with my cheese choose. It makes me feel very welcome. The Craft your Own 10 Pack for like 6 dollars is also a steal, you can try different beers without committing to an entire 6, 12, or even 30 pack sometimes! The only reason this place is not a 5 star (in my book) is because of the lack of self checkout. when I go to purchase my groceries, sometimes i have to pay the good old fashion way, with cold hard cash. My hands get really warm because i like to clench my fists, which makes the coins in my pocket really warm if i'm being honest. Nothing against the staff, i just don't want them to feel how warm my clenched hands are. Other Wegmans in this area offer self checkout, and once this is added i'll make it a 5 star Yelp Review! Besides the self checkout thing (which is mainly just personal preference and nothing against the company or the Big Man in charge of this Wegman) i love this place. it's the best grocery place in the area and i love the groceries and atmosphere! This store is very clean, and has a great selection of ready made as well as deli, meats, cheese, made to order pizza, sandwiches etc. Lots of speciality areas like bakery, deli, cheese, meat, fish, etc. The store is well laid out with ample space to move around with ease. I like the pod format better then isles and there are a lot of pod type areas which make it easy to navigate in a crowded area. Definitely a great store. Wish they had these in California. read more

Wegmans is one of the best grocery stores around. In my opinion they have the best produce section. The quality of the fruits and vegetables beat any of the other stores by a mile. Always fresh and so good. I feel the same way about the meats they sell. They steaks are always fresh and trimmed to perfection. They even sell bulk hamburger for less than $3 a pound. Try finding burger for less. Now for their prepared food this is my favorite part of Wegmans. They have pretty much everything under the sun and something for everyone. They also have the best subs for a grocery store you will be very pleased. No other grocery store can make a better sub. The subs keep me coming back. I've had every sub they make. They also do catering. Sub trays and wrap trays always fresh and they will feed lots of people. If you like other stores for your shopping at least stop by a wegmans and try a sub . read more

Oh wegmans. What would I do without you. I buy all wegmans brand for the most part, as it's just as good as brand name things. Fresh food bars are a bit expensive, but everything else is right in range with other stores. I make weekly trips, they are always pleasant, helpful and love giving kids stickers and cookies, my kids can come and they behave while I shop. I really do wish they'd stop moving isles around every 2 months, drives me batty! read more

The steak meat is green and slimy , The low fat deli turkey also is slimy wet and distasteful. I'm shocked they sell old meat. I thought to expect this from only walmart . I never had any problems at any other wegmans before, just the cicero store. read more

Very solid Chinese food, not the best price but I can't complain for the quality. My favorite Chinese spot in the Syracuse area. Will be back again. For groceries it is solid but would recommend to anyone to get a Costco membership and head there. Amazing deals and a way bigger selection. read more

Went to Wegmans in Cicero NY for cold cuts for lunch asked for things to be cut thin and the deli worker cut a piece and asked if it was okay. After that she must have readjusted the settings because when I got home and opened the package it was cut on the thick side, this is not the first time they have done this at this store. To me that is just laziness and wrong not giving the customer what they want. read more

Wegman's usually has good pizza. Tonight however, my order had to be remade twice and halfway into what should have been the final remake, an employee comes by and asks me how I want it cooked. Really? THe first two sets of instructions weren't enough? You can't cook a pizza crust to "done" without specific instruction? I can understand if it was a special request, or I wanted it done a certain way, but my only expectation was "not raw" and they failed to deliver on that. read more
