Generally Wegmans is a great experience, especially if you prefer organic foods. I do not use organic foods and Wegmans doesn't offer non organic breads in their bakery department. In fact, the organic label is cleverly hidden to unsuspecting shoppers. At least non organic is available in fresh produce. We shouldn't have to be over-vigilant in picking out our favs. read more

This is the worst Wegman experience I've had in a while. I am 43 and I live behind the Wegmans. I am extremely disappointed in this company. I wish to see a better understanding of customers complaints. I got pizza and I thought everything was going to be fine until I opened the box I saw cheese completely smeared off of my pizza. I worked there for almost 3 years and I can't even shop there anymore with how ridiculous the prices are getting/knowing how some of the food is made and handled. Many items from the prepared food department comes from bags or a freezer, and back when I was on the sampling team pre-COVID, I was almost reprimanded for wanting to chop my own vegetables/cook the food at my station instead of using the pre made crap from the kitchen. They constantly put out produce with mold on it, don't rotate products properly, and put items that have been damaged/dropped back on the shelves. read more

We LOVE their sub shop, pizza, sandwich, and grab and go meals!! So much so, anytime we are in the area of a Wegmans we always get at least a sub for one of our meals! Danny's favorite is MY favorite. As for their other services, outstanding deli, bakery, breads, sushi, produce, groceries, and seasonal inventory is robust offering more selection than most other stores. They accept all manufacturers coupons and have their own brands and additional discounts. But I don't do all my shopping there because the non sale items are usually more costly than other stores. But for ALL specialty and hard to find items, this is the go to place. And let's not forget, the subs are the best around! read more

What is there to say about Wegmans that hasn't been said? They have a rabid fanbase of which I am a part of. Wegmans has been considered more an experience than a grocery store, and that's not far from the truth. I lived in Maryland for 4 years and when a Wegmans finally popped up, I purposely drove 45 minutes to shop at it. It was like receiving a hug from home. This location is one of the smaller locations, but they still have a wide selection of products in every department, including their own house brand which is great. Regardless of its size, it's in a pretty concentrated area, and tends to get pretty busy. I frequently get their subs (buffalo chicken finger is my favorite), and they offer plenty of ready-to-go meals. Their departments are always well stocked and it's extremely rare that they don't have something I want or need. They have a great deli department, their pharmacy is fast and efficient, and they have a great floral section for a grocery store. Their prices can be slightly higher than other stores, but the quality of product is better, as is the experience of shopping there. Employees are always friendly and seem happy, and they always have plenty of cash register lines open. Wegmans is simply the best grocery store that there is. read more

Wow! It kind of goes without saying, but there are a ton of different Wegmans stores around our area. Each one is a little bit different, so it's always a good thing to read the reviews about the one you are going to visit specifically. This Wegmans has been quite fantastic over the years. There products are placed in very convenient locations and there staff is always super friendly. I am especially fond of the Wegmans food. Their subs are extremely tasty, as well as their pizza. I had some delicious wokery today and was thrilled to see selections of food that are different from the Wegmans near me. They had a delicious beef with white mushrooms dish and they pork fried rice. I was super excited about that because most Wegmans wokery only offer vegetable fried rice. The pork fried rice was so good! The only reason I have to knock a star off, is because they keep raising the price of the wokery! It cost 14 bucks for me have lunch. A few years ago it would only be about 9 or 10 bucks. So, I am a longtime Wegmans shopper. Taft Rd is my current Wegmans. (previous Wegmans shopping locations in Rochester NY and Syracuse area). I prefer Wegmans over any other market as you can see the love and loyalty it has towards its customers every time you are there. It's clean, well-stocked, staff always there and ready/willing to help with anything at any time. It's the Wegmans culture. Truth be told, normally I would not think to write a Yelp review on Wegmans... I mean, it's Wegmans, the name alone means quality. However, last night I went grocery shopping at a Non-Wegmans store for a homebound sick family member. Grabbed her shopping list (about 25 items), and went to the store she normally goes to near her house. Without getting into much detail, as soon as I walked into this other store I was disappointed. It was filthy, low to no stock (more than normal in these covid times), and the meat was not fresh (more packages of browning meat than red meat), and customer service was non-existent. I have the HUGEST love/hate relationship with Wegman's. The subs are the best. They taste so fresh and they're just the best especially when you make it a meal and get a cookie to go with it! Wegman's is super convenient, it's actually right out front. They have so many locations that no matter where you live, the convenience is there. The produce is pretty much the main reason to go. It's well priced, it lasts a while before going bad, and it's always well stocked. The prices though, they're the reason I only do my last minute "no idea what I want for dinner" runs. This review is about Wegmans Catering, but specifically about the chef. Before I rant about my most recent experience, i must disclose that I am not a fan of Wegman's. Its a store that awes most folks by its grandeur, and people accept bad service. The best example of bad service that happens all the time is requesting a bix of ciffee for a meeting. Whenever you make that request in the morning, the coffee lady will say , Its gonna take 15 minutes and you should call the day before.". Are you kidding me. Be quiet and make the box of coffee. Be fortunate I chose Wegman's and not Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks. DD and SB are able to prepare a box of coffee in 5 minutes without complaint regardless of how long the line is. So today, i have a lunch for 7 people. They want subs and a salad w no meat. Nancy in catering is great, always accommodating requests. Her only limit is the chef. He refused, as usual, to make my salad because he didnt get 24 hrs notice. He has got to be kidding. They offered me to buy 7 individual salads from the case which may or may not meet my needs and cost more money. You think the chef would at least offer a discounted individual price to fulfill an order and do all he could to accommodate a customer w GOOD SERVICE. No. Not so much. Now I am forced to order from Panera, a rapid pick up. My opportunity to make an extra sales call before lunch is shot now that I have to make two stops. I am done with Wegman's catering. No more coffee pickups, no more bagel orders, no more donut runs. I will make it a plan to let all my drug rep friends about my experiences over and over until Wegmans SERVES the customer. Please do not go to Wegmans unless you are related to Danny Wegman and the chef knows that you are a part of the Wegman family. read more

Wegmas is all that, I know, I know. And this Californian is glad to find grapes from home at lower prices than the Bay Area, AND we get Whole Foods atmosphere without the eye popping prices. That said, some Wegmans are better than others, and I have been absolutely turned off by the lock-down mentality of the management and "Customer Service" folks at this store. They are all about being right, winning the argument. And they seem to never bake enough bread. Shop after work and you are fighting over crumbs. Equipment like scales not maintanied, more of an edgy messiness here. I have been to worse neighborhoods that have much nicer Wegmans.. Onandaga Blvd for example, great management, comes to mind. Another gripe, the pizzas stay out under the lamps far far too long. That all said, the staff out on the floor, in the trenches so to speak, are kind and helpful, I gladly give them that. I found Nichol's in the village a refreshing change. Smaller selection, their customer service only comes in one variety: charming. read more

Wegmans is the institution I miss the most from upstate NY (even more than Dinosaur bbq). They are the best grocery store in town, and one of the best I have ever been to (including my current fav, Trader Joe's). They have it all: fresh and immaculate tasting produce, organic products, an amazing selection of standard and gourmet groceries, many locations, and excellent prices. On top of that most stores have a bakery, pizzeria, deli, and maybe even a sushi bar. If you are new to the area definitely give this place or any of its other locations a try. This Wegmans is close to everyone of my family's houses so i am always going here. When I come home one of the first things I do is get a deposit return on all my bottles my kids love helping to do that too. The store is always clean, open and airy. It's an inviting place to shop. I can't explain why i always come here when I am home, but I don't feel at home until i am here. The food is always fresh, the bread and baked goods are amazing. Pretty lame reviewing a grocery store, but Wegmans is just that good! Not just the produce and meats, (although they are really good), but the meals that are already made - love the salmon! Oh and don't forget the subs and salads. Hard to believe a grocery store makes better subs than any sub shop around, but I guess it makes sense since they have the best produce, the best meat, and a great in store bakery - what more do you need to also make the best sub around? Not too hard to figure out why P&C got smacked around right here in their own back yard. Loved the natural foods section in this Wegman's. I even found almond milk yogurt and herbal water (flavored with lemongrass, mint and vanilla)! Who knew?! There's no store I miss more after having moved away from upstate New York than Wegmans. The store is always clean, attractive and well organized. Their produce, dairy and meats are always fresh. Their prepackaged foods are both convenient and tasty...a great lunch option compared to local fast food joints. I guess I have to right good reviews as well ! I deliver lots of orders from Wegmans and the pizza and wings always smells so good, had to eventually try it. Medium pizza with cream sauce , mozz, roasted garlic and roasted mushrooms. 24 boneless bites came to $27. I arrived early for pickup and asked for the pizza to be cooked a little crisper on the bottom . I was pleasantly surprised !!!!! Product was good , hot and fresh . I recommend this as an option to any of the local pizza joints any day of the week. Dynamite . Only negative thing I have to say is that I felt that the medium was a tad small and the pricing for the toppings based on the pizza size should not fluctuate so much . It should just be a standard price no matter the size. Seems a little OD to charge a different price for toppings based on the size of the pie especially because the amount of toppings was not plentiful but very tastey it was . Nice selection at lunch time, if you go for dinner it will most likely be the same items that have been sitting for hours. It's expansive for what it is, but for the most part pretty good. Subs are wonderful and they have combo deals that include soup and a soda, which is rather nice as their soup prices expensive for a self serve cafeteria style I'd recommend lunch and avoid dinner until they decide to put fresh items out. read more

Wegmans kinda annoys me. I am a vegetarian and although they have a great selection of veggie stuff, the prices are kinda high. I also hate how they are pushing out the major brands and replacing them with their own brands, for example: I needed charcoal for my grill yesterday, yes they had 3 different kinds out front: Wegmans Brand, and 2 big national brands, The wegmans brand was like $8 and the 2 national brands were $17! I went to a different store and bought Kingsford for $9. I have countless examples of things just like that. read more
