This is a place you go to when you do not have time to go to Wegmans. Do not expect much. Today I went to this market and went to a cashier that was just finishing up with another customer. Just as I put my groceries on the conveyor, this woman comes from the office and decides to do some type of audit on his register- he could not wait on me until she was done, I just looked at her in amazement, "you really have to do this now" she didn't even hurry as I stood there staring at her waiting for her to do whatever the hell she was doing so that eventually I could have the privilege of paying for the things i was buying. Previous visit I asked someone if they still has some of a sale item that was empty on the shelf, asking her if she could check the storage room and she responded "if it is not on the shelf we dont have it, that is all i know" Now think about it folks, when someone says "thats all i know" how can it be true??? they knew how to come and work and give you a hard time, then knew how to get dressed...what it really means is "screw you I do not want to help you.. I just want to do the minimum and get paid for being a crappy employee! Sorry for the tangent, bottom line is this is not always a pleasant place to be and should be reserved for when you dont have time to go somewhere better. read more

Good take out food, I used their pizza service for my daughters birthday party. The selection could be better, but it's a great place for staple food locally when I don't want to make a big or far store run read more

I've had nothing but good experiences here and this is my primary grocery store since moving to manlius. I find that in general the staff are so helpful and way friendlier than other tops I've been to. Prices are on par with Wegmans and Price chopper, but shorter lines and parking is always easy... way less hectic than those other two lots which makes for much less stressful shopping. People wear masks here too which is appreciated. read more

Been getting slowly worse over the last few years but yesterday's visit hit rock bottom. Horrible service, terrible attitudes, but the finally straw was the snotty comments from the dopey checkout boy. Yelled at my wife for leaving the checkout before he took payment from me for the grocerirs (literally had cash in my hand and giving it to him!). Truth be told my wife walked away because his body odor was so offensive it was gagging! Nope, never ever again. read more

I didn't have a good experience here and these stores keep pushing me to Wegmans. I went to the service desk one morning and the woman working was less than pleasant and didn't want to help, let alone I waited 5 minutes for her to come out of her box when she saw me the whole time. I had to ask her a few times to help me with what I needed but stated that it was too early for her to do the task. Too early? Or she just didn't want to work is more what i thought. I've had a similar experience with the workers here and just don't care for it. The store itself is nice sometimes it has been better stocked and cleaner than other times. It's less expensive but not worth the headache most times for me. read more

This is a nice Tops - redone when Tops was updating some of their stores to be more "market fresh" which included aesthetic updates as well as changing some of the items they carry and store layout. This store is small, parking can be a bit of a pain sometime, but it works well if you're in Manlius and don't want to drive to Wegmans. As always, I view Tops as a nice alternative to Wegmans when in need, but my loyalties will never lie with them - a little too pricey, selection isn't always great, and staff certainly isn't up to snuff with Wegs. read more

We (husband and I) were shopping at the Tops store located in Chittenango, New York. We have had many difficulties with ill family members, passing of family pets, this entire pandemic and the fears from it, etc.... As have most of Americans. We just wanted to give a shout out to our cashier the evening of October 22, 2020 around 6:30PM after dropping off goodies to a relative in a nursing home in Chittenango. Our cashier was Tanya and she was super pleasant, we actually laughed for the first time in probably days or weeks and she was unbelievable at packing our bags. We did no bring a sufficient number of bags but Tanya make it work somehow. It was amazing to watch he organize and get all of our items in our few bags. The products on their shelves are often expired, especially in the produce department. Some of the seafood is not fresh. Overly priced compared to other markets. They don't carry a wide selection, and the parking is terrible. Also, the managers are not very friendly here. read more

All the employees are awesome and so helpful. The store is super clean and they have a wide selection to choose from. Great when you don't have the time for wegmans. And very reasonably priced read more

Prices at Manlius Tops are a little high but the staff is very friendly and always ready to help. It is good to have this grocery store in town as other closer to the city are too BIG to offer much help to each shopper. read more
