Best grocery store around. Great long lasting produce. Meats are tender and fresh. They also have new products all the time and are giving out samples. Wegman's is famous for being amazing! I'll never go anywhere else to get my weekly groceries. There are always a TON of lines open and you'll never wait behind more than like one other customer to check out. Staff is incredibly friendly and I really enjoy how nice this one is. Other Wegman's in the area still have their old orange coolers and 90's feel, this one is updated and everything looks new and nice. I just wish they'd quit changing the bread area around so I don't have to search for my buns on a different shelf every month. haha! Oh, and the main aise by the cakes has tables of cookies in the middle and make it impossible to navigate a larger cart by a few slow browsing shoppers, sometimes you know exactly what you need and get stuck in this first aise just trying to pass through. read more

I also miss Wegman's! They need to expand to the West Coast. They always have great produce, an amazing hot/cold prepared foots section, and a nice variety of organic foods. This comment is on the sub shop not the store - don't bother to order one, you will be greatly disappointed. I ordered the small $4 BLT sub - the young man at the counter must be new (one can hope). His co-worker ended up helping him but the end result was just bad. I got a half sub roll with a couple shreds of lettuce, one very thin end of a tomato the size of a dime, a couple peppers and almost one strip of bacon. I asked about four times for onions, which I had to go back for. The Zappo chips were seriously stale - even though the expiration was for Sept 10, 2012 they were not even remotely crisp. Like rubber. So for $5.21 I got a half roll with stale chips. The store is okay but doesn't always have the brands I want as they are stocking only "Wegman's" brand. Much prefer Nichols in Liverpool for my shopping. read more

This is one of the places I shop at for the majority of my food during my business travels to Syracuse. In addition to the usual supermarket items, this particular supermarket has a large selection of precooked foods and even sushi (that is made right there). This particular Wegmans also has buffet tables serving Chinese food, Indian food, salads, and various desserts. The breads near the front entrace were even warm from being baked recently. The food items were also not particularily pricey for the area. With such a broad selection, I didn't need to eat out at restaurants during my combined months of business trips in the area this year. read more

I love Wegmans. I will go there for lunch and grab sushi, or 1 of the many daily lunch specials. I'm also a serious Wegmans shopper I can't seem to go anywhere else. They have everything you need for low prices. Almost everything Wegmans brand is just as good as the original product. The staff there is always helpful in every department. How does Wegmans consistently rank as one of the nation's best supermarkets? Lobbying? While the Wegmans in Dewit is nice for their expansive selection, it still lacks in international offerings. At least they recently fixed the awful flow in Liverpool. Now you don't trip over flowers when you walk in. I'm not a fan of their meat. They clearly butcher offsite. Quality just isn't there and they offer very limited cuts. The seafood is no better... most previously frozen. Products are confusingly arranged. For example, try to find canned whipped cream or Irish butter. The worst is the produce. They often have spoiled produce on display. Over ripened avocados, soft onions, moldy bagged potatoes. I have never seen greens so often doused with water. Wegmans never seems to have sales, especially on meat. Prices are high. Trader Joe's is far better. I only wish there was a Whole Foods pre-Amazon, or a Sprouts market. And how many times do I need to be overcharged because checkers don't know their produce and put incorrect codes? If it weren't the closest market, I'd never come. read more

Love this place. The subs are fantastic and the ambiance is really pretty nice. They have a good selection of products, especially if you aren't cooking American food they have everything you need to try most anything. The only thing that can be a pain, sometimes, is the wait to be checked out. The lines do tend to get long. But if that's the only negative then that's fine by me! read more

This wegmans gets all my stars not just for the quality, price and service but their restrooms are the best and cleanest of not just other wegmans locations but any public restroom. Just wanted to say some people notice these things and it's appreciated. And the wegmans brand hand soaps are a nice touch. They are all lovely! One of the best wegmans. Although manlius has this one beat the staff are so happy and friendly and the food selection is always stocked. This was the closest Wegmans to my house and the best. Not to busy but big enough to have evreything i wanted.

Wegmans consistently mischarges (overcharges) customers by listing the price as X and charging Y, where X is less than Y. You wouldn't know this unless you checked each and every single purchased item after checking out. This continues to happen with regularity and across all their stores, despite my numerous reports on the issue with various managers over several years. If this was an honest mistake, you would think that there's about a 50% chance that the customer benefits from the mistake, but no, it's always the store that benefits. I've made so many trips to the customer service desk after checking out to get $1 back. The process is such a waste of time, especially when they have to make a trip to verify my claim. This location is 10x better than the Cicero store where people are as nice as Cicero can get, and that's not saying much. But ALL WEGMANS locations APPEAR to be employing illegals - and since Syracuse loves their illegals, nobody cares. This isn't the sweet kids on the cash registers - but check the men and women stocking or doing the floors/cleaning and they have rotten teeth and can't speak English. It's quite shocking to go from the boy cashier on the Express lane to the lady laying down fresh mats in the bakery. I bet they are hiring illegals at every store. Just a hunch. read more

Wegmans is okay. It's a beautiful store ... but their foods all have a very unique taste. They are big on sushi - I guess people still think this is good for you ... eating raw fish is never, never, never good. It always exposes one to bacteria and worms etc. I wish people would get over this fad. Wegmans subs are okay but you have to go out of your way to not get "spicey this or spicey that" in your sub. Their store cookies are WAAAAAY overpriced but taste good if you decide to splurge in a sugar fit. Their carving station has AWESOME turkey sandwiches but the roast beef is ALWAYS tough. Their "plain" chickens taste closest to the kind you make at home. Other than that - their pharmacy had this BIG push to get you to switch your prescriptions over. So I switched my dad's over because I'm his caregiver - and they are horrible! Pharmacy is WAY too busy. One guy at pharmacy hung up on me while trying to get help processing a script thru Medicare Part B. The manager Sean is nice enough - but he has no clue some people working in his pharmacy are complete idiots. Also they aren't always friendly. They're stressed out irritable. Sorry I transferred scripts here. Always nervous going to pharmacy now. Other than that - they have good prices on dry goods but DON'T get your meat there. That vacuum packaged meat they have always stinks when you open it. Got to Price Chopper for meat and seafood. Get product and dry goods at Wegmans. read more
