The staff wasn't that friendly. We both got the Spanish latte, and I also got their breakfast taco. I didn't enjoy the coffee. Surprisingly coffee was bitter, even though it had condensed milk. Located on the ground floor of the Joule Hotel, Weekend Coffee is a cute, well m-lit and nicely decorated coffee shop in downtown Dallas. They have killer latte, friendly staff and cool products to shop as souvenirs. The shop is quite small. Cute little spot located inside the Joule hotel. I stopped by 3-4 times during my week in Dallas. I came late mornings (around 10a) and there was never a line. Highly recommend the Spanish latte. I'm a sucker for anything with condensed milk. I tried it hot and cold, and even as an iced coffee fan, I recommend getting it hot. Otherwise, the condensed milk just clumps at the bottom and you end up drinking it through the straw. Although, hack if you live nearby like I did while visiting: get the latte hot and pour over ice when you get home. Not only do you get more coffee, but the condensed milk will actually combine. Staff was friendly and quick to make orders. There are a couple stools inside and a few small tables leading into the hotel available for use. They also offer a few pastries/food items, so definitely get there earlier if you're interested. read more

I was looking for a nearby coffee shop by my hotel where I felt I could get a craft latte. I could've easily gone to the Starbucks around the corner, but I wanted to support a local cafe. The Weekend Coffee was a cute and quaint coffee shop inside of The Joule. I stopped by on a Wednesday morning and loved what I ordered so much that I got the same breakfast the following day. My go-to drink is a dirty chai, which they made well. The Weekend Coffee offered breakfast tacos (choice between bacon or potato) in addition to an assortment of pastries. I got one of breakfast potato with eggs and cheese, which was excellent for a pre-made breakfast taco. The eggs were nicely fluffy, and I loved the texture from the shredded potatoes (like hashbrowns). My taco also came with a side of mild salsa that wasn't spicy at all, but the flavor was exactly what the taco needed. Between the taco and my drink, everything was less than $15. What a steal especially considering my cost to Starbucks would've been more expensive for similar items. I'll be back on my next trip! read more

My BIL ordered a similar espresso drink, received a smaller size than requested, and also had a similar tasting drink. I've been here several times now, and I make a point to go anytime I'm in the area which isn't often. This little coffee shop's ambiance is stunning! A secret little gem. And I think they possibly make the best dirty chai latte in Dallas. So yummy, a spicy sweet treat. I appreciate that despite being a small and local coffee shop, they still cater to the public by offering plenty of milk alternatives such as almond milk. As it's sort of tucked away in the Joule, I do think it's tricky to hang out in this little coffee shop as it's VERY small. Came here a few times, menu is simple, some pastry and baked good items in the little case, they also offer breakfast tacos (not sure from where though). Drip coffee is tasty, cold brew is good, lattes are nice, cheese biscuit is tasty (comes with butter & jam). Just get in line, order at counter, they will call you by name when ready, if dining in, they will bring out your coffee and food order to you. Friendly, hipster-ish staff, people that work and live in the area seem to go there a lot, dining area is in the shared hotel and cafe part. If you need to go, you can use the fancy hotel bathroom which is across the hall. Great coffee spot! read more

I got my receipt and it just stated "1 Iced Latte" so I got overcharged or the menu price is incorrect. Really confused there. The iced vanilla latte isn't anything spectacular. WOW, this place blew me away. I loved the vibes of the place, especially with the clean marble table aesthetic and "coffee" neon sign. Although the shop is small, it was tranquil and clean. They also had Cereal magazines out for those who want to read it. I also love how the whole area around the coffee shop in general is so bougie. Weekend Coffee is in the fancy Joule Hotel, and I definitely see how the the shop fits in. I chose a latte since that's what I normally get and thought I could compare the taste with previous lattes I've had... and WOW, I liked the latte here a LOT. The milk they used in the latte tasted really full and different than other milks I've tried. I don't know if it was whole milk or some other milk but it was a great touch. The service was also super great, and the workers were friendly. Found this place on Yelp (as always), and I expected it to be good, based off of previous reviews. Here's what I ordered - Cold Brew Coffee: OH YUM. Maybe the best cold brew ever. They offered to add milk and sugar and I asked them to use their expertise and make the judgment call to make it the very best. They definitely did!! Spanish Latte: FRICKEN DELICIOUS. I've never had this kind of latte before. It's made with condensed milk instead of regular milk and cinnamon. 8 oz is the perfect coffee to milk ratio for a latte. Iced Tea (Hibiscus): such a rich flavor for iced tea! (Full disclosure: I can't remember the formal name they gave the iced tea.) Iced Tea (Mango/Pineapple): another great iced tea flavor. (Full disclosure: can't remember the name of this one either but pretty sure it had 'boy' in the title.) Chai Latte: Happens to be my favorite chai ever, but pretty sure it's the Big Train Chai mix that you can buy at the store that many coffee spots use. I still recommend it if you don't care for coffee or are in the mood for something different. Breakfast Tacos - Chorizo is really good chorizo! Weekend Coffee is currently my go to coffee shop when I'm in Downtown Dallas. The vibe here is unique and different, mainly because it's found inside a beautiful hotel named "The Joule". I love how the decor is always changing inside, and usually when I come the crowd isn't that huge- so seating isn't an issue. Coffee (Cold Brew): Their Cold Brew comes in one size, a general medium sized plastic cup for 4 bucks. I'm not a coffee professional but it falls into the light-medium roast. If you like to add flavoring you'll be limited to just agave syrup. It's good because it's not overwhelmingly sweet nor bitter, the agave gives it a good balance. read more
