I'd already packed much of the stuff I cared about and left it to Careful Movers to do the heavy lifting of my many boxes and the furniture and electronics. Since I have stairs in my house and the new one has an elevator he estimated 4 men and more hours due to stairs and elevator that could potentially take longer. Enrique and his 3-man team arrived before the scheduled window. They did a walk through for assessment and then proceeded methodically and meticulously to pack what I did not and move everything to their 1 truck (yes, 1 truck was enough). They packed in 3 hours. At the destination (which was local), in spite of the elevator, they finished the move in 3 hours. 10 hours was estimated, but Enrique did it in 6 hours. Kudos to them! They did a fabulous job. The only issue we had was crating our art - which is not the crew's fault but arranged via the office. We paid a lot ($300+) for each "crate" and expected fully constructed wooden boxes, but what arrived for each "crate" was a poorly constructed wooden rectangle to place the art in and some additional wood pieces to put each side to secure it - but it was in no way what was promised and needed a lot of extra layers to be even partially secure and protected. They arrived on time and worked very hard and quick to get everything loaded up onto the truck. The movers were very professional and had all the supplies we and they needed. We had some big wire racks and they were able to saran wrap a bunch of boxes on them. They also had some wardrobe boxes that had a rod to hang stuff on. We had stuff at two locations so they had to pick stuff up at one, leave some stuff from spot 1 behind at spot 2, and pick up everything else from spot two before taking it all to its final landing spot. A couple things did break in transit, some cubbies and a glass baking dish, the dish was my fault though as it wasn't wrapped at all, and was in a collapsible bin. They were also able to take away an old mattress, it was a little more expensive that my boyfriend was originally quoted, but after a long day of packing and moving, we were fine paying it to not have to deal with it.

In addition, the guys kept complaining about how much stuff we had and it felt very disrespectful so they also complained that things wouldn't fit up the stairs when they actually did. They also did not take everything from the old house so I had to make an extra trip myself to try and fit things into my small car. I've had many moving experiences from different companies and these guys are by far the worst experience I've had.
