Hats off to this company for another well coordinated effort! After a few months we decided to jettison more stuff from our original items, and the office and movers worked in coordination with my husband as to what pieces we wanted to leave behind. Robert who first moved us out took detailed notes so we were able to identify clearly items our family was going to pick up locally in their storage facility and what Advantage could give away to the Salvation Army. No problem there. Come actual day of the move into our high rise unit, we were able to request and get Robert who first supervised the crew in the beginning now to supervise our move in. The crew was so calm and patient, it really helped us to not freak out with all that had to be done. They offered great input to help make things faster and easier. They clearly had years of experience, they were so knowledgeable about things we had to dismantle. They even helped us make boxes. They were careful to wrap everything in blankets. We had zero scratches and nothing broke. They really hustled and were able to pivot to another task when my friend was constantly changing her mind about where stuff went. This was the most unprepared move I've ever been a part of with a person who is very, very particular and they handled it perfectly! I didn't think we'd be able to get it all done but the crew managed everything until the very end, even helping us put drawers back in dressers as those of us helping were exhausted. They did a fantastic job covering the floors so the wood floors didn't get scratched and were conscientious about wearing shoe covers when they were in the new house. They even helped us decide if we wanted to keep the floor covered by telling us to not keep the tape on the floors for more than a day or two. I can't imagine a better crew helping us with this monumental task. Their kindness and encouraging smiles and professional demeanor were outstanding and I really felt like we were in good hands. Thank you to Domingo and crew, you were absolutely essential in us completing this complicated move!

Getting a per-hour quote and scheduling with their team was super quick and easy; they were very responsive and their pricing is very competitive. They arrived on-time and worked efficiently + carefully to pack up the home and deconstruct the furniture. They were also more than willing to move around furniture at our new place if we found that we wanted it oriented differently. All-in-all, the experience took longer than originally quoted but that was because we had a LOT to pack and move. Again, the quote is based on the number of hours to complete the move, so I still fully believe that the service is fairly and competitively priced. I'm also very grateful to the team of movers Ludwig, Simon, Jose, and Lupe for staying so long and working so hard that day. It is very much appreciated because now we are in our new home with everything clearly labelled and nothing broken. I would recommend Joshua's Moving for any Bay Area move. If I ever need to move again, I know who I will be calling. Thank you!

They arrived on time and worked very hard and quick to get everything loaded up onto the truck. The movers were very professional and had all the supplies we and they needed. We had some big wire racks and they were able to saran wrap a bunch of boxes on them. They also had some wardrobe boxes that had a rod to hang stuff on. We had stuff at two locations so they had to pick stuff up at one, leave some stuff from spot 1 behind at spot 2, and pick up everything else from spot two before taking it all to its final landing spot. A couple things did break in transit, some cubbies and a glass baking dish, the dish was my fault though as it wasn't wrapped at all, and was in a collapsible bin. They were also able to take away an old mattress, it was a little more expensive that my boyfriend was originally quoted, but after a long day of packing and moving, we were fine paying it to not have to deal with it.

The movers handled my belongings far more carelessly than I expected. They were rough with my mattress, which was frustrating to watch because you expect it to be handled with basic care, not dragged around and treated like it doesn't matter. On top of that, my dining table and chairs were damaged during the move, and the shelf on my Traeger was broken. Seeing multiple items damaged during one move was incredibly disappointing and upsetting. What has made the whole experience even worse is what happened afterward. I am still waiting on the insurance claim to be resolved, which has only added more frustration to an already bad situation. Instead of feeling like this was handled professionally and with urgency, the process has felt stressful and drawn out. I also dealt with Vanessa, the owner, and unfortunately, that did not improve the experience. I understand accidents can happen during a move, but when people are trusting you with their furniture and personal belongings, care and accountability matter. Based on my experience, I would not use Friends Moving Service again.

We used Orlando's moving company based on a personal recommendation and had a very poor experience…read more From the start, the job was underestimated. What should have been split into 2 days was forced into one extremely long day, leaving the crew exhausted and increasingly careless. (Ended up with 13.5 hours billable hours) Tasks Orlando assured us would be "no problem" took over an hour, and the movers directly told us they were uncomfortable performing them. The most upsetting moment was when our $4,200 sofa was dropped from the truck right in front of us, causing visible damage to the wooden frame. While compensation was eventually discussed, the response from Orlando and his wife Ada felt like they didn't care much about how we feel. The attitude was essentially "these things happen," which was deeply disappointing given the value and care expected for expensive furniture. Execution throughout the move was inconsistent. One headboard was carefully wrapped while an identical one was not and arrived dirty. We were told entire floors were finished when obvious items were still sitting untouched. I personally pointed out items that had been missed and was explicitly told there would be a final sweep before departure. That sweep did not happen--multiple items were left behind at the old house. Communication was another major issue. Not everyone spoke English comfortably, which led to confusion at the new home. Despite clear labels, items ended up in the wrong rooms, creating unnecessary chaos. We were charged 13.5 hours at $400/hour (originally quoted at $450/hour), including the crew's break time, which management did not remove from the billable hours. That practice felt shady, especially since comparable white-glove movers we've used charge less and deduct breaks. Bottom line: this is an efficiency-based crew charging one of the highest hourly rates without delivering care, organization, follow-through, or accountability. We would not use them again or recommend.
