Our journey with We The People Construction started back in 2022. We met with Ben the owner. A very nice and easygoing man and extremely tall (haha). After hearing the plan and the pricing we hired him to redo our roof to the Owens Corning shingles and a new electrical panel with a solar system and batteries. Even though the county made us face alot of hurdles they completed the work in a timely manner, the workers were attentive to detail and every concern we had was answered right away. We loved the work and this company so much that we decided to let them remodel our pool and backyard. Our pool was in horrible shape, they redid the plaster, installed mini pebbles and new pavers. Our backyard looks stunning. Unlike the typical contractor- client relationship the other people on the job were very responsive to my questions.Half the time clients struggled to get what they want or to interject their contribution to the project, Ben and his team listened. We were able to come up with a good working plan. Even if it didn't get done right away. The response was timely and correct. The next time we dealt with the people, construction was right after the Eaton fire. Thankfully, our house suffered only minor damages. And did not destroy altogether, like many other houses in my neighborhood. Ben, called me right away to check up on us. Which was nice, but we already told them that we are working with the contractor that the insurance company assigned to us and with an independent public adjuster. Ben, said, if this not going to work out, call me back. 6 months later after nothing got done I indeed called Ben. Ben showed up the next day with his insurance specialist, jordan, and they both came up with the plan. The repairs and the fire restoration starts.The very next day and jordan was able to negotiate the payout amount on our behalf .With the insurance company. They remodeled pretty much our entire house, the kitchen.The bathroom, the flooring, the painting insulation, new water heater. In consultation with ben and jordan, we planned to introduce state of the art appliances and changes in our home.It was good to do this because we have greater energy efficiency. We have less heat loss. And literally everything works the way it should. So this project takes us into, and i'm not going to say the next century, but takes us into the next decade. And we expect to have very good life span on all of these materials. Because they are high-grade. I would recommend we the people as a construction consultant, and ally in the project. Where do I start We wanted to update and repair our swimming pool do to age and leaks. We wanted to get some estimates and start enj our pool again. We called we the people and scheduled a appointment with Jordan and Dana. And yes they asked for both my wife and I to be there and then began the multiple hour we missed dinner that night and they basically talked us into going with them saying all the right things like we will have project foreman on-site whenever work is being done. not true. They started demo of our concrete pool deck on that Sunday with no portable restroom for the employees. and Jordan did show up for I would say ten minutes and then never again would any foreman from we the people would be onsite while work was being done by subcontractors. No quality control whatsoever. I have pictures of every aspect of the work including them trying to pump the waste water from when they were jetting my old pool walls into my neighbors mainline waste pipe under his house again I have pictures. I had to call we the people to have them call the subs and have them stop. Turns out they didn't have a sump pump strong enough to pump it up my driveway to my waste line.then when it came time to remove the concrete debris from my pool deck they used a bobcat on my sloped driveway again no we the people foreman on-site at all while every time they went to scoop the concrete up they would drop very large pieces onto my neighbors air conditioner and onto his property. A yes I have pictures and video of them do it and once again I had to call we the people to make them call the subs and get them to stop. lets not forget the big dump truck double parked right next to my neighbors car and them dumping chunks of concrete into that dump truck from the other side of it potentially hitting the car with concrete. Yes I have pictures. Now there is so much more that would take way to long to read but now I want to mention the compl lack of help with picking out finishes for our pool and how we the people tried to get us to use regular pavers that you would use on your driveway or walkway around our pool they sent us out to rialto waste of time the display they had was a joke basically the pavers on the ground outside were the display none of them looked good enough for the pool area. We asked we the people if we could see some of the work they did on other customers pools and they said they would look into it then they gave us a number to a place near LAX called Patagonia building supplies and we were surprised and upset. Surprised that we found some things we liked and upset that we were sent out of our way the first time to see a very limited selection of pavers we didn't like but we're being pushed to use because of the budget we the people had anyways nobody ( Dana) from we the people came along to help us choose or get pricing so we used someone from Patagonia to get pricing and he was very helpful. So keep in mind we had prices of pavers we liked and then we get a message that we can go see a previous customers pool in the hills of Altadena nice area the pool looked old but it had regular looking pavers around it not what we wanted so we told Dana about the pavers we liked at Patagonia and she then told us that they were out of our budget and made up this price of like 26 dollars a sq foot when we had already got the price of like 5 dollars a sq foot and when we told her she disagreed with us so I told her I would call my guy whose business card I hand on me to confirm the price I shit you not she told my wife she had to go and within two seconds she jumped into her car and took off it was kinda funny and not at the same time. Skip ahead to the work on the pool again no we the people foreman on-sit. The wife and I went out to a pool place in van nuys for a heater and the finish tiles and color for inside the pool. We talked to a guy in the parking lot that was loading a pool heater into his truck we asked him what he does and he said everything that we were doing to our pool he does he gave us a very nice price to install a heater and he even let us use his account to purchase the heater because the place doesn't sell to the public. So we got the heater for cost. We the people wanted 5 grand for the heater and salt water conversion kit and another 1600 to instal. So fast forward a little and our pool heater guy came out to look at the site for the equipment and then proceeded to tell us everything wrong that was being done to our new pool remodel he even sent me pictures of thing that my pool needed and we the people subs were not doing again I have all pictures a text messages to prove everything even the plumbing of the pool pump was not done right down to the wrong type of elbows. Every time I sent a text with pictures of why my pool didn't have this or that again I would send them detailed pictures and information they would then add it and proceed to say that my pool doesn't really need it but then suddenly do. read more

My mom, who is retired and lives in Montrose, goes to great lengths to keep her home in good condition. When we learned that her front and rear decks were suffering from termite damage, we needed to address it quickly to prevent the termites from spreading to the rest of the house. After the termite treatment was completed, we turned our focus to rebuilding the decks. Demolition began the following morning, and within a couple of days, the damaged decking was cleared out. We then reviewed the finer details and measurements to ensure everyone agreed on the scope of work. We appreciated that they welcomed slight adjustments and even accommodated some minor custom feature requests. Annie, who was always friendly and readily available, helped my mom select the perfect color and style for the high-quality composite materials. She made sure to be present at the project's start and periodically checked in along the way. When Annie wasn't available, her colleague Bryan stepped in to ensure the project progressed smoothly and that we were satisfied with the work. Once the area was cleared, the framing was delivered swiftly, and we immediately recognized the quality of the craftsmanship. After the composite materials arrived, the decking was laid down efficiently, with workmanship that was top-notch. As minor issues arose, they were promptly addressed with creative solutions until we were satisfied. Throughout the project, we were impressed by the exceptional customer service. Despite many different people being involved, Liron, Annie, and Bryan were consistently kind, courteous, and professional. They were responsive, showed genuine respect, and quickly addressed any questions or concerns, From start to finish, the craftsmanship was excellent, and the new decks have a high-end look and feel that really enhances the home's exterior. We had just purchased our new condo in Orange County and our patio area originally from the 1980s was in dire need of a remodel. We hadn't been able to use the outdoor space because it was falling apart and dry rotted since we moved in. The deck also wasn't built properly and pests were getting into our house from under the deck because it was fully exposed to the outside. After doing some research, I reached out to We The People on Yelp for a consultation and got a call back from someone quickly. We were thrilled We The People was willing to work with us even though we had such a small space. They asked us for more details of our project and set up an appointment later that week to send out one of their project managers. We were well taken care of by Tom who listened to what we were envisioning, our needs, and our timeline. Tom gave us some suggestions and even provided us with a handy photo he mocked up quickly of our space of what it could look like. Tom also showed us some past projects that were the same size as ours or used the same materials so we could get an idea of what it would look like in an actual space. We decided to rip out our old, decrepit deck, level out the ground and slightly slope the area so it was flush with our sliding glass door but also promote it to drain properly into the greenway. We decided on some lovely stone pavers with black polymeric sand and a wonderful river rock border to give it some additional visuals and additional drainage. Tom was then able to put together a proposal and contract on the spot so we could look it over with him so we were clear on the work being done, the materials, and answer any questions. What we also appreciated is they could start the work the next day! We had already had consultations with several other construction companies but after this experience, we knew we wanted to go with WTP. Ori, the supervisor, and the crew came by the next day and quickly demolished the deck and over the course of the week they had done all the work required with high quality and very fast. We appreciated how well both Tom and Ori communicated with us throughout the process giving us updates, asking for feedback, and making sure we were well taken care of. The results were amazing! The area looks so warm and welcoming now and we know the high quality of the craftsmanship will last a really long time. We can now properly use the outdoor space for gardening and a future outdoor play space for our future little ones. This review is for a consultation we had last year. I wasn't planning to leave a review, but we kept receiving unsolicited flyers, so I decided to share our experience. A representative named Alan came to our door and pushed hard to schedule an estimate. He repeatedly insisted my husband be present, even though I never mentioned having a husband and I am the homeowner. That was my first red flag. After reading additional reviews, I saw similar complaints. I later called to cancel the appointment, but the office rep Kate refused to accept my cancellation and said someone would still be coming. Another red flag. The salesman Josh arrived on time, but what should have been a one hour estimate turned into a five hour high pressure sales pitch. We told him no multiple times and explained the quote was far outside our budget, yet he continued pushing different options instead of respecting our decision. Eventually, worn down, we signed the paperwork. After he left, we realized we were not comfortable and used the three day cancellation clause in the contract. When we tried to cancel, he attempted to guilt us and even tried to make us sign an agreement saying we wouldn't share our experience publicly. Only after repeated back and forth did he finally remove that condition. Overall, the experience felt very pushy and unprofessional, and we chose not to move forward with this company. read more

Because of my incredible first experience with We The People Construction back in 2022, my wife and I decided to engage them on a larger project. Specifically, we decided to remodel our primary bathroom, our kitchen, and replace our roof (and, as an added challenge, we decided to do this during the holidays). I didn't think that it would be possible to improve upon our first engagement with We The People, but they exceeded our already-high expectations. Tom, our project manager, was absolutely phenomenal. He kept us updated every step of the way with timely communication so there were never any surprises. This August, I decided to renovate my bathroom, so I started searching for a contractor. I found WTP from a Home Improvement Guidebook. I interviewed with two other contractors but I decided to go with WTP because they understood my visions of the bathroom, the pricing and most importantly they tried to understand me as a client. During my first meeting with the project manager, Mr. David Hames, David asked me what I was looking for in a contractor. I told him that I'm looking for a contractor that is honest, communicative and transparent. I was surprised by the question but really glad that they asked. Renovation is stressful and since it is not my area of expertise, I did a lot of homework myself and WTP also provided a lot of guidance on this whole process so I didn't feel like I was doing this blindly. Issues tend up come up during the process, i tend to get anxious but David was able to find a solution that is professional, and thoughtful to the client. They were quick at addressing the issues and that really gave me a peace of mind in the process and my trust in WTP. Long review incoming. I don't have the words to express my gratitude for We the People Construction as they have turned a nightmare situation into our dream home. I am the caretaker for my parents, so I had to move back into their house. They are both hoarders and the house was in desperate need of repairs. I wanted to renovate the house as I felt that the situation was hazardous for all of us as it was difficult to walk around safely inside as well as all of the physical damage due to earthquakes, termites, neglect, etc. I also wanted to provide my parents with a nice home to enjoy the rest of their lives. I called several contractors and explained my situation, and they either didn't want the job because of how difficult the project would be due to the hoarding situation or they wanted me to clear the mess on my own before even providing me with a quote. This caused extreme amounts of stress and I wasn't sure I'd ever find somebody to help. I then found We The People Construction. I've spoken with a large number of people from their company and all of them have been friendly and truly care about me and my family. We all knew going into the project that there was a lot of work to be done, but they delivered on all of their promises and definitely stand by their work. What I truly appreciate is that they did a fantastic job of listening to me and worked hard to make sure that my needs/requests were met. I only have 1 picture of the house exterior and no pictures of the interior before the project started as I really felt embarrassed by the house and living situation, but you can just Google "hoarders" and it would be comparable to that. The after pictures should speak volumes about the great job done by We The People. This is just a small amount of all of the great work they've done but I don't want to attach hundreds of photos. My mother is so happy with the house now, and she has changed her hoarder habits because she loves the renovations and wants to make sure things never return to how they used to be. My father had Alzheimer's and unfortunately passed away recently, but his face always lit up in joy whenever he saw the house and was always so happy when we told him that the house was his home. I contacted company and Tom came out to house. Told him some basic stuff we wanted to do to our pool. Tom. Being a professional wanted to meet my wife. Next week Tom came out and sat with us for over 5 hours going over ideas, pool, decking, outdoor kitchen. He used Chat GPT. , made videos and pictures of what the backyard looks like. We were sold. Now came the price. $155,000 . He advised it would take 8-10 weeks to complete. We gave him $1,000 to start the process. After 3 days, prior to actually signing official contract, my wife has buyers remorse. She owes very little on her house note and with less than 18 months to go to retirement, did not want to go into debt again we called Tom, he was disappointed, but understood and was very professional. My husband and I were really dreading starting this construction project after a poor experience working with different company years ago and hearing from friends that their contractors would be absent for long periods mid-project without explanation or contact. We found WTPC through a flyer and after the initial meeting we felt hopeful that this company was different. We completely gutted and remodeled our master bathroom and walk in closet and the the result exceeded our expectations. We worked with Tom, Kobi and Joseph and felt that they really listened to us every step of the way and found a way to turn our vision into reality. Along the way there some delays and snags, as with all projects, but Tom and the other project managers were in regular communication with us giving updates and finding solutions. I was impressed how collaborative the process was and when I came up with an idea they made it happen. It was helpful to work with a larger, full service company because they could provide an architect and a variety of experienced subcontractors which made the permitting and inspection process go very smoothly as well. From start to finish I was extremely satisfied with my finished Kitchen and Living Room remodel. The project finished as quoted and no additional charges were requested. Ori was the supervisor and I couldn't have asked for a better person to head my projects. Each step of the project had a schedule. Worst Experience Ever!!!! Scheduling was horrible The project took longer than promised Where were the crews? Many days only had one person on the job. When I asked, the person told me that because the crews were on other jobs and the crews were spread out to thin. HORRIBLE communication!!!!! Best example of this horrible service was this. Because we had such a great experience with WTP on our small patio job, we decided to reach out for a quote on our much larger home renovation. Again, I can not say how great they were to work with. We did whole house flooring, whole house painting, powder room renovation and new countertops in the kitchen. Also, and most amazingly, I had a vision for the fireplace wall with cabinets and shelving and they totally achieved it. The communication with this company is beyond compare. We were never left wondering what was happening. The work was high quality and every single person who came in our home was pleasant and professional. Tom is a master communicator and problem solver. There were very few issues, but of course in a job that size, there are bound to be a few things. Each time, the answer was, "We'll take care of it" and they did in a timely manner. We were worried about mold in our master bedroom after finding a wall wet to touch after a big storm. Right on time, we received a remodeling booklet in the mail with a page on mold testing for We The People Construction. So, I called the number on the booklet and scheduled a consultation for that weekend. Issac came out to Buena Park on short notice all the way from Hollywood to come look at our wall. He was able to get someone to come to test for mold the next day and rushed the results. We found out the day after that our wall did in fact have mold in it. Remediation started the same Friday after we went over pricing and the scope of work. On Sunday, Ben (the owner) came by with Issac and they spent some time at our house looking for all the possibilities of where the water damage could be coming from. They checked the roof, the windows, the foundation, etc and concluded it was a drainage and stucco issue. We went over pricing and scope of work again and signed a contract to repair the problems. Mr. HEZ ended up being our project manager for the rest of the work. He was very communicative of when they would send painters or other workers to our house, how long they would be working, if we would be needed on the property, etc. And he was very receptive to last minute changes in the schedule - one time I even sent him a message at 6am (and he answered right back!) Our experience with WTP Company was generally positive. As a family, we took a leap of faith and opened our home to make this project possible. What initially stood out was that the project began with a more personal, family oriented dynamic rather than feeling strictly transactional. As the work progressed, the process required follow up and adjustments, though the final outcome aligned with what was discussed. Owner Liron was involved in shaping the initial concept and helping establish the overall direction. We shared a general vision for the project, and while some details required clarification along the way, communication remained workable and collaboration stayed constructive. Ori oversaw the project and played a consistent role throughout its execution. He offered practical suggestions that helped refine certain aspects of the work and remained attentive to our feedback. When concerns arose or aspects of the project did not appear favorable, Ori made efforts to address them and keep the project moving forward. While delays and revisions occurred, his involvement helped guide the work toward completion. Overall, the project was completed in line with the general scope discussed and resulted in an outcome our family can live with. Highly recommend them. I worked with Miguel on creating concrete benches in my front yard. I got 4 quotes for the work and they were reasonably priced. We had a few hiccups on the project. Some me and some Miguel, but he was sooo professional and so transparent and upfront about the mistakes. You can't find that kind of professionalism in a general contractor. My benches are so cute and comfortable. Neighbors and even random people walking by comment on how cool and stylish they are. I highly recommend Miguel and his team. Our kitchen was recently renovated by WTP. The project was fairly extensive with demolition and replacement of the existing pantry, cabinets, island, peninsula, plumbing, ducting, electrical, and the majority of the appliances. The work had permits run with our city. We did run into some issues working with some of the project managers, which ultimately delayed the completion of our project. Things became much smoother once Ori came on board. He was able to see through to the completion of the project and showed genuine interest in understanding our frustrations and concerns. The company worked with us to make sure we were fully satisfied with the completion of our kitchen, which we were very happy with once completed. read more

We requested a master bathroom and kitchen remodel (with load bearing wall removal) and here is my honest review after sitting with it for over a month. Quality and Finished Product: 5 out of 5 Our house had one of those standard beige/white flip house kind of vibes prior to the renovations and we wanted darker aesthetics. Both the bathroom and kitchen once completed came out beautifully. The work was done well and the crews were sure to come fix any knick knack things that came up. I picked fixtures, tile, and countertops with darker aesthetics and sometimes this can be harder to work with because it can show certain imperfections a little clearer especially since we were going from bright white/beige tones. This didn't seem to hinder the quality of the finished product which I was happy about. Cesar who was the contractor was a big help. He always explained to me what the crews were doing each day and let me pick his brain on some design/material choices based on what he'd seen in other house throughout his years working in construction. Overall Planning Process/Communication: 3 of 5 This was the part of the process I found most frustrating. You sit with the project manager and go over your ideas for what you want and tell them your budget. They give you a general idea of what can be done within your budget but I felt like that was it. There were multiple times where we were told something could be done and would find out later from the CREWS that they either weren't told to do something or told not to do something entirely. There seemed to be a disconnect between the project manager and the contractors pretty often which would cause things to be delayed or me and my husband to have to scramble to go get certain materials. You're told what materials you need to provide at the before construction but aren't always told WHEN you need it. Overall for the amount of money we paid we just felt like we were doing a lot of leg work and wouldn't have been able to keep up with it if it wasn't for the fact that I worked from home part of the time. The communication issues added to the stress that you already have during the remodel pHowever the finished product of the work was really nice and came out as we asked. read more
