I had a very bad experience with this movers. The customer service was good at first, but after…read morethat it was very bad and they were rude. Please read this note below I was totally robbed by them becoz I took the free 1month storage:Delta Moving Company had conveyed to me that they will pick up items from my house on 12/13/2007 at 9AM. But on the day of pick up, they kept postponing the time and finally arrived on 12/15/2007 at 12.30AM midnight. The movers who came to pick up items were very ncorporative, rude and in a rush to just finish up the pick up. The dispatch manager had promised that their company movers would de-assemble and pack all the items. But the movers who came didn't do so and just packed the furniture's in a very careless way in their blankets. The dresser, TV stand, TV & DVD in the TV box, end tables with coffee table were packed by them. They were also aware that there were valuable items in the dresser. In a rush he just asked us to check the items being picked up by them and sign the bill of lading. He then filled the details on "condition at origin" column. We were not aware of this column detail as he mentioned that it is only for company reference. We realized that he has written wrong comments in this column stating "packed by owner" only after discussing with the claim agent. Since all the furniture's were damaged when they delivered our items, we opened the TV box to check the condition of the TV, right in front of the mover. The LCD TV & DVD were missing in the box and 4 blankets of the movers company were stuffed in the box.The mover admitted that it belonged to the company and informed about it to his dispatch manager.Hence we started checking if there are more items missing and found that the dresser which was completely filled was left almost empty. My wife is supposed to travel to abroad this April and hence we had done a lot of shopping. There were a lot of newly purchased cosmetics, perfumes, watches, jewelry & other valuables. The claim co that represent them are the same, they work hand in hand, so you wont get any reimburement for your loss. Please dont go for this movers and do read the bill of lading before you sign. Never get the free storage, but if you take then have a good insurance to cover the loss. I made a mistake by chossing the low insurance rate and have paid penalty.

This is based on a coast to coast move (San Jose to Brooklyn, NY). In my professional life, it was…read moremy job to work with movers constantly. This was THE worst company I have ever dealt with. EVER! At delivery, there were hidden last minute fees of another $900.00. We were told a day prior, that our balance was 3K (Approximate) by the driver of the delivery vehicle. When they arrive, I'm told we owe another 900.00. Even though we told them ahead of time (the day before) we needed a smaller truck to accommodate the limited parking space, and that there were 3 flights to the apartment, and we were told NOTHING about extra charges for this. When they arrive, they wouldn't begin unloading without the extra money, and threatened to put our possessions in storage. As we are calling The supervisor (who was just as rude as the crew chief) as for an explanation, the driver is pushing for the money immediately, or he's going to leave. I had to borrow the money from a relative on the spot. After all this, we witnessed members of the crew drinking on the job, spitting in the hallway, the crew chief telling the crew not to tell us of damage they did to our furniture, and insulting me and my wife behind our backs. I was right behind him as he was talking to his crew. He didn't like that I called him out on it, but hey, a total lack of professionalism needs to be called out. Three hours into the move, two of six crew members left the job site. At that point, the crew chief and three other crew members sat outside (on our furniture, BTW) making arrangements to have family members complete the move. During the whole delivery time, after collecting the money, the crew chief only helped bring items up only four times, and not at all once the first two crew members quit. A neighbor, seeing what was going on, offered to buy the crew water (In the hopes of getting them to get back to work). The crew chief rudely yelled back "Red Bull! We need Red Bull! My neighbor, being the sweetheart she is said "Oh kaaaay..." And got them a bunch of Red Bull cans to help me and my wife. After damaging some of our furniture by dragging it cross tile floors in the hallway, and up the stairs, they "placed" (read dumped) our boxes in the designated room with no regard to box placement, orientation (many boxes were placed down side up although clearly labelled) not to mention a total lack of regard to items marked "fragile". As we opened the boxes, we found many properly packed glass and stone items (wrapped in heavy duty bubble wrap) destroyed. Every stand-up lamp was bent. And we have yet to go through all the boxes. I shudder to tally the losses. In and Out Movers (Our original contacted mover in San Jose) subcontracts the pickup, the long haul, and the delivery to other companies. The pickup was handled by KLM, the long haul and delivery by an agent of Allied Van Lines, "Nice Moving And Storage", based out of Brighton Beach in Brooklyn. We had a decent decent pickup crew in San Jose. After that, the move devolved into a sloppy, rude extortioner's, sewer of a mess. I urge anyone contemplating a move with these folks to SERIOUSLY contemplate an alternative.

We used Impress the end of last year to move from CT to NC. Great moving crew…read more There was theft, over a third of our boxes never made it to our new home. My husband and I checked and rechecked, this caused a lot of tension between us. We have boxes missing from our kitchen, dining room, bedroom, basement, office (that had my writings and our workshop art studio area. Small personal items that I have had all my life are gone. I was in contact with Natalie from Impress and she was rude and condescending by asking questions about me being sure that I unpacked everything. REALLY???? She didn't even get the dates correct and send a claim form (which turned out to be for damaged not stolen). Being born and bred in NYC, I was happy to find a mover from there. We got screwed. DEEPLY DEEPLY disappointed.

If I could give zero stars I would!!! What a useless company! They damaged my stuff in transit,…read morelost two of my boxes and the person who delivered my items was rude and abusive and on top of that the claims department have the audacity to tell me that after they broke my stuff, that it was recorded as scratched!! Aki am not sure whether imbeciles work in that company but scratched and broken am have two different definitions. They lost my boxes and say the max value is $50-75 like wth??!! Even if the boxes were full of plates only, we know that they are not valued at $75 max!!! Like come on! They lost valuable shoes (all my dress shoes for work), my expensive sneakers from APL (one pair is $165-250) and they lost all my boots. And then start to tell me that people are claiming for diamonds in their luggage. First of all who would trust a moving company with diamonds. Also the fact that they came with a trailer and I was the last delivery. They were late by a week with zero communication and start comparing how a chef cooks and doesn't share ingredients. I'm not sure what restaurants they go to but the ingredients are always shared so that one persons is not getting poisoned by ingesting food they may or may not be allergic to. Also a carpenter tells you what materials they are using. This analogy was such a fail. Not sure who was advising this company. They want to pay me a total of $225 after losing and damaging my stuff well over $5000. They never communicated what kind of vehicle was being used for the delivery and then have the audacity to blame me saying that they don't have to say and I never communicated if my apartment would have access. I don't know if I am meant to be a mind reader to know what they are using to tell them if there will be access or not. Worst company ever!!!!! I can never ever recommend!!!
