Everything bagel with Scallion cream cheese and bacon
    Lauren Y.

I'm going to preface this by saying I'm not from New York but this was such a cute spot with delicious bagels located near the Vermont Blvd / Jackson Ave subway station. There's a parking lot, ample seating, and a restroom. There were about 20 cream cheese flavors to choose from and I settled on the everything bagel with scallion and bacon cream cheese. I adored how light and fluffy the interior of the bagel was and how the outside was crusty and warm. They gave a generous schemar of cream cheese.

Pretty decent bagel spot with friendly service! There is parking so you can also pick up before hitting the road. The bagel itself was amazing!! It was toasted but at the same time.. it was so fluffy?! I was utterly impressed by the freshness of the bagels itself. We got the scallion cream cheese, it's my go-to, and it was good, however I do prefer a bit more scallion in my filling. It's a great spot to sit down and enjoy your breakfast. I would like to try other things in their menu for sure.

Best bagels ever!! Customer service, ambience, and bagels on point. Plenty of indoor seating! I just got a simple bagel and cream cheese and it was amazing!! Will definitely be coming back

Overpriced!!!!! The amount I had spent it's ridiculous overall. What's more crazy on how much they charge for small tiny tube of cream cheese. The only thing that was good was the Tuna Melt Sandwich. Still overpriced! Also it be great if they can be generous with the cheese!! Supposedly they make fresh variety of juices ... I asked for fresh OJ and he told me they already have some in the corner inside the fridge ... didn't look like it was juiced! Had a long day decided to just get it. Wasn't even squeezed orange juice and they make their job easier by getting those gallon of orange juice selling them in plastic cups like it is a squeezed OJ. I was very disappointed.

Essentially, $12 for a breakfast sandwich with iced coffee that is not that special. Looks great on the outside with a parking lot, outdoor and indoor seating options. If anything, it looks like it has been recently renovated to match industry standard. However, the food and business concept is not. For one, the billboard menu above display does not have prices. R&D can be done for sure. (Check out top bagels shops in Queens like Utopia Bagel and Bagel Oasis. "If your competitors are doing it, that means something right is happening.") Now back to the sandwich, it is for sure overpriced for the quality and quantity of ingredients found in the sandwich. For a bacon and egg sandwich with iced coffee, I would not pay more than $7 for this quality. Overall, not a very exciting bagel shop. On the upside, this place was for sure clean, and the cashier was friendly and professional.

A crew member told me about this place in Queens that had great bagels, so I had to go try it because who doesn't love a New York bagel. The store was clean and the staff was nice. I just ordered an everything bagel toasted with plain cream cheese. They were quick to prepare it and get it to me. The bagel is a good size one, with a good amount of seasoning on the top. The bagel had a good crust and a chewy interior and it had a good amount of cream cheese. If I had to be nit picky, the cream cheese could have been put on more uniformly so every bite had cream cheese in it. Overall for $4.50 it wasn't a bad deal and I would go back.

Been here a few times and never disappoints! I've had the bagels, muffins, pancakes and today I decided to get the bacon, egg, cheese and home fries burrito. Burrito was a 10 for sure. They only have hot sauce and no salsa BUT this burrito was so good it needed nothing else. Great seasoning, decent size and very good. Fresh squeezed OJ could've been better for $8 bucks. Overall this place is worth the visit if nearby.

Bagel & lox...except they forgot the lox. Shredded lettuce is lackluster, mushy tomatoes.

Spent $15 on a bagel & lox...only for them to forget the lox. Now they're closed, go figure! Disappointing first (& last) experience. Also appears to be scooped when I never requested so. Shredded lettuce is lackluster, mushy tomatoes. Depressing sandwich.

I ordered the Worth It Bagel ($16.75), which is their lox bagel with all the works although I skipped the capers on mine. My bagel was ready within minutes and I was on my way. The bagel is hefty and was enough for two meals. They also spread a good amount of cream cheese from both sides sandwiching the lox, onions and tomatoes. This is a delicious bagel amongst so many bagel spots in NYC. It's too bad their locations are not the most convenient for me, but definitely would recommend if you're in the area.

They gave a generous serving of the lox, and it went well with the cream cheese and everything bagel. The bagel was a bit too crispy in my opinion, but the overall bagel sandwich was quite good as all the ingredients went well with each other. Compared to the top bagels in the city, Utopia is a bit lacking, but still very solid. There's very few bagel spots in LIC, so this is a great addition to the area. Overall, I would recommend this place if you live in LIC and want bagels but don't want to travel into Manhattan.

They have stood the test (or taste) of time because of their delicious, freshly baked bagels. They have the perfect combination of a soft chewy texture on the inside and a wonderful crisp crust on the outside. There's so many options when it comes to what type of bagel to order, it's hard to decide because they're all so good. There is also a large variety cream cheeses, which are all made on the premises. You can't go wrong with the lox bagel - plentiful, flavorful lox, cream cheese and capers. I love their chicken salad. It's always so fresh, tasty and it doesn't have too much mayonnaise. The staff is friendly and attentive. The coffee is good and it's a perfect way to start your day!

They've done such an outstanding job across the board (customer service, price, food, etc.) that I am constantly thinking about going back. Located on the constantly busy (#2) 30th Ave, one wouldn't notice this place as being any different from any other bagel shop. There's hardly any seating but a steady stream of customers all throughout the day. The NSFW signage (#3) keeps the place fresh and interesting, if not extremely memorable. The first thing that is offered (and often complimentary) is their fried rice balls, dubbed "Ben's Balls" that are mixed with seasoned rice, kimchi, topped with a gochujang mayo that would wake up any sleepyhead. Each bite had a nice crunch, but the lingering effect of the kimchi makes it addicting. It is the ultimate complementary snack, a desired, potluck item, and frankly genius. This is not something I would ever consider getting out a bagel shop, but having had them I would gladly buy them by the dozens. Most folks are here for the Seoul Meets Bagel (SMB) and rightfully so: it's layered with chopped bulgogi meat, cheese, egg, kimchi, topped with gochujang mayo and is packed with flavor. While the dank ass pork sandwich is a crude name, but it's not hard to see why it's one of their best sellers. Their regular bagels are also excellent. Folks who are expecting a large variety of cream cheese may find it disappointing that there's only a handful in the display, but they do have lox, bacon scallion, tofu cream cheese, and some flavored cream cheese. For what it's worth, my toasted everything bagel with lox was fabulous. It was pillowy soft, nicely toasted, and extremely filling. Offering Korean savory bagels wouldn't be complete without actual Korean fare, which is also a part of their larger than expected menu. It includes items such as Korean fried chicken, kimbap, pajeon (various), bibimbap, kalbi, ramyum, and mandoo. This is in addition to the burgers, breakfast platters and sandwiches, and a number of pastries. The staff is mostly Spanish and English speaking, in addition to the owner Ben who brings Korean to the table. Prices are very reasonable for Astoria and I'm hoping they continue to stay that way. This spot is the ultimate neighborhood spot and I'm insanely jealous of all the residents in the area that get to enjoy this on the regular. ___________ (#1) Why mess with something that doesn't need changing? Oh, because palate + innovation. (#2) And incredibly gentrified. (#3) One sign reads: "My happy place is when I tell people to .... FU, KMA, MF, STFU, SOB, SMD." Oh how New York.
