Heard good things about WD Cravings and had recently watched the Guy Fieri Diners, Drive Ins and Dives episode that featured the restaurant recently, so my wife and I decided to give it a try for dinner. When we got there they hadn't opened yet and there was a pretty good crowd already forming, waiting for them to open... Some might consider this a good thing. Lol One inside we were a bit disappointed, the ambiance was more like a fast food restaurant then a traditional sit down dinner establishment. We discovered that you had to place your order at the front and pay then get a pager to let you know when your order was ready. The restaurant did a fairly decent amount of to go take out orders, so the wait for our food was pretty long, around 30 minutes. We both ordered the cheese wheel pasta, a specialty in which the pasta is cooked and then tossed in an actual cheese wheel to get a nice, thick coating of cheese on it. I added a chicken parm and Ins to my order and my wife got just the pasta with mushrooms. When we got the page, the food was fresh and hot, made to order and the cheese sauce was fantastic. It came with a piece of Texas style toast, which would have been better if it had garlic butter on it, but it was ok, toasted nicely. We had to get our own silverware and napkins, most of the orders were served in to go take out boxes, except mine since it had a decent sized piece of chicken and sauce on it, it came on an actual plate. The food was excellent, definitely well made and high quality, tasted great and was a good amount, but the price point for the food and the fact that you had to bus your own table, get your own order like a take out place, and wait as long as we did for it, we didn't feel that it was the best value. We enjoyed the food, but we would advise to place a take out as opposed to sitting down to eat there, and we would recommend the pasta, even the cheese wheel, but the add ons did not seem to be worth the extra charge, in our opinion. Chicken did not come with the pesto dish it costs extra, which to me if I only ordered the pasta I would've been disappointed. Definitely need the chicken with the meal... I would be interested in trying their breakfast menu sometime!! Although, the desserts were very average, bland tasting, and expensive for that result. Restaurant was very clean and staff were very friendly! I am not sure if their AC broke... but it was tough eating hot food in a hot restaurant. I hope they get that fixed soon!!! I've been wanting to come here since they open three years ago, and finally made it in! This was very much worth the wait!! Me and my friend both ordered pasta from the cheese wheel. It didn't take long at all to cook, came out with a delicious flavor, and a great texture from scraping the cheese into the dish! The staff was also super friendly, and complimented us as we walked in. When I came to this place three years ago, I sat in line in standstill traffic in the parking lot for two hours before getting up. This time, I came in, and there was no line at all. There were a few people sitting in some of their tables, it's not a big place, but in my opinion, it should be packed! The food was delicious, and a great price for the high-quality they serve!! My friend really wanted to take a daytime to Omaha, so we did. We stopped here for lunch before doing our shopping. It was very cold and windy out so it was cold in the restaurant. We ordered at the counter and then picked a space to sit. It was a little busy so it took a while to get our food as it isn't mass produced, but made to order. The pasta in my dish was one I'd never seen, so that was fun. I gave it 3 stars because the flavor of the pasta dish was good, but it wasn't drained well so I had a lot of watery sauce at the bottom of my bowl. I also had to order an extra side of focaccia bread because it is so soft with the perfect amount of crunch and buttery taste, and I wish I had more the last time I ordered, so I made sure I was secured this time!! The short rib tacos are out of this world!! I am usually not a red pickled fan but it tastes perfectly with the short rib and radish, and I am definitely a fan now!! Their crispy homemade potatoes with the chipotle mayo is the perfect comfort side dish, I would just order these alone all the time!! They also have the option to order online and you can pick it up inside or in the drive thru however, I am very glad I went inside to pick up my order inside because I saw the last 2 of their cannolis and I was sold!! They are so worth it and pairs so well with the chocolate strawberry latte that literally tasted like a chocolate covered strawberry and was the perfect dessert drink with my cannolis!! I also ordered a fancy butterscotch latte with the crème brûlée topping and it was sooo good and it is something so unique that they offer and I am so happy that I was able to try it!! They have a few parking spots in front or they do have a drive thru like mentioned above. The service was also so friendly and the gal helped me get an extra bag so I didn't have so much to carry! I really thought this place was going to be good! The service was excellent and the people were so nice but the food wasn't it. Not sure if it was just a bad batch or what but the brisket was disgusting. We got the brisket bowl and my husband was starving so he ate some but said it was terrible, I tried it and couldn't believe he had more than one bite. I got the cheese wheel pasta with the fried chicken, the fried chicken was the saving grace. The rest was so bland. Came with a garlic bread, the bread taste like old sour milk. The lady brought us sugar donuts I'm assuming, we didn't order them so it was a sweet though but then when we took a bite, the inside was undercooked. One of the best chicken parms I've ever had.. but I would only order this again in person and not delivery. The prices on delivery apps are crazy inflated here compared to the Normal price. It was like $40+ just for the one dish. Just really wanted to try it and I wasn't disappointed with the food just the up charge pricing on Grubhub ruined it for me a bit. I also tried the banana bread and I absolutely love banana bread so I was excited to try it but sadly this was probably the worst one I've ever had. I hated the combination of the chocolate with it, it was much too rich and the bread itself wasn't very special. I ended up not eating it at all. I've heard good things about the sweets so I'll maybe try something else next time I decide to give it a try but the banana bread was a huge miss for me. Overall though the pasta and chicken were delicious and if they fixed the pricing for delivery I would probably order from them regularly. This place has EVERYTHING I want. Ordering/paying is fast and easy. The food is incredible and so fresh. They have a variety of dishes from breakfast to lunch/dinner. They make their pasta in house and many of their pasta dishes are finished in the giant cheese wheel! I had the Bianca parmigiana on this visit and the pasta sauce/cheesiness was beyond perfection! They also have a drive thru window! AND amazing looking desserts too. I like that it's high quality food but not stuffy overly fancy decor, your food comes on an orange tray and you can sit anywhere. I saw an episode of Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives and had to visit this restaurant! The Cheese Wheel with Chicken Parm caught my eye, and I needed to try it. It did not disappoint! The restaurant is small and does have a drive-through for ordering and pick ups. Grab a menu, choose your seat and look it over. Once you decide, head up to the counter and order your food. They may give you a buzzer to alert you when your plates are ready to pick up at the counter. we also asked if we could take some pictures as it was our first visit and we wanted to see the cheese wheel in action! Everyone loved their food. My husband and my son have a larger appetite so they have decided that they will do double rice and double protein when ordering the rice bowls next time. Since it was our first visit, they didn't realize there were other items they could've added to their bowls. Like take-in-food? They talk to you, you can see YOUR food in order. There is shuffle but passion. It's fun to see them hustle...but never lose their cool. Elephant in the room...they were on DDD. My luck with Man V Food or DDD owners...you never see them after the show. I mean not that it should affect the food; just weird to me that you believe in your staff but only show up for the cameras...HOWEVER, not here. They're cooking. They're building. Casually communicating to keep the symphony of teamwork and food in sync...but not so overwhelmed they can't engage and relate, as you wait. Just felt cool. Made it look easy. Oh my goodness, where to start? The s'more latte was sweet, caffeinated, had roasted mini marshmallows, and came iced (my fav!). I had the breakfast brisket bowl (subbing tips for brisket), and it was delicious. The potatoes were crisp and a lil salted, the sauce was light but enough, the egg was perfectly over easy, and the meat melted in my mouth. My lunch date had an egg and potato burrito with fried chicken, it was one of the top two best breakfast burritos I've ever had (and I've had them from the East coast to Arizona!). The flavors here worked so well together in both dishes! The bathroom was clean and had paper towels (which I need after a slightly messy burrito!), and the cushions on the chairs invited you to linger while you ate and chatted. I was in the area for something else when I discovered this place. For some reason I was expecting a bigger space, but the casual ambiance worked well. As soon as you walk in the door, you are at the ordering counter. There's a glass case to the right with some delicious looking pastries which I didn't try, but wanted to. The plastic-covered menu is right there, making it easy to choose your food. I ordered a potato and egg burrito with a caramel muffin as recommended by the counter worker. I was given a pager which buzzed when my order was ready. There's room for maybe 15 diners inside, but while I was there, the drive thru was quite busy. All the tables are small, and to accommodate more than four people, tables would need to be pushed together along the wall where there is bench seating. The benches are covered in a loose orange pad which bunches up. Now to the food. I loved my burrito! The potato chunks were fried with the brown crispness that's so tasty. The eggs were fluffy and the onion was perfect. The muffin was also outstanding with a moist, buttery interior and caramel drizzle on the top. The coffee was average, but I was all in with the food. I would come here all the time if it was close to where I live. Alas, it is not. But then again, maybe that's a good thing! read more

It says on the menu that 90% of their pasta/pastries are homemade-it was all cooked to perfection with the Al dente noodles and delicious sauces- my favorite two were the beef bolognese and pesto pasta. If you're a pasta fan, this is the right place! There was so much "yes!" to this stop for us. It was a must to experience something from the cheese wheel and that lived up to the hype! We search for DDD spots and for Yelp-recommended locations when on a trip and this called to us. The small location was clean, cozy and inviting. The menu is slightly confusing for a first-timer as we weren't clear about how the cheese wheel special works, but the staff are super friendly and helpful about their menu. Wifey went for the Cheese Wheel Special with chicken and Mushroom. That spaghetti in the cheese was pure awesomeness. I loved the beef bolognese with the mafalda noodles. It was my first time with that style of pasta and I was an immediate fan. Both dishes were quite salty, so you may want to plan for that. The toasted focaccia on the side was perfect to scoop up the last of the sauce! We grabbed a large coconut Italian soda which was a great note along side the dishes. Readily available water in the dining room was also nice. For the finale, we had a piece of Orange Almond cake. It was light and refreshing - not too sweet, but great flavor! The only negative I would say is that for the price you don't get a lot of food. My son ordered the pancakes. Those were not good at all, would recommend to avoid getting those. The chinga tinga burrito was good. They have some nice looking pastries but we didn't try them since we were full. The service was great, they were very nice. The place is cute, it is a small cafe type - you order at the front and get your food to dine in or go. Stopped in for dinner, which I guess is not their strong suit. The awning out front only mentions breakfast, brunch, coffee, pastries. This is a quirky local spot. Not a lot of tables, and quite a bit of seating is at a big communal table. With an open kitchen, pastry display, and a drive through window, it feels more like a bakery or coffee shop than a restaurant. Order at the counter and seat yourself. Soda is in cans, no beer/wine/liquor, and help yourself to water in plastic cups. You get a buzzer for your food even though it's not a large space. Pick up your food at the counter. Plastic plates on a plastic tray. Grab your own plastic silverware and napkins. You get to bus your own table as well. So no service at all, but you still get prompted to leave a tip which is always annoying. Prices are on the expensive side. $18 for the cheese wheel pasta or the chicken parm. The chicken on my chicken parm was okay, maybe a little overcooked. The pasta and sauce were great though. The cheese wheel pasta was good as well. So as a dinner spot, WD Cravings feels like a contradiction. Good food, but no service, and poor ambiance. Certainly not a date night spot, but maybe okay for some quality (and kinda pricey) takeout.
