This Wayback Burger location is located across the street from the Belden Village Mall. It is located in the same plaza as Nothing Bundt Cakes and Wingstop. Upon entering, there is a kiosk to your left for quick "line free" ordering or you can choose to head to the front where a friendly cashier will assist you. All of the burgers and sandwiches are priced separately. For example, the Cheesy Burger is $8.49, but you can variations of combo add ons like tator tots and a drink (add $6.99) to make it a meal deal. The Cheesy Burger was unique with four slices of cheese and an inverted bun (bun flipped outsides in). I added the tator tots and regular drink for $6.99. The tator tots come with a choice of sauce. I highly recommend the chipotle mayo for dipping, but may be too overpowering on a burger. The downside to the Cheesy Burger was the grease dripping down your hand as you're trying to eat it. However, it all adds to the awesome experience. The drink area was your typical Coca Cola options with a side drink area of various lemonades. I tried the Strawberry Hibiscus Lemonade which was tart and delicious. As far as overall experience, order food at the kiosk or the counter and have a seat. The food and shakes will be brought out to you. The signage advertises hand scooped shakes. The staff is friendly and always smiling (atleast during our visit). The atmosphere is great for a friends hang out, quick lunch, or casual date. read more

The food itself was fine, the burgers are very small so be prepared for that considering the price. Toppings were a bit sparse. Overall the food was fine but a bit expensive for the portions (40.00+) since fries and drinks are addons. Service was ok at best, didn't make any attempt to recommend anything or suggest something for first time diners. Just stood there until we ordered something. This place was dead, so you'd think it would be spotless. Our table was dirty with crumbs and ketchup smeared on the empty napkin holder. There was trash on the floor and dishes stacked above the garbage ( we were the ONLY diners the entire and after when we walked over to NBC ). Overall the place was pretty dirty considering there was no business. Would I be back, the prices didn't match the portions and they place was dead and dirty. This used to be SMOKE and I miss it. This place is great! The food was really good. We got two Rodeo Burgers, fried pickles, and fries. Food was fresh and hot. The staff seems a little grumpy, but everyone has a bad day now and then (and the gloomy weather probably isn't helping). The restaurant is cold but nice and clean. Feels relaxed without crazy loud music. We will be trying this place again for sure! read more

The burger was very good. I thought the cheese could have been melted more but once I took a bike I was very pleased. The fries were good with the right among of salt for my tastes. That's important as I feel fries are often too salty. Seems like a family business, probably their first business. They read the manual but are not experienced in providing customer service. Great burger! I had just eaten, but got my dad a "build your own" and some onion rings. He couldn't say enough good things about tit.....It was also free milkshake day! My son and I each had one. Yum yum. Likhita was the name of the friendly guy working the counter (I think!?) EXPENSIVE!!! It cost us $40.27 for Double bacon combo, fries, and choc shake, Big Easy combo with onion rings and a soda. My hamburger was moist and the bun was soft, but not nearly enough sauce. It was good, but it would have been better if I could have tasted the sauce. I would also like to see their menu with a description of what is actually on the sandwiches. This place understands what a lot of restaurants that serve burgers do not; I would much rather wait a little bit for good, fresh, HOT food than get garbage food faster. The double bacon burger was really good - melted cheese, crisp bacon, lots of fixings, and two patties that weren't too big. The fries were ok, I wish they would've been more like fair fries or Penn Station, but they were edible. Sadly, I didn't have any room for a milkshake but perhaps next time. Created my own western style burger with bbq, added charge bacon, grilled onions, and pepperjack with a "full" size order of Cajun Tots. After some bad customer service that seemed like they weren't even listening to me, alongside plenty of mistakes. I finally sat down. The atmosphere of the place is pretty nice, mostly why it gets one star. The burger was small with little sauce and the bacon I paid extra for was barely there. Tasted like a Freddy's or Wendy's burger but $9. The tots had good seasoning but the portion seemed like what I would expect the regular size to be. Can't imagine a smaller portion than that, especially for almost $6. My friend got their standard fries and they were flavorless and soft, DONT BUY THEM!! He also got a chocolate milkshake that tasted like a frosty but for MARGINALLY more money. Will not be returning any time soon. Wish I could get a refund for that nearly $20 meal. read more

It took 45 minutes for me to get my order. I went on a Friday but it wasn't that busy. Only like 8-15 people were there. I understand taking longer to make better quality food but the burger and fries were very average. milkshake was not good and not worth the price. First experience with Wayback. The girl that took our order was very helpful explaining the menu. Got a double burger and a bacon double one with fries one with tots. Burgers were fresh and very good. I wasn't expecting a lot from the fries as they looked like a frozen fry in the pics, but they were fried and seasoned perfectly. Very impressed. They brought our food out and came around to check on everything. Clean environment including the condiment and drink stand. Would like to try the chicken strips next time. read more
