Ribeye with sautéed onions and garlic butter
    Rena S.

Wow! What an experience. This place is a bit of a divey spot but don't let that fool you - they know exactly what they're doing when it comes to food. The interior is clean and the servers are very friendly and professional. My husband and I did a 2-for special. He got a 12oz ribeye with garlic butter and sautéed onions, I had a 10oz sirloin with garlic butter and onions, we both had large bowls of Mac and cheese, side salads, rolls with honey cinnamon butter, and a half order of crab Rangoons, with two sodas for $52. Such a good deal. Both steaks were perfectly seasoned and cooked to order. The staff were very knowledgeable about the different cuts of meat. Before we left, we were already talking about when we'd come back and who we'd bring with us. I had plenty of leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Great spot!

I met a friend here for an early dinner and we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and helpful when we asked her what her favorite burger was. I ended up getting the Southern Fizzle Burger and then upgraded the fries to the Mexican Street Fries. The burger was huge and I tried to eat like I normally would, but after about 3 bites, I realized that it was going to be a knife and fork situation. The egg on the burger caused the bottom bun to get a little soggy and made it too difficult to hold, but I'm not complaining about that. The burger was delicious and there were a lot of flavors going on there. The Mexican street fries were also fantastic and once again, after a few fries, I had to turn to using the fork instead of my fingers. Our server was attentive and kept our drinks refilled. The place has the feel of a mom and pop diner. It was too cold to sit on the patio, but that looked like it would be a nice option in the summer. I would gladly come back here and try some of the other burgers and I definitely want to try the flight of fries sometime.

We didn't want those but they brought them anyway. Those who tried the sides said they were ok but no one ordered more. Crab was good but they only bring 1 big bowl which was only about 2 clusters per person for the table and we had to keep asking for more. The bar was slow too. The waitress only brought us one drink at a time instead of bringing us all drinks at the same time. The restaurant was not full. Decor was very nice and plenty of parking and seating. They need to work on the service though.

Great steak - perfectly cooked. Blackened added a zing. Some great butter and other topping choices. Our table got four filets and not one complaint!! Another home-run was the candied bacon - 4 strips of super thick bacon, candied with brown sugar and a little bit of heat. I wanted more. The free bread service - yum! they even brought out extras Sides- baked potato was underwhelming, the creamy Parmesan risotto was a sticky/ gummy mess. Fire roasted corn had a good flavor. The crème brûlée and the peanut butter pie rounded out the meal nicely. Service and atmosphere were spot on! I would recommend any thing "meat -centric" here.

For a LONG time, I had been wanting to come here. Mostly because of the aesthetic and the history…read moreof this historic home in the Massillon community. I had never really heard much about the food, but I found it to be pretty delicious. It's not a cheap dinner by any stretch and this is more of a special-occasion type of venue. It was my birthday and though I don't really like to celebrate (or admit to) my birthday anymore, it was a nice place to try. My family, party of six, was seated in a room upstairs by ourselves. Cool little private dining alcove, painted with dark walls and sexy, almost what I would consider Halloweenesque, decor. Yessss, now they are singing my SONG. Service was good. Don't expect to get bread or any added extras with your meal. Pretty straightforward. We did try a couple of their specialty cocktails. The "Black Moon Rising" cocktail was a fun novelty, served in a skull-shaped mug, but it was a little sweet for my taste. The "Fashionably Late" was solid (similar to an old fashioned). Many things on the menu did seem to have a degree of spiciness, and it is not really a place that children would find something that they love. My son had the portobello mushrooms, which were okayyyyy, but very garlicky and peppery for a five year old's taste. I had the lemon shrimp and rice, which was just delicious. I loved it. My son liked that too and I think he probably would have enjoyed another order of that more than what he ordered. The French onion soup was hearty and good. Someone else in our party had the steak, which I tasted (yum) and the mahi mahi, which I did not get to taste, so it MUST have been good. Slice of HUGE birthday cake for dessert. Pro tip: don't order coffee with dessert. The coffee is weak and not good for $4.50 a cup. Anyhow, overall, I think it was a good dining experience, although I might make some different choices next time. Oh, and it IS allegedly haunted, but the hostess, nor the server know the details of the stories. Something about a dentist and a murder and another story about a little girl. My curiousity is piqued. Maybe a year or two ago I had reached out via email about hosting an event here for my tour company and I think my clientele would enjoy the stories and the history behind it all! Itching for more.....

There is a top area that has some tables along the walls but I would describe it mostly as the "bar area" then there is a downstairs area with table seating. We preferred to sit in the downstairs area both times we were there. There are keno TVs for us to play our keno and it's not too noisy when it's busy. Our server the first time (I believe his name was Coby) was just a delight. I was debating on trying the chili cheese dog and he brought back a small sample of the chili for me to try before ordering and he was very sweet and enjoyable for the whole experience. Our server the second time, an older gentlemen, was less enjoyable but maybe he was having a bad day because he was a little busy. We loved playing our keno here and have had really good luck here. We agreed it was our new keno spot. Food: The first time dining, I tried the coney dog with cheese. The dog and the chili themselves were delicious. There was jus FAR too much bread. My partner got the philly cheesesteak and said that was the same case for her. We both had to pull off most of the bread. But the flavor was there on both dishes. A slightly smaller hoagie bun (or even steaming the buns to order) would really help these two dishes. The second time dining, I decided I was going to get the coney dog again but ask for a regular bun. I very much had a "3 bears" moment. The small bun got too soggy with the chili. SO, next time, I am going to get the half pound falconey with a regular bun AND light chili. That should be just right. LOL. My partner had the side salad this time and fired, She loved the fries just like last time and said the salad was basic but good. No sad lettuce or gross vegetables. I also had their chilled bottles of rootbeer both times with a shot of whiskey. Refreshing and delicious. We want to come in on a Sunday to try out the steak special.
