This is the second restaurant that I have visited since the lock down last year and I was abit skeptical but I can assure you it was very safe and comfortable. I was in company of my mother, grandmother, older uncle and two children. We were seated immediately in the corner. There was one other table that was occupied on the same side and only had two people seated. After they left, we had the entire section to ourselves. The waitress, Skylar was great. She took our order fairly quickly. Everything came out as ordered and nothing was sent back. All staff wore masks. I ordered an omelet with ham, american and feta cheese and spinach and a piece of French toast. I would recommend this restaurant! read more

We had a good experience as a family Monday November 15,2021. Wanda was our server and she was very nice. The food was delicious. I had the Everything Omelet and a Belgium waffle. I wish there was a meal that combined the two as opposed to having to order and pay for them separately. However, I was very satisfied. The only draw back was my Mom and Aunt had to send their eggs back because the American cheese slice placed on top of their eggs wouldn't melt. We could hear the cook being very angry and argumentive to our server. He was unprofessional, loud, and way too mad about replacing eggs. He also gave no care as to whether we heard him or not. I have found a couple of meals already that have kept me coming back for more--including the Country Fried Stake and also their Chicken Noodle Soup, which is the best I've had anywhere. After a few morning errands, aquick Google search of 'breakfast near me' led us to this diner. Food was better than your average diner, and prices were extremely reasonable. The omelette was a tad overcooked but still pretty good. Everything else was great. Fast and friendly service. 2 downsides... First, the young man bussing the tables had his pants sagging. Underneath his buttocks. It was disconcerting to say the least, especially while eating. Second, after watching the same person bus a few tables and put new paper placemats down WITHOUT wiping the table down, I inspected my own table a little more thoroughly to find that my own placemat was stuck to the table with syrup. I give this 4 stars. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid back. They have the yummiest fried fish. Desserts are great. Not all the dishes are 4 * but at least half are and the manager and staff make this an inviting place to eat. read more

Pancakes - large and fluffy... but dry and tasteless Denver Omelet - thick skab of velveta like cheese product snd tiny thin sliced deli ham bits. Biscuit - dense doughy mass Hash Browns - brown but not crisp and mushy... the poor ketchup was more like a dessert sauce... waaay too sweet... the ingredients included both HFCS and corn syrup. Ingress & Egress could be better from Cuyahoga Falls Avenue- be careful making an illegal turn! The parking lot is always full, but don't let that fool you. We have always been seated right away when the lot is full. Each time we have gone, they place was packed, but it never felt rushed, dirty or loud. Interior is nicer than I thought! In my family, we like to split meals. My son & I split the bagel sandwich with ham & cheese. It isn't amazing, but worth $5.25! I eat half, plus a few of their hash browns, and I am full. We have only been here for breakfast so I am curious how the place delivers for lunch or dinner. FYI- the goodies in the pastry case are tempting. Me and my fiancé were looking for breakfast and stumbled upon this restaurant and just decided to order pickup and head home. We had to order in the restaurant and had a quick wait time of 15 minutes. They weren't kidding because at the 15 minute mark we were being greeted by an employee who walked our food to our vehicle and wished us a blessed day! Stopped by for dinner recently, and was actually really impressed. I've known this restaurant was there for a while, but never really had an opportunity to stop in. My wife and I were looking for diner food, but it seems most of those are closed on a Saturday evening, so we figured we'd take a chance. I have a few staples I'll order when I go to a restaurant for the first time if they are on the menu, so I went with a Patty Melt. I figure if a place can't make a Patty Melt properly, it's really not worth going back. This was a good example of one done right! Griddled rye bread, buttery, cheesy, nice cook on the meat, softly sautéed onions, and a pile of hot, crispy, crunchy fries. My wife had the grilled, marinated chicken dinner with fries and a cup of homemade chicken noodle soup. She said she could really taste the fact that the chicken was marinated, and she really enjoyed it. She said the soup was pretty good too, maybe a touch salty, but not overpowering. I think one of the best things of all though, was we had our son with us, and his meal was free! He had a humongous Mickey Mouse pancake with sausage links. It was very cute, and the piece I tried was pretty good! Nice, fluffy, soft, and did I mention huge, and the best part, free! We ogled the dessert display, but didn't end up getting anything. There was a time that Restaurant Managers greeted you at the door. They would lead you to your table, inquiring about your preference for seating and take you to your perfect spot. They would also adjust the blinds, making sure the sun was not in your eyes. I thought these days were gone. But to my delight, during my first visit to Farmer Boy, the Manager did all of these things. This restaurant is quiet, spacious and very friendly inside. I caught some folks reading an actual newspaper and not their phones. What a marvel! The atmosphere is perfect here. Now for the food report: The omelet was well done with very little cheese. The hash browns were perfectly cooked. This is no easy feat! Bob Evans needs to take a few lessons from the cook here! During my next visit, I will get something from the lunch menu. He ordered the Gyro from the lunch menu and said it was an A plus meal. The dinner menu also looks fantastic. The dessert case, boasted a Banana Creme cheesecake, something I must try when I am not getting a meal. It looks like a meal in itself. She stayed with us very attentively, refilling drinks and taking away unneeded items. Great service, and with a pleasant attitude! I had the ham and cheese omelette plus they added mushrooms for me (I'm part Hobbit), the wife had the bagel breakfast sandwich, plus eggs and bacon for the little guy. Great local family restaurant. We just moved to the area and have been there a handful of times. The breakfast is cheap and delicious. We have also tried the fish fry which is the best around...the fish actually appears to be hand battered and not frozen. Ordered an appetizer and burger from my waitress and after she disappeared someone else brought me my burger. I asked her if my app was coming and she informed me that my original waitress didn't put it in. Not sure why a waitress would disappear for 15 minutes while serving a table and not putting their entire order in. On a busy all-you-can-eat fish night, we decided to try this place. The parking lot was full and inside people were sitting , waiting to be seated, I assume. That was the last we saw of her until after trying to get ANY employee's attention. After about ten minutes of waiting (and I had already finished what I could eat of my fish and chips) I got up and went looking for someone to find my waitress to bring my salad, the person who turned around WAS our waitress I told her what I had been waiting for and she said she would be over with them. There was a 40 min wait from when we got our drink till we got our food. The shrimp was ice cold (not cocktail) the salmon appeared to be boiled? The salad had the hard cores from the lettuce in it. The omelet was cold and flavorless the hot chocolate was watered down and the coffee was just horrible. The 1 star rating was because the water was refreshing.
