Was exited to try the all you can eat crab. 3 of the 5 of us ordered it and it's family style so it came with small bowls of jambalaya, Mac n cheese, calamari and onion rings. We didn't want those but they brought them anyway. Those who tried the sides said they were ok but no one ordered more. Crab was good but they only bring 1 big bowl which was only about 2 clusters per person for the table and we had to keep asking for more. The bar was slow too. The waitress only brought us one drink at a time instead of bringing us all drinks at the same time. The restaurant was not full. Decor was very nice and plenty of parking and seating. Great steak - perfectly cooked. Blackened added a zing. Some great butter and other topping choices. Our table got four filets and not one complaint!! Another home-run was the candied bacon - 4 strips of super thick bacon, candied with brown sugar and a little bit of heat. I wanted more. The free bread service - yum! they even brought out extras Sides- baked potato was underwhelming, the creamy Parmesan risotto was a sticky/ gummy mess. Fire roasted corn had a good flavor. Our family had a great experience here. My wife and I brought our three kids and the night felt easy from the moment we walked in. No reservation was needed and we were seated right away. Mandy was our waitress and she was excellent. She kept things moving, checked in at the right times and handled our table like a pro. They treated the kids well. Each one got a coloring packet with crayons, stickers and a small coloring book, plus a light-up squishy toy that kept them busy the whole meal. That alone made the night smoother than most family dinners. The food was fantastic. My burger was the best I've had in a long time and definitely not a frozen patty. My son's homemade mac and cheese was phenomenal and my wife's pasta had a sauce that tasted freshly made. All three kids finished their meals without any complaints. This restaurant is AMAZING!!! We were in town for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Stayed in Canton.....Stumbled upon DPs. We had such a good time. The staff was phenomenal. Jason the waiter was over the top incredible. Very knowledgeable on everything. He made us feel so welcome. Explained everything to us. I highly recommend going when Jason is working for the full experience. We received bread served with oil and balsalmic as soon as we sat down. So darn good, I got some to go. I had the delmonico rib eye. OMG.....I ate my whole plate it was so good. I also ordered the parmesan green beans....Also amazing. My husband had the bourbon bacon steak burger. He devoured his plate as well. Neil the chef came out twice to check on us. WoW! Such service. Amazing staff that works together as a team. Matt the bartender served us awesome cocktails. This place doesn't skip a beat. I wish I lived in Canton so I could visit this establishment all the time!!! Maybe open one by me? LOL.....We were also told that they own the two establishments next to them. There is a meat store where they have exotic meats. There was a serious flaw with service. This had NOTHING to do with our server. She was a sweetheart and and warned us upfront that they were short staffed and even the owner was coming in to help out. Unfortunately, every receive that I previously read mentioned a similar experience. I wanted to give this place a shot, but be warned we were there on a Friday night at 8:00 pm with reservations and were the last table in the restaurant before closing. Very little food was coming out the kitchen and most tables were in a waiting mode. Nope. No bread service to take your mind off the food you could be eating. I would pass on the Brussel Sprouts again, but I would order the pork belly and Chilean Sea Bass again. The Risotto was Amazing. Due to long wait times, I won't be visiting again so do t take it out on the servers. This was a back of the house issue. Perhaps the issue was that this particular night featured an all you can eat option for crab legs I believe, but it really wouldn't explain the same service and staff complaints from the year before. read more

So I thought this would be a nice celebration dinner for our anniversary and her retirement. I had heard some good things about the place, maybe I was expecting too much. At first it was nice and relatively quiet. Then I saw all these people bringing kids to join in. At multiple tables. Hey who am I to judge. I mean if you want to buy your kid a $30 entree it's your wallet. But the added random screaming or glass shattering because this is an adult restaurant, with adult prices. Didn't get me the nice quiet romantic meal I thought I would be paying for. The food took a little longer because it was fresh. I had the filet my wife the fish. Both meals were tasty and the server was helpful in our choices. The lighting was a little dark but perhaps it was to help set a certain mood. read more

Since this is the second review - I thought I might take some more time with this one. Some good, some bad, some odd. See below: The good: Presentation wise: solid A. In fact, photos on Facebook were the entire reason we checked this place out. You can bring your own alcohol. Staff was very friendly and messed two things up but were prompt to fix. The ok: Service was ok but slow. The young lady was friendly - didn't say her name or I didn't catch it. It's ala Carte across the board. A $50 steak doesn't come with a salad. The risotto was good and there was a ton of it. The odd: I guess I expected white tablecloths and a different style venu. Felt more like a diner trying to serve expensive food. It's a 32 seat (I could be off but that's how many I counted) venue with metal chairs and they are shoved in a corner of a very large space. The popcorn shop takes up most of the space. (Maybe popcorn has a higher ROI per sq foot?) Also, odd was no hostess. At least four people came in and left because waitress didn't catch them. One couple was seated then promptly left. The bad: The shrimp ceviche was bland. there is no alcohol but see above. And finally - about the steak....it was Cooked right on temp and was seasoned - but not well. It was definitely underwhelming for $2.50 an oz. (oh, they serve steak by the oz up to 32 oz for a ribeye.) it wasn't not good but it wasn't $50 good either. I was torn about it. I went with a friend for the first time. I got there at open at 4pm. We did the all you can eat crab legs. The second fill up was slow. I believe it's because the kitchen has to meet the demands of every ayce customers. After the first round it flowed steady. Our server was very attentive even with a table of 10 that she had to handle. I am going to recommend my friends to this place and as an individual I'll be coming back. Very happy and hooked. We made reservations a week in advance and upon our arrival, to no hostess and things in chaos. We had to wait almost a half an hour past our reservation time. I felt sorry for the waitress and service staff as they had no bartender as well. Had a whopping three waitresses for the entire restaurant. Our waitress was complaining that they're so understaffed and yet they open a second restaurant and pulling staff from this restaurant for the second restaurant when they can't even staff the first restaurant. Had my complaint on Facebook but then I was blocked so here's the yelp review; save your time and money. The food took forever and I do mean forever. It took almost 10 minutes to get a shrimp cocktail refill. The restaurant was very messy and unorganized. We did take care of our server as this was not her fault, it's the owner's fault. read more

Great looking place on the outside. Plenary of parking. Not sure of the style of the inside. It's clean and cool but not sure if it's upscale or ritzy cafe..... Went 7-11-24. The food and service was bad. Really bad. We got seated at 6:30 per our reservation and didn't see a drink until 7:15. The crab legs were overdone and the scallops and shrimp were nothing more than bags of deep fried whatever you can get at Sam's for 10.99. So, the dinner for 4 costs $150 (with nothing but waters to drink since the drinks we ordered didn't arrive until we were done.). Skip this place and head somewhere else. read more

We were there for Easter brunch and then again for Mothers Day this past Sunday. We were very happy with the service. Our waitresses were attentive to our needs even though it was a buffet. There was a great variety of food and they did a good job of keeping the food out. Because our reservations were closer to the end of the brunch service I was thinking the buffet might not have a lot of food, but they kept bringing food out as long as people were still eating. We ate there last year for my husband's birthday and we ordered off the menu. The food and service were excellent then as well. The restaurant itself is a little small but clean. This was one of the most expensive absolute worst experiences we've ever had. I made our reservations based on reviews, so I decided to leave one, too. Here is the message I sent to the owner - I forgot to mention that it was on Veterans Day and we planned this so called "amazing experience" for our son was freshly out of the Army. We were here tonight and had an absolutely terrible experience. Our steaks were not cooked to the temperature we requested, the toppings we ordered were missing, the lobster tails and crab legs were served cold. The green beans had an interesting sauce but actually tasted like tobacco. Soft drinks, tea and water were not refilled from the initial glass until after our meals were eaten. This was not because the restaurant was busy, there was only one other table when we were seated, although it did kind of fill up while we were there. The waitress apologized for the kitchen but also had an attitude about it. The other party that was with us sent their steak back and did get a discount on their bill for that portion (they still paid over $70 for the food they tried to eat, they requested a box twice so they could take the leftovers home and re-cook them, but the box was never provided). We never had a manager or cook come speak to us about our complaints and we were not offered any type of discount on our bill, which was $176 for three people. I don't mind paying that for superior food and service but this was subpar, to put it mildly. The one gentleman in our party was pretty vocal about our issues. The rest of us felt the same way but just didn't say much. I also forgot to mention that there was about 10 minutes between the first meal being delivered to our table and the last meal being delivered. Went in for our anniversary dinner since we had heard good things. Service was very slow. Waitress was overwhelmed. Drinks took 30 min. Appetizer was boom boom shrimp....very bland, no sauce, lack of flavor. We both ordered 8oz filet medium rare. Mine was 6oz at the most and cooked med well, couldn't eat almost half of it since it was like bark. My wife's was 8oz and cooked a little better but still not med rare. One meal never came out the entire time. Received it in a to go container along with the check. Service (not the fault of the server), she had the entire bar and bar area to herself, including our table. Struggled to bring drinks and keep glasses full. I called the restaurant IN ADVANCE to Let them know what was going on... we got to the restaurant I told the girl at the "front desk" and she said let me talk to the manager since we would only have 30 mins to eat. But I Offered to still sit down and pay for my meal in that 30 mins.... ANYWAY the girl said sorry cannot... so we basically was told to leave... what a horrible First experience like who talks to who like that... smh ‍ poor way of treating your guests that actually is willing to pay. So I read a lot of the reviews and it seemed to be 50/50 and we were in Canton and decided to see it for ourselves. This for me is one of my " one and done" places. First, we just about froze through dinner but that wasn't the really down hill part. The sides we ordered ( everything is A'la Carte) were very good (4 stars) but the brown lettuce in the salad for me is always 2 thumbs down. I don't know how they prepare the roasted corn but it's really tasty. Now the down hill part, as you can see in the photo part of the steak was literally raw not medium rare. My wife ordered medium well and it was more well than medium. For a 56.00, cut in the kitchen steak, I guess I had my expectations a bit high although the flavor was good so is a 22.00 steak from Texas Road House. I'm not going to say don't try it but I will tell you that the " not so raving reviews" believe them. The really odd thing is, if you have reservations, you get a seat behind the " family" curtain if not you're seated next to the popcorn and takeout counter. I travel the country frequently for my job which allows me to try a lot of local establishments. I met one of my key accounts last night for dinner based on her previous dining experience. The menu was very intriguing and made my dinner selection difficult. I ended up with the NY Strip and would rate the flavor amongst some of the top steakhouses around the country. They sat us across from the door (29 degrees out) I ask to be seated in a warmer location the waitress said no it was the. same everywhere in the restaurant. Kniece was pure joy NOT!!! I've been wanting to try this place for a while now so my girlfriend and I went there when the place opened at 4 pm. Ordered our drinks and food. My dinner, which was the all you can eat crab legs came out extremely fast but my girlfriends Filet Mignon didn't come out until about 10 minutes later. Basic rule of restaurant service is to bring all meals out at the same time. My dinner came with a free steak which actually looked like a very thin cut used for cheesesteak sandwiches. Wanted it medium rare but not sure how anyone could cook a steak that thin medium rare. I will say our waiter was awesome, very attentive. Just very disappointed in the quality of the meal. The fried oysters, shrimp and clam strips that accompanied my crab legs were something you'd buy from a grocery store freezer. Just bland and unappetizing. Overpriced for lack of quality in the food. From the set up to the atmosphere. The menu had an option for $79 crab legs. If I went to a place with a $79 entre option, I'd want a white table cloth experience not a "sports bar" type atmosphere. We asked for a medium-well burger ... and got a basically rare one. The fries tasted like freezer oil bath fries. I ordered a 16oz Ribeye and it was the smallest ribeye I've ever gotten. Normally I wouldn't make a big deal about it, but you pay by the ounce, so I can't help but feel I got ripped off a little bit. I wish that was the worst of it, but sadly it gets worse. The steak itself had so much seasoning on it, I struggled through half of it and then gave up. I LOVE a flavorful steak, but this was so overdone it was almost inedible. I don't claim to be a connoisseur of high end steak, but I've eaten at Gibson's & Lawry's in Chicago, Mitchell's in Columbus, and multiple steak houses in NYC. For the pricing at DP being similar to some of these other high end steakhouses, it was a monumental let down. I would go as far to say it may be the worst steak I have paid for. My wife's filet was similar, but at least slightly less seasoned. Additionally, the lobster Gouda risotto was mushy and a let down as well, especially for $18. I will say the steak was at least cooked correctly to our requests, so that was something. And the bread plate was very good as well, so I guess that was a plus. I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt since it was a Tuesday. Maybe they do a better job on the weekend. But if you are thinking of trying DP, don't go on a week night. read more

My wife and I dined in last night not realizing they offered "all you can eat surf and turf." The food was a little slow, but with the restaurant being full, we understood and it was definitely worth the wait! Our waitress was busy talking to the couple across from us, and we had to ask other workers to bring us items that we needed. It seemed like we had to be regulars to get any attention from her. She had many complaints about management decisions and the direction the place is heading. It was awfully uncomfortable to sit and listen to the conversation. Walking into a popcorn store throws off the vibe. Odd atmosphere. Was expecting a nice quiet Valentines Dinner. 11 tables with 3 large tables and 80's rock bands music playing. There was even tables in the popcorn store. Curtains separated the restaurant and the popcorn store. Hostess parts the curtain to let you in. Weird!! Vacuum cleaner and broom in the corner by the front door. Not a fan or the atmosphere. Food was excellent! Server was great and everything came out perfectly cooked and quick. Started with crab cakes, excellent!! I ordered mushroom and spinach risotto and had scallops put on top. Wow! Delicious! The bread and dipping oil were also wonderful. My husband had a strip steak with rosemary butter and whipped potatoes with chives and cheddar cheese. He also thought the food was perfect! Will we go back? Hmmm?
