The blackened cod with garlic green beans was blah at best. Lacked seasoning...salt and pepper for the win. Our drinks took forever and the four of us watched a table of 6 come in 10 minutes after us, get their drinks and get their food while we waited. When we asked another waitress about it, she said that had only had two cooks in the kitchen because of "some drama" that happened earlier. Food is not worth the price. Garlic bread is toasted hoagie with margarine. Jumbo shrimp are small shrimp seasoned well. Fries are unsalted. Cole slaw is child size and mostly mayo. Perch ok, sides mah...my sandwich (three small pcs perch on wonder bread bun - that's it, coke and onion rings) I put some tarter sauce on the sandwich and it was tasty. Loved the dive bar vibe. Bustling atmosphere. I've been trying to get down here for some time to try it out. Went at lunchtime got seated promptly. As it seems everyone is these days, they were definitely understaffed. The barkeep that greeted us, also seated us with menus, then went back to man the bar. Took a while for the food to arrive, wife got shrimp tacos, I got the cod dinner and swapped out the standard fries for onion rings. Ever the icon of propriety, a word with which my spell check is not familiar, it wasn't until the next day that she shared that they were the worst fish tacos she had ever consumed. Shrimp were overcooked, hence rubbery, tacos were stale. Perhaps they skipped the warming of them on the flattop, to speed up the order processing. The only thing bringing flavor to the plate was the sauce. Her fries were just okay, and did not look or taste like fresh cut. The batter which most reviewers can't talk enough about, lent the fish and rings their crispness, but to my palate didn't have any seasoning including salt, so again without their sauces both had very little flavor. The rings had been battered then dumped in the fryer en masse, so when they came out it was in clumps. If you enjoy a crisp exterior with an un-cooked batter/onion interior this is your spot! To enhance this offering, they also arrived cold, as did the fish. The fish was a bit overcooked but not terribly so, just a bit "Al dente." Great with pasta, less so with fish. For a restaurant that serves largely seafood, I was totally underwhelmed. I'd go back for the kitschy vibe, but I'd probably get a burger. read more

Were new to the area, and looking for delicious food. We found it in this little tavern on the corner. We called in to place a pickup order, it was ready exactly when they said it would be. The building looks small outside, but is surprisingly big when you get inside. We brought our parcel home and oh boy! This fish is so delicious, fried perfectly, the tartar sauce is slightly sweet but very good (i might've added some dill and vinegar to brighten it up). We ordered some of their onion rings which were delicious. We definitely would like to eat in the next time we visit. read more

I really enjoy Eadies Fish House, but the cod was a little over cooked. It was very rubbery. Comparing the color of the fish this is much darker than the cod in my other post. I was really disappointed with the fish this time. We received plenty of food for the 2 of us and the waitress was very nice. We both also got a frozen mango Margarita, mine was a bit too strong for me but my wife's was fine. We both love the atmosphere, makes us feel like we are on the ocean. read more

We stopped in here for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. It's cute - it has a beach vibe. If you sit outside, squint hard, and tilt your head far enough, you can *almost* forget you're in Northeastern Ohio. We sat out on the patio on a beautiful summer day. My husband ordered a draft beer; I had a strawberry margarita. He had the cod sandwich with a side of onion rings. I'd already eaten lunch so I tried a bite of his sandwich and stole a few onion rings. Everything was good. The fried fish was crisp. The tartar sauce was a little on the sweeter side than I prefer, but it complemented the sandwich well. Onion rings were heavily battered and could have used a dash of salt before leaving the kitchen. Service was a little spotty at times, though it appeared they were understaffed for the number of guests at an off-peak time. I have been looking for the best fish and chips in Northeast Ohio for quite a while now and I think I have finally found it at Eadies Fish House. I became aware of Eadies from the glowing Yelp reviews and have been trying to get there for a couple of months; I finally made it for lunch last week and it was so good I had to return for dinner this week. Eadies is located in an out of the way area of North Canton about 1/2 mile from the I-77 Portage Street exit. Eadies is a single story stand alone building with wrap around porches, there is a nice wooden sign out front and a small parking lot around 3 sides of the building. You enter through the porches and once inside you find a small dining area decorated in bright colors, with stuffed fish, nautical items and probably $1000 in $1 bills tacked up everywhere. There is a small 4 seat bar and about 10 tables. The patios are a bit more open with more seating and a more relaxed atmosphere, it looks like they are set up for year round use. Overall Eadies looks like it should be located near the ocean, just outside the touristy area. Both times I arrived they were busy, but I was seated quickly and my server showed up promptly. Service was relaxed, but efficient and attentive; the servers here hustle and seem to be having a great time which is always a great sign. Not surprisingly the menu leans heavily on fish and seafood, mostly fried, although they also have salads, tacos, burgers, coneys, chicken and plenty of sandwiches. The menu also has lunch specials and daily specials during the week. They have beer and mixed drinks along with other beverages. I ordered the 1 piece fish dinner from the lunch special ($10) and since I was there on Wednesday for dinner I got the Grouper sandwich ($9) and Onion Rings ($3). Food came out promptly and was fresh and hot. The 1 piece Cod dinner actually came out with 2 nice sized pieces of cod, perfectly battered and fried. A generous portion of medium sized fries were crisp without being overcooked. The lunch specials come with a beverage as well so the price is very fair. The Grouper sandwich is a nice bun with 1 large and 1 smaller pieces of grouper, once again perfectly battered and fried. The large portion of onion rings are handmade crispy and delicious. Eadies clearly has figured out how to batter and fry fish perfectly, the fish is moist, the crust is tasty and clings to the fish. Since Eadies sells lots of fish it is very fresh and high quality. The sides have big portions and are well prepared. You are not going to find complex flavors here, they make excellent straight forward food, nothing fancy, instead really good. In addition to the condiments on the tables (ketchup, hot sauce, vinegar and salt and pepper) they bring you a huge squeeze bottle of house made tarter sauce and tangy onion ring sauce. I have to say I love Eadies, it is a fun funky hall in the wall fish shack that would feel at home near the ocean or a major lake. The atmosphere is great, service is excellent, food is awesome, the portions are big and this is some of the best fried fish I have had. The only issue I have is that it is about 1 hour drive from my home, although that is probably a good thing since if it was closer I would probably gain some weight as Eadies is probably not the place to diet. I would highly recommend Eadies if you are in the Canton area or it is well worth a road trip if you are looking for some great fried fish. read more

Went there because my wife wanted salmon. She had the grilled salmon - excellent! I had the butcher burger - it was delicious. The waitress we had was very friendly, knowledgeable about all the entrees, and gave great service. We had a delightful experience and highly recommend this restaurant. We loved coming to Eadies Fish House until this evening. Upon arrival something clearly seem to be going down in the restaurant. Lots of attitudes at the check in counter between employees. The employees were very disgruntled to each other, and not very welcoming to us. As we were seated on the patio, we noted that the table was not very clean. Our server came to our table with no introduction just an abrupt, "What can I get you to drink?" This set the tone for the entire meal. Selena, our server did provide service to us, but friendliness and any attentiveness was not present at any time during our meal. I had wild caught shrimp, side salad, and deep fried mushrooms. My husband had the deep fried perch and fries. My husband commented while eating, "I guess we can write this one off." The fish was tough, the fries seemed like they had been sitting around, and overall the food seemed so bland. This is so disappointing to us. I am not sure what has happened at Eadies, but it no longer checks the box for us. We will not be returning. read more

Eadies reminds me of going to a seaside burger hut...in the middle of North Canton! We've been here multiple times and have never had a bad meal. The crawfish poboy is amazing and I don't know any other place you can get hush puppies anywhere else in the area. The dollars pinned to all the walls really tell the whole story.
