Oy Vey. As I recall we were at Jose's on a Thursday night and they had a pretty fun karaoke. I can tell you there were mostly younger folks but a couple that were almost our age. I believe we had trouble finding their signage in the dark and parked in a little area in the back. A bit spooky but ended up safe in the long run. The bartender was really cool and fast like the wind. Not sure what we talked about, but was definitely good folks. No food that I remember; if there was, we didn't order any. I think someone brought in a small pizza. So, you can do that. It's definitely a drive, but a solid comfortable one with a pretty good view of the lake, but it was dark out.

The stuffed mushrooms were excellent, it was the best dish we got. Fish was fried a bit hard but still tasted good. The Raspberry Mojito was decent, the mint added didn't add anything but didn't take anything away. The service was fine, nothing amazing but nothing bad. It was dead when we went just some people at the bar and some golf bros that came in as we were leaving. The bad: Please offer bottled water, that tap water tastes straight from the lake. If it is bottle water it's the cheapest water I've tasted. Good thing I ordered lemon with it. The fries, there was so much salt that they burned to eat. Whoever was so heavy handed with the salt needs to scale it back a bit or offer the fries by default without salt. They had a good taste but it was lost to extreme sodium. The inside was clean, like I said it was dead so it was organized. The bathroom floor was sticky but it's not the worst bathroom I've been in. We might come back, we really enjoyed the mushrooms but I got my entire sodium allowance with just a couple of the fries. We barely ate the fries, yet we're not comped them as we stated they were bad. They removed the soda I had to ask for to get the salt out of my mouth because that water tasted so bad. Both plates of fries went back after the complaint and we still had to pay for them.

I got an English muffin and scrambled eggs, and my husband got an everything bagel with cream cheese. The coffee was hot and fresh! The food was good, except for the EGGS.. they were really weird! So... if several people have mentioned it- - it seems to me like they would fix it! We have to give a shout out to our server. Her name was Chloe. She is soft spoken but very mid-western friendly! The drink prices that they had weren't too bad at all they had a few hard ciders that I really enjoyed. Staff here was absolutely friendly and helpful with us. This place was absolutely packed! For a really large groups they have other tables as well. This DJ was extremely rude to us. On our first song he scolded us for putting songs in the queue, which is the point of karaoke. I have no issue with interchanging folks to sing so that it's fair. He made many rude comments when we were on stage. After a few of us performed he said "okay now let's get the energy up on this next song". The song in question was 'you're a mean one Mr. Grinch'. Which I imagine was pretty embarrassing for him. Every other song was him and his friend singing and unfortunately they sounded horrible. I like this bar a lot but I'll never expose myself to a terrible karaoke evening like this again. I really hope auricle finds a karaoke dj who is talented and kind.
