Another sponsored work lunch from Town Tavern today and I was the one to pick it up. The order was…read moreready quickly and packaged nicely, but they forgot the Diet Coke so I had to flag someone down and wait 5 minutes for it. We all got salads or turkey clubs so it wasn't like I came back with hot food that had turned cold over time, but still. No fun. Anyway, the interior is clean and very sports bar-esque. I liked the pretty lamps hanging about. There are loads of tvs and seating and a massive bar! There are lots of upcoming events and specials on flyers/posters everywhere and I was intrigued by the dueling pianos event advertised for next month. As for the food, this review and rating is for my 2nd and 3rd time eating their food - a salad from today and a skimpy as heck protein bowl from a few weeks ago. My greek power bowl delivery from a few weeks ago was nearly 20 bucks and was missing the dressing and veggie medley! The fish on top was overcooked while the chickpeas were undercooked! I ate it almost because I was hungry but I wouldn't ever get that again. As for today's meal, a tavern salad with extra chicken and extra tomatoes, well... I am glad I also didn't pay for this because they definitely did not give me double chicken nor extra tomatoes. Also, they are very skimpy on the veggies and cheese overall. And yes, the chicken was dry. Again! Like my pizza from my review earlier this year! One day, I'll learn my lesson and not order chicken and CHECK the portions on my food before I leave the restaurant. So yeah, I am lowering my review from 4 stars to 3 and even that feels generous. But I would like to try a meal there while dining in. The vibes seem pretty cool!

Came here with a group of 6 for a birthday dinner and overall had a really lovely time--with a few…read morememorable quirks along the way. First things first: walking to our table felt a little like an unintentional balance challenge. The floor was a bit slick, so I grabbed onto the railing... only to discover the end post was apparently just resting there and not actually secured. It popped right off Not exactly the grand entrance we planned, but definitely a conversation starter. Once seated, though, the place really shines. The ambience is fantastic--warm, inviting, and set on a gorgeous property that makes you want to linger. Our waitress was attentive and friendly all night. She gave us a heads-up that the kitchen was short-staffed, so dinner took about 20 minutes longer than expected, but the transparency helped. And the food? Worth the wait. The lasagne was comically large (like, half a sheet pan large), the short ribs were fall-apart tender and delicious, and those garlicky rolls were dangerously good. Drinks were a mixed bag--some of the group swore by the extra dirty martinis, while one friend struck out twice trying different cocktails. All in all, this place has a lot going for it: great atmosphere, solid food, and a setting that feels a little special. My only wish is that it were closer to Cleveland so I could justify coming back more often.
