Been a bit, still fantastic! This eatery is always surprising you with a creative delicious seasonal menu. The speedy yet not rushed staff attend to your every need and question. If you have a question about what food might pair well with what beer, they are there for you with solid recommendations. Clearly, they have been trained through this process and educated as food and beverage choices. We were there with another couple and ultimately ordered three different appetizers. We were received fried steaks, cheese, curds, and fried green tomatoes topped with homemade pimento cheese and crab meat. Every one of these was absolutely delicious, enjoyed in the back of the business where the bar is located and the ambience is just bright enough to allow you to enjoy everything. For dinner I received the recommendation of the burger of the week, the Monte Cristo. Imaginary burger with French toast as a bun, a perfectly cooked burger, an amazing piece of ham, some wonderful Swiss cheese and topped with a dusting of powdered sugar and drizzled and homemade maple syrup. It came with sides of a raspberry compote and sour cream. It might not sound delicious, but I have to tell you every bite was a taste treat many many layers of deliciousness. Stopped in at the union town brewing Company in Ashland this evening. The atmosphere is very nice, they have light music on and a very relaxed atmosphere. For dinner I had the chicken pot pie. I've had a lot of chicken pot pie in my lifetime. This one by far takes it to the next level. The pot pie has a very light Flay crust. The crust is a pastry crust that just sets it apart from anything I've ever had. The chicken in the pot pie was very tender and moist. The potatoes were cooked to perfection, and the peas and carrots were very delicious also, it was also served with a very nice sauce or creamy base. Again, this is the best chicken pot pie I have ever had! On a sidenote, this is a seasonal item. So you may have to check to see if it's being served. read more

Uniontown Brewing is located inside a former furniture store within a strip of quant shops in Ashland. The brewery itself is fairly good-sized. The main area has 2 large rooms. One of which houses the bar. There is another small room to the right of the main entrance that I was told used to be utilized as an event space and is likely transitioning into a second bar area. When I visited there were 18 taps advertised. Unfortunately a third of the taps were down. Thankfully the functioning taps still had some tasty offerings. Our server was very friendly and was happy to bring out samples of the different beers to try. I enjoyed both of the hazy ipas I ended up ordering. For dinner I ordered a seasonal salad of kale and quinoa. I had mixed feelings about the salad. The kale was delicious, but the quinoa was pretty flavorless. I probably wouldn't order it again. I did get to sample a few other dishes my friends were eating and they were all very good. I have never been to the downtown Ashland area before, but I can definitely see returning! read more

We always bring people here from out of town because it's the perfect local spot. We love eating in our taking it out to home or the community pool. Server Andrew was awesome! The kinda guy who pulls up a chair and makes eye contact! The portobello was amazing! Fresh mozzarella and a glaze that is both zesty and sweet. Checked out Uniontown Brewing today for a late lunch. It took a couple of minutes for someone to go to the host stand to seat us in the people in front of us. This is the only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. The staff person waiting on us was helpful, fun and upbeat. Loved her enthusiasm. I couldn't decide which beer I wanted of the 3 I had it narrowed down to. She offered me a sample of my choices. I went with the amber, which I recommend! Food was delicious and freshly prepared. We ordered a few different items and shared among the three of us. Here's what we ordered, drunken fish sliders, chicken tenders and pastrami sandwich. Also started the meal with a salad and meatballs that were also shared. Loved the pastrami! My favorite of the menu items we shared. Everything else was really good too! I love it here! I have gone at least 10 times and have really enjoyed every one! Our go to appetizers are spicy tots and something off of their seasonal menu (it changes every 3 ish months). I try to try something new off of the seasonal menu but when I don't, I get the drunken fish sliders with fries! My family loves their burgers that are pretty big for being 10-12$. It's a big place with a "dining room" and a bar/high top area! They have house made brews but also cocktails that are so good! Seriously recommend coming! read more

Wow, what a wonderful lunch my friends and I enjoyed here this past weekend. We each ordered something different and shared entrees because we wanted to try so many things! The bbq pork macaroni and cheese was rich and delicious with smoked, shredded pork and bbq sauce, the jam burger was fantastic with fries that were perfect and then the chicken and waffles was one of the best I've ever had-wonderfully spicy and sweet! We are town to see my parents (who are born and raised locals). They had not yet been to this new establishment downtown and were eager to visit. We walked up to the huge front windows being wiped clean and noticed the same amount of effort in basically every detail inside. We were greeted promptly by a wonderful server who explained the brew board and gave us a run down of the special menu. We chose to try the flight which happened to be on Thursday special. We each had pick of 5 brews in our flights and none were disappointing - even traveling from a heavy craft brew home city (Asheville, NC) to small town Ashland. Dad had the finger steak appetizer and it was so tender we all had to try a bite. The teensagers burgers were presented on nice looking buns and piled high with a side of fries. I had a salad from the special menu, spinach and strawberry with feta, walnuts and a grilled chicken that blended so well I didn't even miss it having a side of those fries. The sliders presented as well as the gourmet burgers and the fish specifically received rave reviews from mom. We enjoyed our visit immensely. A step up from typical bar fare, this is a nice place to bring a date or the family. If anyone in the party is a historical building fan they will enjoy some of the exposed architecture. Modern decorating mixed with an industrial look works well here. Take the back way to exit via the rear doors and peak at the brewery in the basement. read more

Located on Main Street near Ashland University campus, Uniontown Brewing offered a trendy but comfy ambiance that perfectly complimented the crisp fall weather. We tried the IPA and vanilla porter, both were delicious. For food, we got the grilled cheese with tomato soup and the breakfast burger. We were pleased with everything we chose. The service was very friendly and our food came out in a flash. Living in downtown Cleveland, we are inundated with breweries so it was nice to try somewhere new and a little different. Visited Uniontown Brewing Company for lunch, while in town for a work meeting. It is located in downtown Ashland. During a busy time, parking might be an issue but my colleague and I didn't have any issues finding a spot at that time. We walked into the restaurant and it was pretty empty and quiet. We stood for a few minutes and no staff immediately greeted us which was a little concerning but first impressions aren't always what they seem. My colleague and I made our way to the back of the restaurant and sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the SOUTH STREET CHICKEN which was a Cream Ale marinated grilled chicken, smoked gouda, grilled tomato, thick cut bacon, salami, fresh basil, and romaine served with your choice of one of a few different side options. I chose a side salad and skipped the bun. My colleague ordered the sliders-fried chicken and flank steak with the homemade slaw. We also ordered the House-made tots served with house-made ranch. My colleague really enjoyed her meal. My sandwich was good too but my favorite were the tots. Soooo good! I loved the atmosphere of the place. It had such a nice vibe. I loved the old industrial feel with a mix of historical elements of former tenants of the building. Very cool! I would definitely stop by when in town again. What a beautiful restoration of a building. This place is gorgeous. Decorated beautifully for Christmas too. Plenty of seating in the waiting area. Lots of seating inside and at the bar. Everyone was super friendly! We went opening night and it was busy but there was still plenty of room for walking around and socializing. Waited only a short time to get seated and since it was the first night service was a bit slow but the food totally made up for that. I ordered the Sliders (Flank Steak and Fish) with Fresh Cut Fries. Husband ordered the UBC Burger with Slaw. His singular burger was only fractionally bigger than one of my sliders and only $1 less, but it was tasty. I had tea and husband tried the Ashland IPA, a little too bitter for his liking, and the Uniontown IPA, this one was perfect. We will definitely return. I visit Ashland every year to visit my family and the thing I'm least excited about is the lack of good places to eat out. But my thought changed after my sister took me to Uniontown Brewing during my recent trip. This place has a good selection of great tasting beer. Especially memorable to my taste were the stout and kolsch. For the food, we ordered a big pretzel with cheese and pork cracklings, which went well with the beer. The slightly salty and crunchiness of the cracklings is an experience I will cherish until my next visit to Ashland. The interior of the place was impressive. High ceilings and an inviting yet hipster vibe added to the whole experience. Price was affordable and the service was great. Can't wait for my next visit to Ashland. read more

November 2020 update. The menu has been matured. Dropped in and had a flight of IPA's and ordered drunken fish sliders. Came with a side of Fries. They were awesome by themselves but the vinegar I put on them them took them to another level. The Lke perch fish in the slider took me back to my childhood. Hot, fresh, battered fish. Ironically I've been craving fish. My Jones is fulfilled. . Uniontown is the de-facto anchor of downtown Ashland. Keep it up. read more
