I have been coming here regularly for about 6/8 months! I have to say I am extremely happy! Anybody at the front desk is always pleasant and helpful! I have always felt welcome, very friendly no pressure environment! I have always been able to fine a convenient time for my appointment! I do have the membership for two services and it's the best! Waxing The City - Are you ready for VDay? - Waxing Near Me - Oswego, Illinois

I visited Waxing the City for the first time and had two services with Justice. She was amazing! My services were totally painless and she was thorough and meticulous. Further, she was so friendly and helpful with tips and advice and made me feel completely comfortable. Waxing isn't typically a "relaxing" beauty treatment but that's exactly how I felt! The location was super clean and a very calming environment with a lovely front desk staff as well. 10 out of 10 recommend and will be back to see Justice! read more

I almost don't want to write this review and give up my GIRL Justice. I've been going to Justice for two years and she's FANTASTIC. I've never strayed from her, she's so fast and you never feel rushed. No one wants to lay on a table forever getting your downstairs waxed, she literally makes it the easiest and as close to painless as you can get. My brows always turn out 12/10 too!! read more

I have been waxing for many years but this salon by far is the best! They are so welcoming and my esthetician was so sweet, paid attention to detail and made sure I was really happy with my results! The vibe is so modern and upscale. This is my spot for all my waxing needs moving forward! read more

First waxing salon I've been to and both experiences have been great! Megan did a great job with lip and Chin waxed and eyebrow and eyelash tinting. The facility is super-clean and Megan always makes sure to explain what she's doing. read more

they did my hair nothing like I wanted and I wanted a little bit off the sides but they took it all off and put the bottom part of the back of my head in the shape of an m like I was getting an Edgar / bull cut read more

Ripped skin ouch! I'm giving 3 stars because I've been before and have indeed had good experiences however the last 2 times all I can say is sigh... (the last time was my very last time and I will certainly it return) my flipping skin was ripped off! Came for my usual ... full Brazilian... left with ripped skin and left over wax in and on places I won't mention... did I call to complain... nope... I will just leave my review here and never return.. sigh and to Karen - the owner - perhaps it's because my name changed due to Marriage ‍ nevertheless it happened read more

The girl she really needs more training to do eyebrows. I will never go back . read more

I am extremely disappointed with management and front desk staff. If you make an online appointment, please call YOURSELF to confirm. As a long time and loyal customer, I went online and scheduled an appointment. Thankfully I called prior to leaving. Low and behold the receptionist advised me she did not show an appointment. I told her that I had a screenshot of the appointment. She then advised me that there were no more appointments as she just posted an ad on Facebook and everything filled up, " a lot of her friends booked" were the exact words. I asked her if she was serious??? She then informed me there may have been a computer glitch. I told her she needed to make this right as I am a regular. She became belligerent and I was not going to engage in such pettiness. What they did not know is one of my friends that also goes to their establishment was there later that day and overheard them speaking ill of me in the front lobby. Now isn't that a phenomenal way to express customer loyalty and appreciation? I think not, do not waste your time on this place. Let's face it, we are adults and pay for a service. I believe everyone could so without the frivolous nonsense. Save yourself unnecessary headaches. I will not be back! read more

OMG this isn't my first time here but each time I've come it's been outstanding! Karen is super sweet and so friendly! Justice did my wax and my brows and I look and feel amazing. The wax was pretty painless and efficient but she made sure she did a great job. We talked the whole time and it wasn't the least bit uncomfortable. Definitely recommend Waxing the City Oswego!!! You won't ever be disappointed!! #customerforlife read more

My friend Osiris V. recommended Waxing the City to me. She goes to one in Oak Brook, but Waxing the City has locations just about everywhere! Honestly, the solid five star rating had me suspicious. However, I promise you, these are all legit! I had my eyebrows waxed last week by Diana. She did an awesome job. She's friendly and knowledgeable. The service itself was the most painless waxing I've ever had done. At worst, it was like removing a Band-Aid. The process was extremely thorough too, the little tool used at the end of the session caught me by surprise since the buzzing sound had me slightly worried I'd end up with a teardrop tattoo or something. It smoothes out the skin, or something like that. The best part? My super sensitive face experienced NO redness and NO breakouts. Normally I leave a wax to go straight home and put on my make-up. After this wax, my make-up was still on my face, undisturbed. I could have gone to dinner without looking like I'd put a hot iron to my face. The prices here are a little bit higher than my old place. But the convenience of the location, the super sweet staff, the ease of booking appointments online, and the PERFECT wax job has me sold on spending a few bucks more. Plus, your first visit is half off. Way to get people hooked! read more

Just had eyebrow, lip and chin waxing by Diana. She was amazing! If you are looking for a high quality waxing artist go to her. I'm visiting family and live out of town. I'm very particular about waxing services. Diana was incredibly precise, friendly, and did a great job. Highly recommend this business! read more

I've been to the location a few times with no problem but my last experience was a nightmare! My technician was nice enough but she waxed the same area multiple times. I woke up the next morning with extremely inflamed skin that required a trip to the doctor and an antibiotic. I called and requested to speak to the manager/owner and never got a call back. Definitely will not be returning! read more

My first time here, didn't know they've been here for over a year. They're kinda hidden, but they're closest to Douglas Rd & Old Post Rd intersection, behind the Old Second Bank. I booked a Brazilian with Megan. Loved her! She was very friendly, great, explained everything that she was going to do so I knew what to expect! I know this a sensitive service, but they make you feel as comfortable as possible! Their location is also very clean & they use a special hard wax to make it less painful than it would with soft wax & cloth strips. I was a little nervous too because I'm 35 weeks pregnant, but it was almost painless. I recommend taking Tylenol or Advil 30 minutes before you're appointment, & exfoliate a couple days before. I will be back at this location! I used to go all the way to downtown Geneva, but so glad this place is only about 10-15 minutes away! read more

Elaina was amazing! She gave me such a great first experience with a Brazilian wax. It was pain free and was so quick. I've always had issues when getting my eyebrows waxed due to my sensitive skin and I went in thinking I would have uncomfortable hives but this experience was different from all the others. No bumps, discomfort or burning at all. She was incredibly friendly, nice and very informative with all of my questions. I will definitely be going back to see her again! read more

Wow, such a great place. Very clean, professional and warm welcoming once you enter. Delani was my aestheticism and I cannot say enough good things about her. Very good at her trade. She was kind and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend this location and I will continue to get all services done with Waxing The City. A true must try and you will LOVE. read more

Took my daughter here for a brow wax (typically we go to Naperville location, which is great) and our experience was NOT good. The girl performing the eyebrow shape was extremely unfriendly. When I asked if it can be redone so at least both eyebrows match, I got total attitude back. I will NOT be returning. read more

For some reason, the company makes its employees use soft wax for legs. WWHHHHHYYYYYY, it's the worst! I'm glad she was allowed to use hard wax for the bikini area, but seriously. Soft wax takes so much longer, hurts more, leaves legs sticky, and doesn't work as well. The prices were good and I'd love to get the membership, but I'll go back to my regular salon that uses hard wax. read more

****ONLY GIVING TWO STARS BECAUSE OF MY MOST RECENT VISIT**** I have been going to this location for the past 6 months and I have never had an issue with my waxed besides my most recent visit. I had scheduled an appointment last minute for a Brazilian and got in pretty quickly. I've been getting Brazilians for the past 6 months so I know what to expect and walk out of....but this was possibly the worst wax I have ever received. The lady that waxed me was very sweet and kind but I walked out so unsatisfied. I usually like to keep a patch of hair and she didn't ask me if I wanted that, so I told her and she had already taken off all my hair from the top:( she kept apologizing which I appreciate that but I really did not want it bare. To top it all off I was there for 50 minutes. 50 MINUTES FOR A WAX???!!!! I'm usually there for half an hour at most. Not only that but after she left the room for me to check how it was, there was still hair left!!! I did not bother saying anything to her because I was already there for so long. I came home and also noticed she had ripped my skin off. I'm just extremely disappointed in my last visit. If you're looking for someone to go to I would recommend Diana or Megan. read more

I've been here three times now and every time I go it is a great and relaxing experience! The staff is always super friendly and the area is always clean. I know some people might say "Oo $21 is expensive- the lady at my nail place charges $10.." but seriously, their service is worth every penny and you'll leave with EXACTLY what you asked for! read more

It had been over a year since anyone had touched my eyebrows. After reading the reviews for Waxing the City on Facebook, I thought I should give it a try. Megan was wonderful. She didn't judge my eyebrows that were in need of attention. She was thorough and I love my eyebrows. I already booked my next appointment when I left. Thank you, Megan! read more

Katie was very nice ! She did my tinting! I Would have gave 5 stars but the girl in the front wasn't very friendly, so it didn't feel welcoming, I will probably go to the Naperville location next time and hope for better customer service! read more

Mandi did an amazing job on my underarms. i will definitely be back again. the online appointment set up was really easy to do

Diana was excellent. This was only my second time getting waxed and she surpassed all of my expectations. She made me extremely comfortable and was a joy to chat with-we laughed a ton which made the time go by very quickly. The results she provided are incredible. I will be back to see her for sure! read more

You'll never go back to shaving and you'll find yourself to be a regular customer in no time! read more

I came to Waxing the City for my first wax EVER and I was not disappointed at all. I had Megan for a Brazilian and she was amazing. I found this place on Yelp and it is wonderful. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I have a lot of facial hair and it's been hard for me to fine some place where they don't keep waxing over and over on my sensitive skin. This is one of the few places that I left and my face wasn't burning (Thanks Theresa) read more

Really impressed with Waxing the City in Oswego. The location is modern, sparkling clean and welcoming. The rooms are spotless and have nice little touches like a charging station for your phone, plenty of space to hang your coats, purses, clothing, etc. Definitely has a big city look but that home town feel. This is a full service waxing salon that uses quality products with specially trained estheticians. Nice to have this service out in the burbs! Shannon was awesome, relaxed and knowledgeable. And she's the eyebrow Queen! I highly recommend this spot! read more

Waxing the City, Oswego,IL is wonderful. It is clean & professional from the entry to the treatment rooms. I go to Mandi, she is very friendly, as is everyone, & tells you what she is doing & why during the treatment. She makes it easy to relax. The type of wax used doesn't require cloth strips & is virtually pain free. Call now for your appointment. read more

The girl was young and clearly inexperienced. Never had such a horrible experience, even the first time I got waxed. I asked her to stop because it was taking so long and so painful because she clearly didn't know how to tear the wax off, and she stormed out of the room and never said another word to me. I paid full price for this terrible service. I called another WTC location to find out if I was crazy or if it was truly a rare, awful experience, and they were shocked by what happened and even offered for me to go to them to FINISH my wax for free. I did get ahold of the manager, and a 50% refund was offered. For a horrible service that was incomplete, I still feel 100% should have been refunded, but sometimes it's just not the hill you want to die on. I strongly recommend asking for an experienced employee to avoid issues like mine. read more

Diana was courteous, professional, and efficient! My brows look great! It was also easy for me to get a same day appointment.

Had an appointment with Diana for a Brazilian yesterday. Never experienced waxing before so I was a bit anxious. She did fabulous and had me so relaxed and at ease especially considering what was being done. Time zipped by and in the end I could barely believe how comfortable she made me.
