I had lip blush done about 3-4 years ago by someone else, and it was honestly a horrible experience. Over the last few months, I kept asking Anna if it was really supposed to hurt that much or if I had just gone to someone who didn't know what they were doing. Like any PMU procedure, it's never going to be completely comfortable, but it also shouldn't make you want to quit halfway through which is exactly how I felt the first time, and I have an abnormally high pain tolerance. Anna reassured me that it really shouldn't be that painful, and she was absolutely right. I'm not trying to knock another small business, but the difference was truly night and day. The first pass has to be done before numbing, so naturally that's the most uncomfortable part. After that, Anna reapplied numbing cream multiple times throughout the appointment, and honestly, all I could feel was the vibration of the machine. One thing I really admire about Anna is that she's constantly learning and testing new products to give her clients the best possible experience. She actually tried two different numbing creams during my appointment to compare them. The first worked ok, but the second was hands down the best numbing I've ever experienced. When I told her, she immediately thanked me for the feedback and said she'd be switching to that one going forward. That's the kind of dedication she has, she genuinely cares about making every appointment as comfortable as possible. The appointment itself is about three hours, but the time absolutely flies. Anna is so easy to talk to, has a great sense of humor, and somehow makes the whole experience feel effortless. One thing I love most is that opening her own storefront hasn't changed her at all. She's poured her heart and soul into building her business, yet she's still the same humble, kind, and genuinely grateful person she was before. She's the definition of a girl's girl. For anyone curious, we created a custom color by mixing Brownie Pink and Choco Mauve to get a more neutral brown-toned lip. We tested several combinations on my hand until we found the perfect shade, and I really appreciated how patient she was. She wanted to make sure the color was exactly what I envisioned before we even started. I am beyond happy with how my lips turned out. They already look incredible, and the healing process has been unbelievably easy. The first time I had lip blush done (at a different place), my lips swelled to nearly four times their normal size (I'm not exaggerating) and stayed that way for five days. I was so embarrassed that I wore a mask whenever I went out. This time? Virtually no swelling, and healing has been a breeze. I can't wait to see the final color once everything settles over the next few weeks. Anna deserves every bit of success that's come her way. She continuously invests in herself, her education, and her clients, always looking for ways to improve an experience that's already exceptional. The billing experience was even worse. At checkout, I asked for my $78 haircut to be totaled at $100 (a $22 tip). Instead, a $100 tip was added -- bringing the total to $178, which is a 128% tip. This was done without any confirmation or verification on their end. I didn't realize the mistake until I checked my receipt days later, and the amount was so unreasonable that it felt dishonest. When I contacted the owner, Julie Campbell, I was told that a $78 refund had been issued. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the error. Because of the service issues and the incorrect charge, I cannot recommend this salon. Double-check your receipt before leaving.

Located in a beautiful ~brand new salon suites building, just off of Rt. 34 in Oswego. There is a huge parking lot adjacent to the offices (free of charge). Her upscale and intimate salon suite offers all the expected hair care services with the personal touch you won't find at a Mario T salon. Amee is a great listener and has a very talented eye both for color and texture. Not only is she a miracle worker with damaged and chemical treated hair (AKA me) but she's savvy in creating stylish and sophisticated up-do's. Amee did my updo in February for my wedding. By showing her a few photo's I'd pulled from bride magazines and talking through my vision of what I hoped it would look like, she was able to bring to life a really graceful style, complete with flowers worked in. I'm attaching pics from the occasion and I'm sure you can see what a great job she did! Amee has a very loyal client base - as many of her customers (like me) have followed her from salon to salon for years. It's so exciting to see her branched out on her own now.
