walked into this Wawa expecting convenience. What I got was a live-action documentary on the collapse of modern civilization. This location has all the charm of a gas station raccoon convention and the organizational skills of a shopping cart with a drinking problem. The floor looked like it had survived three natural disasters and a custody battle. The coffee station appeared to be conducting scientific research on new forms of life. I'm fairly certain one of the creamers achieved sentience and was considering a management position. The sandwich line moved with the urgency of a government-funded sloth rehabilitation program. By the time my order was ready, I had gone through all five stages of grief, paid off a small mortgage, and watched several customers age visibly before my eyes. The bathrooms? I've seen cleaner crime scenes. The atmosphere was fascinating. Imagine if a tornado married a yard sale and raised their children inside a convenience store. That's the energy we're working with here. The employees looked like they had collectively witnessed something so horrifying that corporate lawyers advised them never to discuss it again. At one point I made eye contact with a hot dog that looked older than some of my relatives. We shared a moment. Neither of us was happy to be there. Wawa markets itself as a convenience store, but this location is more of an endurance challenge. I didn't leave with a hoagie. I left with character development. If chaos had a corporate office, this would be the flagship location. Would I return? Only if I was being chased by a bear, and honestly, I'd ask the bear what he thought of the place first. I think the owner,ceo and whatever higher up there are to really Crack down on this location. They lie about missing items in order. Had it happen too many times for comfort.. I like this Wawa. It's very convenient. It's very easy to get in and out of. Like most Wawa's they have free air., But unlike most Wawa's their air pumps actually work and appeared to be accurate judging by my own tire pressure gauge. Very good spot open 24/7 including Christmas/Xmas and Thanksgiving! I came here during Xmas before watching a movie at AMC Garden State Plaza. I got their Philly Cheese Steak and chicken steak sandwiches, which were excellent. Packed them inside my backpack and ate it at the AMC theatre, instead of the overpriced awful food they have at the AMC theatre - & the mall food court was closed during Xmas. Please note that after 10PM, you need exact change or a CC... And if you don't want to do exact change, you have to pay inside with cash... I usually get some gas, and then drive 10 ft further and go get some snacks! Bathroom has always been clean!! This place is one of my favorite places to go for literally any meal! They're sandwiches are made fresh! And you can literally watch the sandwiches be made. Yes there is usually a line for a wait for food or drinks but I've never had to wait a ridiculous amount of time. Came here for a quick breakfast and grabbed a sour dough breakfast sandwich. It was delish! The sandwich was filled with eggs, cheddar cheese, ham, and some garlic aioli mayo on toasted sour dough bread. I finally asked and was told to use kiosk. Went to place order to find they are out of what I went for (peppermint shake). Wawa Light Death Trap Parking Lot Poorly Stocked Indifferent Employees I have visited many Wawa's in my travels but my hopes were shattered after entering this location, the place is just not up to snuff in the Wawa world. Rude employees that avoid eye contact, the coffee and fountain beverage areas are a mess and not attended to, the hot food half round open prep area is ridiculous and inefficient. The parking lot is a maze that combines blind corners, dangerous egress/regress and people loitering in large groups. Last night was the first time I experienced a Wawa in Bergen County and boy was I happy. Clean huge store with numerous selection of snacks and grab and go items. Even if you get something not made to order, they check the time stamped on it before they sell it to you and if it's too old, they wont sell it to you.
