I recommend the French Toast, the wings, the grilled chicken and shrimp salads and chicken quesadillas are all good! The deli meats are fresh. It's a "generous" 4 stars....(I started to give 3 honestly). Let me explain.... Ever have a specific taste for something?! It doesn't go away until u get exactly what u want. My first experience here I wasn't so lucky. I had a taste for a veggie (old school style) & a turkey w/cheese. When I have this craving I only need lettuce, tomato & extra mayo. We ordered 3 sandwiches (all very similar w/minor differences). It was late & we were hungry. None of the boxes were labeled to specify which sandwich is which. BIG mistake. Of course I ended up w/my friend's sandwich. We were already home & I had taken the first bite when I realized the sandwich I was eating had mustard. What if I was allergic to mustard?? Smh. Needless to say my craving wasn't satisfied because the mustard threw the flavor profile all the way off. Like any other place I try to go at least twice before doing a review, in case they had an "off day". We returned the next. I explained to this really nice guy what happened & he said not to worry he'll make it exactly how I wanted. Which he did, thank u Zack! I had also asked for sweet peppers & banana peppers on the side (didn't get those). 3 star status: Messing up someone's order, not labeling boxes to lessen confusion, not asking me if I'm ready to order so that u can finish getting the latest hood drama from the previous customer who already had their food & was on their way out of the door....all make for a poor experience. I try to support Paterson businesses as much as possible. Putting money back into the community keeps the community going. However if u don't really care abt great customer service, my money can always be spent in other communities. 4 star status: Overall the place is clean, despite food inconsistencies the food has always tasted good & fresh. Some of the guys are friendly & best of all they have all of my favorite childhood Little Debbie snacks!! Because of these things I will give them another chance. Try the Fat Tyson, you won't regret it. It is a heavy meal, but it brings me back to the days of the Rutgers grease trucks. I'd definitely recommend calling ahead for pickup, they make the food fresh so it does take them some time especially during lunch. Once I learned to call ahead it's been great. They do have limited parking in the back on Ellison Street before the building, and there is street parking past Straight Street as well. read more

The food was ok. Definitely nothing to eat late at night and sleep on . The delivery took an hour and 30 minutes and we had right call multiple times . When our food arrived it was not hot. My Goddaughter ordered the BBQ chicken over fries and my sister ordered the chicken parm which she found delightful. I ordered the shrimp combo over fries with Philly cheesesteak meat. The picture posted on yelp by another customer looked so good so I had to try it . Much to my surprise , It was not good , very salty, and the fries were dry and overcooked like they had been microwaved. Not my kind of food . Someone else may love it , not my favorite . I really tried to like this place, because I have heard so many great things about it. I waited two hours and 30 minutes for my simple order to be delivered. On top of that the driver expected to receive a tip from this order. When I refused to tip him he responded, "I will remember this address". The icing on the cake was that not only did my food take long; it was the wrong order. The sad part about it was that the food was delicious; however I can never bring myself to order from this poor establishment again. Also it is not a open 24/7 instead it close at 12 am. The food here was exceptional. In fact, I think I'd call it exquisite. Their fat sandwiches are an innovative modernization of the classic 'sub' that most of us are familiar with. One order from here was equivalent to a life contract of meals. I spend most of my time doing business in the city, yet occasionally peruse through North Jersey in search for phenomenal restaurant experiences. Zig Zagz offered me just that. Zig Zagz sandwiches were superior to any other restaurant offering similar dishes in the city. Usually order from this place and never had an issue until tonight. We ordered two sandwiches to be delivered by Uber eats. One of the sandwiches was incorrect so my husband called to see what they can do. The guy who picked up said he would call the Uber driver to bring us a new sandwich. Great. 15 minutes goes by and we call again to make sure the sandwich is on the way. The guy says it's on the way and hangs up before my husband could even say okay. An hour goes by, husband calls again the guy says it should be on the way and that he had to get one of his own drivers to bring the sandwich. My husband goes to respond and the guy hangs up on my husband again. My husband waits another half hour (total of an hour and a half now) calls to see what is happening...the guy who picks up hangs up on my husband when he says hello. My husband kept calling back and they wouldn't pick up. He tried on other phones to call and they must've had their phone disconnected so they didn't have to pick up. My husband had to physically drive there to get a new sandwich and complain to the owner who resolved the issue. Also we found out they never sent that replacement sandwich out for delivery like they said they did 2 hours ago. We are not one to complain but when you're blatantly disrespected and hung up on multiple times for something you paid for... you're going to be pissed off. This has to be the most unprofesionalism i have ever experienced. I ordered a 45 dollar order only to get my order without the drinks I asked for and when it arrived one of the burgers that included bacon had no bacon. The burger also included fries which they left out. To make it even better after calling more than 3 times to address the issue of receiving my missing items they took 3 hours to deliver them to me which by then the original burger had been cold. They tried to make up by sending me another burger with bacon but then they added less meat. The food is great but sadly I will not be ordering from here again. read more
