Upstairs we found cozier seating at a high top table with service. Downstairs I believe you have to walk up to the bar or just sit at the bar for service. I also don't believe the full beer menu is available downstairs. The menu is full of tempting toppings and styles with your choice of regular/footlong dogs, hot sausage or kielbasa. I had a hot sausage with pepper hash and coleslaw. It had a snappy skin, decent heat and was delicious when paired with the sweet coleslaw and pepper hash. My friend ordered frank and tots and reported it to be delicious and filling. My son had a regular dog and we all shared a big pretzel with beer cheese. I had an IPA named Thank Frank that was about average for a West Coast style IPA and my pal had a couple of their darker offerings that he wasn't impressed with. Our server was nice and gave a great recommendation to add the pepper hash. She wasn't the fastest at coming to check on our beers so we bailed. I had one and she never asked if I wanted another and never refilled our waters. Prices weren't too bad. I would definitely return for some more of the interesting creations on the dawg menu, but the brews are really nothing special. Good solid time here and kid friendly, not so great service or beer.

I just had to ask the first employee I saw where to go for takeout. That easily accomplished, I drove home the 15 miles; crossing the Delaware River on the Burlington-Bristol Bridge just as a cloudburst opened up. Tightened my grip, and made it home safely, managing to grab a few skinny fries along the way (crisp and nicely salted). As a first timer, I opted for their Hot Dog (lobster roll bun topped with yellow mustard, sauerkraut, onion and relish) and a Reeces Concrete (milkshake). They were both very good. The frankfurter meaty, spicy, possessing a nice snap when bitten and a solid 7 chomps to consume. The Concrete was basically a peanut butter shake with small bits of chocolate mixed with the vanilla slurry. Oh, so sweet, but perhaps not worth the calories nor the extra cost (($4+). Skip it next time. No doubt, Freddy's is a contender in the fast casual burger wars, competing with the Five Guys of the world. Higher quality than McDs, BK or Wendy's, with commensurate pricing. Many of them said things like "the service is terrible" and "this place is a mess" and "the toast was a war crime." These people must have been living in a parallel dimension, because what we experienced was very nearly delightful. My son got the Box Combo. That's four chicken fingers, a pile of fries, a slab of Texas toast, a little dish of coleslaw, and a drink. He chose sweet tea because he's no fool. He told me beforehand he didn't want the slaw. Kids these days. So I took it. I'm the father. That's what we do. He liked it all. Said the chicken was hot and tender inside. The Texas toast got a nod of approval. That means a lot from a kid who does not pull punches when it comes to food. I got the Three Finger Combo. Fewer fingers but still enough to remind you that you're alive. Fries, toast, sweet tea. No frills, just hot food done well. When the food came up, someone shouted "Hot fresh chicken for Jerry!" They weren't lying. That chicken was blistering. Had to let it cool for a minute or two before my mouth could handle it. Once I did, I found it juicy and delicious. People speak of Cane's Sauce like it's the nectar of gods. I found it fine.
