I never had cream cheese spread on the outside of a bagel before, but as it wasn't sliced open, this was the easiest way to go. The marketing about the dough and water coming from New York seemed true, as that traditional chewiness and light sweet wooden water pipe flavor were present. The market was not well stocked, except for the wall of refrigeration cases for drinks, and the video games in the front corner. No tables for eating in. Best to check before you go to be sure the bagels you want are in stock and not in transit from the Big Apple, so you are not disappointed on arrival. 3 Bagel Stars based on low inventory. There were several bakery options for those dairy-free and gluten-free and even sugar-free! They have a large selection of cheese, meats, and seafood too. Their drink stand offers ready-to-make smoothies, coffee drinks, and non-coffee drinks such as a chai frappe which I'd recommend! They also have seasonal items which sounded great. Over by the bakery corner, they offer ready-to-make crepes too. The staff was friendly and kind. I even found some fellow shoppers in the store to be friendly too! Shelves were restocked well which is saying a lot during a PANDEMIC! Checkout was very easy and quick (although I may have just been there at an ideal time of day). Overall, I'd say this store is well managed. Props to the team for making that happen! Also, for those unsure of what to expect, I'll say the following. The space is about half fresh foods/produce/made-to-order and half grocery aisles with some necessities and some specialty items mixed in. Be sure to examine the entire fresh foods area well, because otherwise there's some options that are easy to miss. They truly make best use of the space in my opinion! I only have two negatives to share: 1) the smaller parking lot with not too many spots available, which still worked for my needs. 2) a little pricier than your average grocery store (for some specialty items) but then again, I'd compare this more to a gourmet store or farm to table place where you're getting better quality and paying for it accordingly. With that said, I feel the prices are justified. Just note you would likely spend less on some items at a ShopRite, but a lot that's available here you wouldn't see in your average grocery store. Also, you'd receive better quality items (that aren't name brand) here than at your average grocery store including baked goods, fresh foods, etc. Overall, great experience!

I've mentioned in previous reviews that this location is not my favorite, I still prefer the Warminster location and that was true until I had gone recently and they moved their bakery. We had spoke to others as well who live closer to doylestown but still go to Warminster because it's just better. Maybe I'll go to Warminster when I'm in a pickle but overall I think I am done with the altomontes store. It's sad to say but this once great small business is falling and I know it will still continue to pull all the doylestown locals with $ to burn. So if you're happy serving lesser quality at exuberant costs to keep this inflated mecca Italian wonderland - so be it. But the heart of this business and the quality that Mike started is no longer. You guys really need to start paying attention to your business and stop trying to keep grow grow growing and doing all of the stuff on social media if you're not going to invest in the business and quality of what you already have. Got overcharged for pasta that literally had prices posted over all the aisles by $1 a box which sure isn't a lot but it adds up. Especially when people are budgeting and buying things by a cost. I'm just tired of spending my good hard $ at a "small business" that isn't so small any more. And forget about the quality too - I know I've posted before but the quality is not what it used to be. It's obvious they care about the bottom line then making a good product. The specials are aborrhent as others have mentioned - which as I've posted in reviews is especially sad because you see a photo of the product online and get something that doesn't even resemble the item you ordered. Its a shame that all these changes are taking away the quality and what many people loved. Sometimes it's not always best to expand and shift the business to be trendy and social media centric. Sometimes it's better to stay small and true to the original quality rather than being out of touch from the people that have quite literally helped you build your business.

Nice and homie. The market is nice, it has an elegant feel to it. If I'm ever in the area again I'd like try to the pizza!! It looked and smelled delicious.
