We purchased a Freeflow tub less than two years ago. Water started gushing out of the diverter valve a few months ago due to a manufacturing defect. Called for help and tried everything they said with no success. They said to dig out the foam and push up on the pipe to get more threads showing. Did this, it would not push up. I believe the silicone they had under the cap had been holding it on up to this point and after having it drained over summer the sun must of melted the glue. It's a nightmare to change out due to no side panel access. Tried a Dremel to trim some of the extra plastic under the cap so it would reach more threads, no luck. Tried re-gluing, blew off again after two days. Always nice enough on the phone but I feel like they should of stood behind the product since I'm sure it had deficient threads exposed from the start. Have not heard anything back from the company after last message. Finally tonight we had some success with a band-aid fix. Installed a Cherne 269913 test plug. It fit perfect. We will see how long it holds. Won't allow us to change the jets but happy to have more than a expensive water tank in our backyard! For what it's worth my co-worker bought a Marquis spa about the same time and the cover was cracking, the company just provided a new cover even post warranty. Pretty good.

Well, my 8-person Hot Springs Gleam which I have meticulously maintained was just craned out of my backyard after 4 years. Seems like the leak I discovered can't be fixed without the tub being shipped back to Watkins. Multiple attempts to fix onsite failed, resulting in much of the wooden frame being soaked and damaged. Some of it was cut away in a repair attempt, which will necessitate a frame repair as well. My family has now missed significant hot tub "season" in Las Vegas (which isn't that long). No word on when it may return. I fear that the transport may cause other problems that might not have arisen if the tub could have been fixed on site. Being craned out, driven to California, worked on, driven back to Nevada, craned again, etc...just can't be good on the system. My current rating reflects my angst with this situation. I'll update this rating when the tub returns and I assess the repair and how Watkins handles it as well as how Watkins intends to protect against any possible future issues that might be attributable to this extreme repair since my warranty is fast expiring. On the day of our delivery, after we started filling our tub in the evening, there was water leaking from the tub. They sent a service technician the next morning who repaired a disconnected air hose. Joe, was outstanding! Found the problem, fixed it quickly and then spent extra time going over how to use the hot tub and how to add the chemicals. I am impressed overall with the salesmanship and the service that quickly followed when needed! You should consider them if you are looking to buy a hot tub!!

Disappointing Service from Owner Despite Years of Satisfaction…read moreWe've owned our Caldera Spa from The Spa & Patio for several years and have been very happy with it. When we discovered a leak just before our warranty expired in December, we called for service. The technician confirmed the leak and suggested we remove the insulation ourselves to expedite the repair, which we did. We quickly located the problem: a leaking 3-inch PVC fitting. When we called to schedule the repair, we were told it wouldn't be covered under warranty due to evidence of rodent droppings. While I understand denying coverage for damage caused by rodents (like chewed hoses), this was a large 3-inch PVC fitting--clearly a workmanship issue, not rodent damage. Regardless, we were willing to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. That's when owner Ian called (when I spoke with him I was unaware he was the owner). Rather than schedule the repair, he advised us to hire a local handyman because his technician would charge us for probably around $1,300 "or more." The technician was prepared to come out when Ian called him back and questioned why we were proceeding with the repair. I was shocked that the owner actively discouraged us from using his own service. We canceled and hired a local professional who was supportive, knowledgeable, and completed the repair quickly for one-third of the quoted price. He shared with us the leak was due to shoddy work when the spa was made, not the work of a rodent. After years as satisfied customers of the spa we purchased from them, this experience was deeply disappointing. A business owner should stand behind their products and support their customers--not turn them away.

Thank You! v--- Excerpt from my old post ---v Via "Hot Tub Supply Store", my initial order and delivery was great! * I'd rate it a 5-STAR. I got the brand new parts I ordered in a timely delivery. However, I realized that I had ordered the wrong circ pump and the website did mention no returns on circ pumps and DCU's. So I sent an email to the appropriate email account on Dec. 2nd requesting the possibility of an "exchange" for the right pump. 10 days went by with no reply, and the Hot Tub Supply Store doesn't list a phone number I can't call to speak to a person or leave a vm. * So that is a 1-STAR rating for getting back to the customer. Exchange, no exchange, no returns aside, they just didn't even get back in-touch while I have an empty Jacuzzi waiting for a pump replacement. To be clear, the low rating is for no response. What really stood out was his ability to think beyond the obvious--he brought up several ideas and design elements that I hadn't even considered, which added a lot of value to the consultation. I've met with several pool companies, and Richard is by far the most knowledgeable and thoughtful professional I've encountered. Go with Majestic Pools if you'd like to be cursed at and have legal action threatened…read more The first time I met with Richard Ham (sales rep) at our house, he feigned interest in my newborn daughter and touched her. This made my wife uncomfortable due to the risk of germs and, in my opinion, the creepiness of a stranger touching our baby. We did continue with the company because we didn't feel like starting the search over and assumed that once construction began, we wouldn't be dealing with Richard. I explained exactly what we wanted and even showed him a photo (and explained the size and purpose). The company pulled permits and later sent us a rendering that wasn't what we wanted. I scheduled a follow up meeting to discuss the issue. Richard said he could "squeeze us in" between other appointments. Before he arrived, my wife and I went into the yard to discuss the project. We realized they simply weren't understanding our vision, and it didn't seem worth the time to keep trying to explain it. I was about to text Richard when he pulled up. I went outside to let him know we would not be proceeding with the pool. His response: "Why the f**k didn't you tell me before I got here?" In my opinion, he then stormed off like a child. I reached out to his boss to let him know that such behavior was incredibly unprofessional, and the language was unacceptable. I explained that I am also a business owner and that employees are not just a reflection of the company, but the owner. Instead of acknowledging or addressing the issue, he told me Richard lives in Palm Desert--as if he had made the drive specifically for us and that somehow it would justify his behavior. The owner called me today (a week later), briefly acknowledging Richard's behavior before saying he wants to bill me for permit costs and time. I already paid a non-refundable $1,000 deposit. He told me, "I don't have to let you out of the contract," and said he has legal recourse and could place a lien on my home. He also let me know he would respond to any review I left. At the end of the day, Majestic Pools was hired to provide a service they failed to deliver to our expectations. They also employ a salesman who acts in a creepy and foul-mouthed manner. Even if we had been difficult customers who required more time than expected or had left them high and dry, that still wouldn't excuse bad, unprofessional behavior and now legal threats.
