Small yard? No worries, Brookside has your back!…read more If you buy new construction these days you can pretty much kiss that yard space goodbye. Finding ourselves in this situation, we needed a team that could transform our "cozy" yard into a comfortable yet elevated outdoor living space. Enter Brookside. You know that feeling when you hire someone to do a big home project and hope that everything goes well, but you kind of hold your breath in the event that something goes awry? That won't happen with Brookside. From our initial call to the thanks-for-everything completion hand shake, they didn't skip a beat. Everything went SO smooth and communication was on point the entire time. Brookside is a well oiled machine. The conversations between us, Brooks and Jenny, and the crew were fluid the entire time and no one was ever in the dark about the plan. On top of that, everyone was so personable and professional. These guys are hard workers and leave your space clean and organized at the end of every day. We were so happy with how our space turned out. Brookside took our basic ideas for hardscape and softscape to the next level and created a beautiful designer yard. We would hire Brookside again in a heartbeat- and you should too!

Our in-person consultations and design confirmation schedule were very helpful from week to week. The work timeline was on schedule. The main crew; Ishmael, Jorge and Carlos were professional, hard working and punctual. Everything was properly managed, including the demo, removal of yard waste and final clean up. Thank you!

As issues came up (permit delays, grumpy neighbor, too tall chair ordered on my part), they helped us navigate it all and offered support even when they didn't need to The subcontractors they used to dig, build a large retaining wall, install turf, build the patio, install the pergola, and lay lots and lots of rocks were wonderful--nice, patient, and hard-working. The whole team even took an old playhouse and redesigned it safely for our kids on the hill. Matt's design, attention to detail, and the time he took with our project was above and beyond. He answered every call and text quickly. I couldn't have asked for more. I've already recommended SD3D to all of my neighbors, and recommend them for small or large projects.

He was borderline harassing me to call for a quote and when I had my husband call he said that he couldn't take on the work because he didn't have time. He stole my number off of his caller ID and wrote it down and passed it along to another company without my permission after my husband hung up on him when he recommended another contractor and when my husband asked if they had a yelp page and if they had reviews he said they had bad reviews because of the algorithm. Then this other company started texting and calling me. I can find my own contractors with good reviews thank you very much. If you don't want the work then please stop harassing me. It wasn't a complex job, but the the site was a giant mess, with a lot of overgrowth and debris. Michael's bid was well within my budget, and he was able to schedule the job for a time that was convenient for me. He also offered clear explanations about why the work would best be done a certain way. When it came to the work itself, his crew was outstanding. They arrived on time, kept on schedule, and cleaned up the site at the end of every work day. I have never seen such an organized, well managed job site. They were truly exemplary in all respects, but especially in regards to the quality of their work. When it comes time to replace my fence, my patio cover, or my driveway, I will definitely call Michael.

We had an excellent experience with Pacific Landscaping and Maintenance from beginning to end…read more Michael arrived on time for our initial appointment, and his estimate was the most competitive we received without cutting any corners. In fact, his proposal included everything needed to properly prepare and establish a healthy lawn, while other estimates we received were significantly more expensive and included less. Michael recommended St. Augustine grass because we have a large dog, and within a week, his team was ready to start the project. He explained the entire process ahead of time and gave me detailed guidance about the watering schedule, mowing schedule, and recommended equipment for maintaining the new lawn. The crew was amazing--efficient, professional, polite, and extremely hardworking. Carlos, the crew lead, was especially impressive. He is calm, knowledgeable, and very detail-oriented. He listened carefully to every concern I had and made sure everything was addressed properly. The project was completed ahead of schedule, and they even installed a fence that we provided to protect the new lawn from foot traffic and our dog while it gets established. The finished lawn looks absolutely beautiful. The new sprinkler system is quiet, efficient, and works perfectly. They used new, quality materials and clearly did not cut corners anywhere in the project. After comparing several companies and estimates, I am very happy that we chose Pacific Landscaping and Maintenance. We received a better, more complete project at a very competitive price. Michael, Carlos, and the entire crew exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend them!

And now they've canceled my service "effective immediately" because I've reviewed them honestly and as to my personal experience ... unprofessional. I guess that's what you get when you give feedback on overcharging. Someone who can't take the feedback and instead cuts tie. The owners use every opportunity to rip you off. I swear every single month there's some additional charge for something. Then they quote one price and charge another. The final straw was the excessive credit card fees they charge acknowledging it's the "cost of doing business". But they inflate the charges they are actually paying. Do not recommend. Also while the pool service person is fine he definitely doesn't spend enough time on the pool. Happy to be moving on to another company.
