We had Tony with Extreme Pools demo our old pool (which was put in a terrible location, was surrounded by rotted out decking, and was sliding down the hill) and install a new double edge infinity pool that will probably still be standing several centuries from now lol (footings go down 25 feet or so and the entire structure is concrete with more trunkfuls of concrete than you can possibly imagine). Tony was easy to work with, prompt about addressing any issues that arose, and his team worked longer and harder days than our general remodeling team. The pool itself took much longer than anticipated (they had to work in conjunction with our general remodel team and that delayed things considerably since our general remodel team's goal seems to be to bankrupt us and to never finish lol), but we are very happy with the our new pool and hot tub. read more

After removing our old lap pool we needed an honest pool builder to build for us. The pool we built was a difficult project (infinity edge with parameter-flow) with difficult access as well. We had to remove 6 palm trees, climb a very steep grade with the equipment, Etc. Tony was great to work with as we were an owner/builder team. This was a tough project which required a lot of thought. Tony knows everyone in the business and brought forth some great ideas as well as his great sub-contracters. Tony from Extreme pools did our swimming pool demo and overall the entire experience was frustrating. The good: Tony and Donny completed the job so they get 2 stars, and they are talented when it comes to demolition. Tony handles heavy equipment well and demolished concrete right next to my home foundation with only one scrape on the stucco. Donny got the pool filter, lights and pumps disconnected and hauled away quickly with no issues. They have good knowledge of their equipment and the demo process and work quickly. The not good: Overall Tony has been doing construction for a long time - so long that he is certain his way is THE way and that everyone else should just accept that. But he has forgotten that for his customers, this is probably their first experience with major construction, and they have concerns. One major difference between good and poor customer satisfaction depends on how much empathy, communication and customer service the construction team has. We had to ask 3 times for a contract, and Tony only sent it after we insisted work would not start without it. Honestly, we should have got the hint the first day when we was loudly complaining on the phone about a different customer not wanting to work with Extreme Pools anymore. During construction we knew some irrigation lines near the pool would be broken, and we asked Tony before starting to just tell us where so we could repair them ourselves keep our yard from flooding when the sprinklers turn on. He tore up irrigation and critical gutter drainage lines nowhere near the pool, then he tried to hide them instead of telling us, then he tried to claim our irrigation lines were "illegally buried" so it wasn't his fault. He assured us he would hand-break the concrete around our barbeque and then changed his mind and started to use the heavy CAT Hydraulic Breaker instead. When we went outside to remind him to hand break that section, he complained that would take longer. At one point in that conversation, he literally screamed "if you're not happy we can leave right now" while my husband was trying to de-escalate Tony's tantrum. On one of the final days, we pointed out a critical drainage line which drains the roof gutters. We asked that the line be preserved and marked it with a wooden post. He agreed that they could work around it then literally MINUTES later he backed the Bobcat into the pole marking where the pipe opening was and shattered the pipe. Then he left in a hurry and didn't say a thing. The whole time he acted like he owned our yard and that we were just obstacles between him and his money. Any request we made that required him to slow down, get out of the bobcat or exercise caution was outright rejected or ignored. He tossed cigarette butts all over the yard (which I had to pick up to keep our dog from trying to eat) and was stopping work every 20 minutes or so to take a phone call or text someone. We were originally planning on having his team install pavers for us to give him more business, but when we asked Tony for the paver estimate he grumpily says, "I'm not sure I want to work with you anymore." Ok fine, point taken. We request estimates from other companies. Well, Tony shows up at our home unannounced while we were getting another paver estimate, calls one of his buddies and starts loudly yelling about how f'ed up the situation is. We didn't want things to happen that way, but Tony never told us when he was showing up and never showed up before 11 AM until that day. When we approached him to say we weren't going with him for pavers, he claimed we were the once causing issues and that we were haggling prices when we never once questioned or disagreed with his pricing. Then he asked for final payment before they had finished the yard cleanup! We had to tell him we would submit final costs as soon as all his cleanup was done and he was gone, as we were legitimately concerned that he would damage our yard out of revenge. When he left, he flipped the breakers to half of our solar panels after disconnecting the pool pump - even though all the breakers are very clearly labeled. Luckily our system gives error notifications, so we turned them and a few other random flipped breakers back on right after he left. I suspect he was trying to get nondestructive revenge so he could "punish us" without us noticing and still get paid. read more

The owner can to my home to give a bid. We walked to my back yard and he had a small planner in his hand and that's it. Not tape measure camera, tools I would assume would be needed to give an accurate bid. We talked for about 10 minutes. I liked some of his ideas and he said he's send a bid over the weekend. After a couple weeks went by I emailed to double check. I want in a rush but excited about getting a pool. He said he'd be super busy so give him a couple weeks and he'll get a bid. Well that was 2 months ago. No contact Just unprofessional. At least say you aren't interested. His cocky attitude from the beginning should have been a sign. read more
