I received a few bids and felt very comfortable working with Terra Firma from the moment I met them. They explained the entire process to me and made me feel like I was working with a partner. Getting HOA approval for our designs was a long process and Terra Firma was with me every step of the way, once we got approval they broke ground right away and the build out was very quick. The project was a pretty large one with a pool, hot tub, bbq area, front and back yard, dog run and large recreational area. Not only did we stick to budget but Terra Firma finished early and the workmanship was amazing. I am so glad that I was able to work with Brett and his team, I would recommend them to anyone looking to have work done in their yard.

They showed up early and they are very meticulous with everything. These guys are incredible and brilliant!! They built the firepit and bbq area from scratch! As well as the square steps in the middle! Amazing work! Addie met up with us to help us make our choices for the pavers, rocks, fireglass and plants. She made everything smooth and overall a very positive experience. We have before and after pics so we won't forget the labor of love they put in to make this house our oasis. Not only could he do every single thing, his price was better than we expected. From the first day he came to the house, until the last day he and his crew worked, they have been simply THE BEST! They work hard, they show up 6 days a week, and say "yes" to everything we ask of them. Pedro is a great resource and will give his ideas about things if we are confused or unsure. We came across an issue with our gas line, and thought we were at a dead end, needing to wait for months for SDG&E to come, but Pedro thought of a great bypass solution and was able to pull it off without changing any of the original design we wanted or the project timeline. Pedro showed up at our house several times a week to check on his team, and worked himself on parts of our project alongside his team. His team is a group of respectful and hardworking men and it was a pleasure to get to know them over the two months they came to our home. First off, when I began searching for turf companies I was bombarded with offers and estimates, I think we initially had about 12 estimates ( I saved some if anyone wants to see how ridiculously expense some other companies are!). I came to hear about WEST Construction through a neighbor who had said that they did her backyard about 7 years ago, and she's still in love with it. I contacted the office and asked if they serviced my area, because their website and YELP say they are based in the San Diego area. The office assistant told me that they service all of Southern California and that they actually work in Nevada and Washington as well. After speaking with her for a few minutes to get the feel of the process, we schedule an on site consultation and set a date. When the salesman arrived he was very polite, professional, and courteous of my dog. He was even wearing an ID badge that was scannable with my iPhone so I could pull up his info and verify who he worked for. This alone made me feel %100 safe and secure. The whole process took about an hour (we have a large back yard) and he was able to thoroughly go through each of his samples and explain each one and make a few suggestions as what would work best with my yard and pet. I liked that he didn't try to oversell me on any one product, he just gave me a professional recommendation and not a personal preference. After I selected a product we chatted for a few minutes about my current landscape and this and that. I had a formal estimate within 2 days. I was still sorting through my pile of estimates so I told Dave ( the sales man) I would get back to him as soon as I had finished looking things over. To be honest, they weren't the cheapest, but they weren't the most expensive either! I ended up choosing WEST Construction based on the outstanding service I was presented with, and because I was able to verify all of their license information and I was able to see first hand the work they had done before. They were able to explain every detail in their estimate and every cost and made me feel comfortable with them. Other companies just seemed like they were throwing numbers at me and because I am woman they were hoping I'd take it. I didn't, and I called back WEST and told them I'd sign with them. Now to the actual job at hand.My total yard was just under 2,300 SF and I had some serious weeds and holes from my dog! The crew began the excavation on a Monday and they were done and packed up at the end of the day on Thursday. I think they left my property cleaner than it was before they arrived. I won't say I was watching their every move, but I was paying attention, and I knew what I wanted to see get done. There wasn't a time when I noticed anyone just standing around. Everyone seemed to have a specific task to perform and it all flowed quite nicely. I can't thank the guys enough for the work they did. Top notch service all around. If anyone wants to know more about my experience please just ask, these guys rock!
