So NOM! Everything on the menu is delicious. Great happy hour. And the staff is so friendly. I wish I took photos of the upstairs patio.. it's so beautiful. Great place to get a drink and meal on Main Street Louisville. This is a great bar to visit any day of the week. They treat you like family which I know is hard to find sometimes. I will come in solo and feel totally comfortable.. everyone knows each other and are so welcoming. They smoke their own brisket... and other shit. Enough said. Just go.

Came here after the Louisville Festival of Lights, what a friendly and fun atmosphere! We loved the balcony upstairs and how well decorated the place is for the holidays. Went with the filet which was cooked perfectly and paired very well with the mashed potatoes and asparagus. I loved the sauce it came with too, one of the better steaks I've had out here. Our server recommended the special cookie and ice cream which I got and was immediately wowed by. Perfect end to the meal. Our server was very friendly and frequently checked in despite it being very busy! Love this spot and you need to check it out if you're in Louisville.

Great place for libations and dinner. Very casual dining experience. Service was fast and friendly and establishment was clean. I had the Adult Corn Dogs with Caesar Salad and Fried Okra. Okra was typical battered-type but acceptable and the Caesar Salad good. Corn Dogs were perhaps the best I'd ever had, not the type you get in a gas station for sure! When in Louisville, well worth the stop.

Girlfriend and I stopped by for dinner. I opted for a normal burger, it was great! Cooked exactly the way I wanted it. For my side I picked the mac & cheese. Let me tell you something. If you go anywhere else and order a 'side' of mac & cheese they give you the tiniest ramequin of the side. Waterloo will fill up the rest of your plate with mac & cheese, I was delighted to see a nice portion of mac & cheese. Girlfriend got the Fuego burger and she loved it too. She also got a massive side of fries, so we were both happy. Service was great too. We arrived and were seated within 5 minutes. Multiple people stopped by to make sure we were all taken care of throughout our time there. The inside looks wonderful as well. Guitars and other music/band related things are on the walls. When you first walk in you're greeted with an autograph from Johnny Cash, which is freaking awesome. It has the feel of a Hard Rock Cafe without the Hard Rock cafe. It's much more chill - and that's a great thing - after all the place is inspired by a record label. Come by, have a drink, and enjoy a meal!

It was at this moment I knew I had to visit Texas before heading back to Vegas. I need to see if all my friends who have been pushing me to go there to find my wife are wrong. I know now I can never deal with the cold, and my house has to be located in a purple or solid red state. I would have been in Texas sooner but their cannabis laws scare the shit out of me. I get hurt too often with extreme sports and avoid opioids. My inner child likes to take a stack of edibles and play in Area 15 too. I'll never get old. Still debating if I should settle down, but no one has been worth it. My journey will take me through Dallas, Midland, and Austin. I can't wait to see friends I haven't seen in ages, and sample as much BBQ and tacos my stomach can handle. I plan on joining Lifetime Fitness too when I'm there to keep off the weight. I'm down 15 pounds as of today, another 10 to break 200. What about @waterloolouisville? I've been here twice now for the brisket sandwich and never skip their fried pickles. Having a conversation with the creator from Texas was icing on the cake. It's the most authentic spot I've found around town and their rooftop deck is perfect for dates and live music when it's not freezing cold. If you're passing through add it to your list. To my friends in the great state I'll be seeing you soon!

The service was wonderful and they accommodated our hunger needs, even with the kitchen closing in 5 minutes. Great ambiance too. The blood orange margarita graced my lips with perhaps the most vivid explosion of citrus I've tasted since the halftime oranges the soccer moms would bring to AYSO soccer games as a kid. This review would be 4 stars if it weren't for the grilled avocado dish...

Great service! Nice ambiance! Had a Blood Orange Margarita! Simply outstanding. A great place for a cocktail. Food was mediocre at best. Ordered a burger, fries and onion rings. Burger while cooked the perfect temperature had no flavor at all. Bun could use some steam or grilling. Dry dry bun. Frys were not edible and the onion rings came out cold and unspectacular. Good place to drink but maybe do not expect much in terms of food.

I came for brunch with a friend. I was greeted promptly and the place wasn't too busy. They had a separate brunch menu from their regular menu. I ordered. Their waffle with eggs and chorizo. I was a little disappointed to find a half of a dry waffle was what was presented. The flavor was actually really good but it was overcooked. The eggs I asked to be scrambled with the chorizo. I was thinking it wasn't going to be what I got. It was ok. It didn't taste or look like chorizo to me. The frustrating thing was at the end I was charged extra for chorizo and that was included as one of the choices of the dish and not listed as an extra charge. They corrected it but it was embarrassing to have to ask. I don't know if I'll be back.

    Fried pickles, spicy margarita

I absolutely love Waterloo. Despite living in Boulder, this was always my go-to restaurante spot whenever people came to town. They have a rotating menu but something that's always on the menu is their spicy margaritas - which are drinkable but actually spicy, I wouldn't recommend it if you don't like a kick. I've had several of their sandwiches, all of which have been delicious - burgers included. Their sweet potato friends are amazing, sometimes if my meal doesn't come with them (which you can substitute), I'll order a side. The food is good year round, but they have fun rooftop patio seating in the summer months.

    Happy hour street taco.

Bartenders, servers, cooks don't miss! Bartenders are knowledgeable about beer, food, ingredients. Servers are attentive and friendly and cooks put it down every single time. I have never had a bad experience here, I've been here when it's slow, I've been here when it's busy. Always on it. As my kids would say, this place is bussin'

I really enjoyed this spot. I love the whole ambiance and location. I generally don't care for fried pickles but these were the best I have ever had and the nachos were pretty fantastic. I also love soup and the bowl I had as an appetizer was also excellent. Give me a half gallon of that and I don't even need anything else other than the pickles. The service was great as well and we felt well taken care of. I was in town visiting my brother and hope to be back frequently so I'm guessing I'll be back again when I return.

They provided a varied menu with incredibly unique and delicious drinks with an upscale yet cozy vibe inside. However our last visit was anything but. Supposedly they've made the decision to drop the entire "old menu" as the bartender called it in favor for an uninspired and honestly boring Christmas menu with drinks that weren't even remotely on the level of their previous offerings. Yet the prices were actually higher than their standards. This current menu feels like something you'd pay $11 for at a dive or chain restaurant. After a relatively long wait for service, we ordered 3 drinks, having to repeat ourselves multiple times to the hostess that didn't seem to have any clue of what their drinks were called. Of the 3, none of them included the garnishes that were outlined in the menu, and one drink was completely wrong. We were allowed to keep it and had it replaced at no cost at least, but even the replacement did not have the correct garnish per the menu. I'm praying this place didn't sell out and it's just in some strange transition period between seasons but I won't be returning to check until some time after the new year and these awful drinks are gone. For now, go to Nora's.

The decorations were a little shotty and at one point someone stood on the bar to plug in the lights. There was a sandpit outside where the band was playing and swinging chairs at the bar. The first drinks that I got- the one in the coconut- was basically an expensive cup of ice. There was VERY little drink in here. After about two sips, it tasted like sweet ice water. Last year, the bartender basically poured us like 3/4 drinks for free after our time. This year was much of the same. You make reservations for a time, it's like $5 each and you get a nice table. However, the website doesn't allow for single reservations. If you go in nice as a single, on a quieter night, you can usually grab a table if one is left inside. Or, they have a ton of (chilly) outdoor seating. The whole place is decorated to hell; it's pretty awesome for small town living outside Boulder. There's plenty of pictures to be had. The glassware is amazing too, lots of designs great for the photo. One hiccup- you're paying for the glitz. It's $8/shot and $16 for each drink. But, they're tasty and generally get the job done. Let me just say as well, the guys working tonight were beyond awesome. Two of them were working both the bar and front of house, and basically just going non stop for hours. Good for them. Both were costumed and very! friendly and didn't show any signs of frustrations. The eggnog shot is awesome, smooth and sweet and gets you going. I've had the Cricket (green minty drink), the Elf-int Around, a mulled wine type cocktail, and the Jingle Balls Nog. Each was great in its own way. I think if you stick to these three, it won't be too crazy. They have almost a dozen options-you pay for it, but to be honest, it's fun to spend a little extra on some holiday cheer!

The place looks festive, all decorated for the Holidays with thousands of lights, candy canes, trees and reindeers. There are individual heated greenhouses, and plenty of tables under two big tents. The atmosphere is over the top kitschy and fun. Since we were a group of 10, the greenhouses were too small so we were seated under one of the tents. We had made reservations (there is a mandatory $5 fee going to a local charity) and were ready for the cold, with coats and blankets, just in case. We were surprised that it was far from full, we actually were the only ones parked under the big tent, just a few greenhouses were occupied. We enjoyed the cocktails, not cheap at $14 each but tasty an strong, all made specially for the season with flavors such as nutmeg, marshmallow, vanilla... The menu is limited, focused on cocktails with a few wines and beer, a couple snacks. I had the Christmapolitan (with vodka, elderflower, vermouth, spiced cranberry sauce, lime, rosemary and absinthe mist) yummy! The popcorn was disappointing though, it came in a bag (like the ones you pop in the microwave, except the package was more like Holiday wrapping paper). It definitively was not fresh, tasted a little stale. After a while, despite our coats we were getting really cold and asked our waiter if he could switch on the fireplace next to us. Too bad, we were told that it's for show, the regulations don't allow them to use it. There was no heat under that big tent and it was getting chilly. Overall, that night, despite the decorations, our group felt a little lost under that huge tent. I bet it feels totally different when it's packed, but during the week it was a little dead. There is a 20% discount for groups that they forgot about. When we asked about it, it became impossible to get checks separate per couple. Supposedly the system is not set up for it. When we left, our impression was that when you include the mandatory $5 reservation fee, it's adds up to an expensive drink that's not really worth it. And we were cold! Once again, it might be a very different experience during weekends. If you want to get a souvenir, no worries, it's all setup for it, you can buy glassware and gifts. This was not my idea of a fun evening, and I don't think I'll go back.

The servers were friendly and due to it being a slow time of day, it took a bit for someone to get to us, but we weren't in a hurry so it was all good. I would definitely try this one again.

I completely don't remember what everyone ordered but I DO remember all the things I tried at the table. Tater Tots - parmesan & chives / house onion sour cream - nothing outstanding about this but the kids/teens/young adults LOVED it and may have inhaled it in one breath. Roasted Cauliflower - saffron cream / chermoula / sumac / miso aioli / crispy onion - the saffron cream was a nice touch of essence and the crispy onion brought a good sweetness and texture to the dish. Honey Bourbon Wings - fried chicken wings / honey bourbon glaze / dill pickles - this was FABULOUS, good fry, not burnt and the glaze was perfect, not ooey gooey sticky, just sticky to the touch. Wild Boar Bucatini - wild boar ragu / cured egg yolk / parmesan / chives - this was my dinner order. I'm always excited when there's bucatini on the menu. It just holds enough sauce in the hollows to satisfy me. The ragu was cooked well, good sauce maybe it needed just a little pinch more of salt for my liking. Parking in the neighborhood is not difficult. We had an airbnb down the street and walked here in less than 5 minutes. There's indoor and outdoor seating as well as a covered patio-ish area. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Lafayette!
