This is for Customer Order Number FN5665198 for Suzanne & Alan M., San Diego,CA We had a new (replacement) 50 Gal Water Heater Installed by WaterHeatersOnly on 01/09/2017 in San Diego,CA, This company had been requested by our Fidelity Home Warranty Company (Also an excellent company for Home Warranty Coverage & Service) which covered repair/replacement service on our 20+ year-old water heater that was rusted out and leaking. The service provided by this Company was OUTSTANDING! There were 2 technicians, and JIM (sorry no last name available) was the person in charge. (Sorry, I forgot the name of his very capable assistant tech). We had called Fidelity late on a Sunday afternoon, and received a call from WHO within 2 hours and set up an appointment for 10:00 -11:30 am on Monday morning. They had a last minute cancellation that morning and called to see if 8:30 am would work and of course it did. Jim and his assistant arrived and inspected the 20+ year old heater and realized it was years beyond its life expectancy. They recommended replacement, as we expected. Jim called Fidelity, and authorization for a replacement was approved within 15 minutes. Fortunately, I had given the specific broken heater model information to the HOW person who called Sunday evening, and the tech's had brought with them a replacement heater of similar specifications. (Thus, they avoided having to get one and return at a later time or day). The replacement was one of a better quality & efficiency than our old one. While they were waiting for the expected authorization to come through, they began to remove the old heater ... didn't waste a minute. After the removal and preparing the site for the new installation, they completed the entire job including new gas and water connections (at a small extra charge not covered by the Home Warranty), in less than 2 hours. They needed some additional small gas & water parts/connections, etc, and had everything they could possible have needed on the truck with them. We were amazed at their efficiency & speed, as well as the high quality of work they did. When the job was completed, Jim took about 10 additional minutes to go over all of the features of the heater, what maintenance I should be doing on it, and how to re-ignite the burner should it go off. He answered several questions in easy to understand detail. Jim and his assistant thoroughly cleaned up everything in the areas they worked in, and even wiped down the entire heater ... leaving the site clean and shining! We had nothing to clean up afterwards and we had hot water at 120 degrees within 45 minutes...ready for my wife who was waiting patiently to take a shower before noon. This team was very knowledgeable, obviously very experienced, courteous, clean-working and very thorough on every aspect of the installation. They definitely exceeded our expectations and we unequivocally highly recommend them for any and all water heater service and replacement. Recently my Propane water heater started leaking and was in need of immediate replacement. This water heater is part of a two tank solution for my solar hot water system and is fed by a large storage tank that gets heated by the solar panels and pre-charges the smaller water heater that feeds the house. With that said, energy efficiency is EXTREMLY important to me. I always get at least three bids so that I can asses both the cost AND the competency of the contractor. Of all the people I called, including the plumber who I had worked with for may years and who had in fact installed the unit I was replacing, only Water Heaters Only was truly responsive to my requests and inquiries. In point of fact, Matt, was the ONLY one who said, "I completely understand... this is not how most people go about this, but this is how I would do approach the process". Every one else was only interested in their personal agenda and the specific water heaters THEY wanted to sell, regardless of performance or my needs. On this basis I gave them the contract OVER my long term plumbing contractor. What was more, the installer, Jim G., not only contacted me in advance to let me know the exact time he was going to show up on the job site, but also was nothing but cordial, efficient, and cooperative the whole time he was at my site. In point of fact, I placed a follow up call the next day over a specific solder joint in the system that I was concerned about and he contacted me immediately to follow up. It turned out it was only a venting joint that was never under any pressure, so it was a non-issue. Once again.. professional, cooperative, and supportive of my requests instead of dismissing me off hand. I just had my water heater replaced through the home warranty company Fidelity. They sent out Waters Heaters Only to look at what the problem was. There was a pin hole leak in the water heater and it was leaking on to the area where it sits which is a drywall stand attached to the wall.. I read the review of the disgruntled customer who had to work with the home warranty company and was upset he had to pay for additional items. First off it does not matter how old a house is, 9 years old or 5, things fail regardless of age. So when you are a professional company and you are held to the letter of the law, you have to do things by the book, like get permits and replace things that are outdated. If things are not done properly they are responsible to make it right and of course hold the liability. I do not like having to pay for upgrades but sometimes they are necessary. Derek was just out and he did a fantastic job on the new water heater install. It is better than it was before and now has a catching pan so that the walls don't get wet when there is a leak in the future. I would use this company again if I needed service. Having a home warranty still saved me a ton of money and I am very happy with the work that Derek provided. He was polite, friendly, professional and did great work, even letting me hoover him while he was working. (you can always learn a thing or two by watching) Once installed, there was a slight leak on one of the fittings and he came back right away and replaced the entire thing. I investigated water heaters and repair companies on the internet after coming back off vacation and finding my heater leaking. I quickly decided that 'Water Heaters Only' appeared to be the most competent and well respected in the San Diego area. Paul gave me a very reasonable estimate over the phone after I described the installation and equipment. To my surprise he said that he could send somebody over within a couple of hours that same afternoon, 5/19/2011, to carry out the removal of the old heater and perform the installation of a new one. Sure enough, a couple of hours later Derek arrived in his van, having called ahead to let me know the schedule, with all the equipment necessary to perform the work. He proved to be extremely competent and got right to work. Even though the job proved to be a little more difficult than had been expected, he assured me that the quoted price would not change. He had the job done in a little over two hours, which also included draining the old tank. He left the area tidier than he had found it, removing all the old equipment and trash. So thankful for Water Heaters Only, especially after dealing w/ Bill Howe and Home Depot. Bill Howe technician tried one thing I asked about because I saw it on YouTube, said it didn't work, and told me it'd be about $3000 to replace my water heater. I held and went to HD the next day, Saturday. I arranged replacement for about $2200 with the company they use, but they canceled last minute because the were behind on other calls and wouldn't be able to come until Monday, but I wouldn't have been available. Luckily I called Water Heaters only next and talked to Cyrus. With just the serial number he was able to tell me they could probably repair and not have to replace the water heater. They almost had to cancel too because someone was out, but Connie in the office moved some things around for me. John arrived at 5pm Sunday and cheerfully did a full tune up, including replacing the gas controller, on my water heater. Saved me so much money and actually got the job done! read more

I phoned several heater replacement companies, getting verbal estimates to replace my 50 gallon gas water heater. I finally found "Water Heaters Only" in the "Yellow Pages". Their estimate was at leat $150. less than the next lowest Company. They tol;d me that they could have comeone install a heater between 12 and 2PM the same day (I phoned them at 9:30. I received a call later from Jim Gates (the installer). He said that he could arrive at about 12:15, if I would be home. He arrived exactly on time. He told me the install would take about an hour and thirty minutes. His estimate was almost right on, and the installation appeared perfect. When he handed me the bill, it was within 10 dollars of phone estimate. Could not have had a better experience. I will recommend them to anyone!!! The number was given to us by our home warranty company and I admit I was a little leery as we had a not so great experience with a previous referral the warranty company gave us. Overall, I was extremely happy with the service we received. Self admitting, I am a little type A and ask a lot of questions. I also do my research. To surmise, they came out within hours of our call. The water heater was broken beyond repair but they were able to set us up with another one the following morning. They were on time and very efficient. We also ended up adding a recirculatating water pump for some additional monies and the fee was reasonable based on research I did. My name is James Edwards and our water heater went from a seeper to a leaker on 3/3/18. After calling around, we ended up going with Water Heaters Only, and they were able to send a technician out that same afternoon. Pat showed up a half hour early, worked quickly and efficiently, and was pleasant the whole time. The final price was a little higher than the phone quote, but only because Pat had to tweak a few things to bring it up to code. After the work was finished, Pat went through the operation of our new water heater with us and didn't leave until he was sure we didn't have any more questions. When my wife told me we had no hot water and I couldn't see anything wrong with our water heater, I googled for companies who repair water heaters. Water Heaters Only said they would come out that day (Sunday) and take a look and present an offer based upon what they found. Because our water heater was over 11 years old, and had a small leak, they suggested a replacement. Pat, the technician had a new 50 gallon water heater with him. I had already done some price comparing and agreed to have him replace our unit. On two occasions we have had to replace defective and leaking water heaters at properties we maintain. On both occasions, your technician, Danny, installed the replacements. Both of the homes are older with much of the original plumbing. For the first replacement, Danny took the time to remove and clean up an array of pipes and valves left over from an abandoned solar heating system. When the job was completed it looked neat and tidy and we were very satisfied with the work. We were delighted when Danny showed up for the second replacement. I was tremendously impressed with the quality of service I received from my initial phone call to the installation process. Naturally, my water heater started to leak late afternoon on a Saturday. The operator instructed me over the phone how to shut off the water valve (not hard at all), and Matt was at my house within 40 min., as promised. Matt did an exceptional job. In addition to his professionalism, he is very knowledgeable, patient about answering a lot of questions, and extremely good natured. He worked very efficiently and left the work space very clean. I got a referral to Water Heaters only from a friend. I called them and they came out the same day, Order # 1041944. Chad initially called me to tell me he was on his way to my home. He arrived promply and installed my water heater. He gave me a price before he did the work, explained what he was going to do, and did the work in the alotted time, and cleaned up after himself. When he was finished, he showed me what he had done, answered all my questions and explained various things about the new water heater, i.e. lighting the pilot. Chad was very polite and appeared to be quite competant. All in all, the replacement of my water heater was a very pleasant experience. This is the second time I have gotten my water heater from Water Heaters Only. 06/03/2016. I called late evening, and was told a repairman would be there between 10 and 1, and would call before coming. The repairman, Chris, called prior to coming, and was here at 9:20. Chris was friendly professional, and precise. He went over everything he would do, then did the work in under the time estimated, and then went over everything he did, and how to put it on pilot if I go on vacation, how to start it up again, and how to shut if off completely, if needed. No hot water no more. Chris replaced my old junk water heater with a new one. Very happy with the professional service provided. Exceptional service at a great price! I am so glad we selected Water Heaters Only to replace our 75 gallon water heater. Justin, the technician, called 30 minutes before arriving and was right on time. He spent some time reviewing if he could repair the heater, but it was 14 years old and was beyond repair. Justin then walked through all the things he would do during the replacement including adding an additional earthquake strap, overflow pressure tank, and gas line sediment filter to bring everything up to code. His work was extremely professional and quick. Living in Santee! We like to use local businesses when possible. Derek arrived within an hour of my call and, as he was described in other reviews, was excellent! Professional, courteous, honest and competent, Derek is an outstanding representative for this company! The only negative was the price. While I was quoted "$400.00 or $500.00" over the phone, the final price was more towards $700.00. Called on a Sunday morning at 9am when I found water pouring from my water heater. The flyer was on the water heater and so I called and made an appointment for between 3 and 7pm. The call came at 2:45 from Pat who was there in less than 30 minutes. The work was neatly and efficiently completed. All new lines were installed along with a water pan (which I did not have before). The repair was completed by 5pm. Pat went the extra mile by putting a newly purchased water heater blanket on the device. He gave me a full orientation to the modern regulator and answered all my questions.
