Back around 1/18/2019,or so, my gas water heater stopped working. It is only 7.5 years old, and after doing some research as to how long they' 'typically' last, I thought, well, it shouldn't really be sputtering out on me quite yet. However, I reluctantly resigned myself to the fact I would have to pay out to have a whole new system installed. I called Water Heaters Only, Inc., early evening a couple of days later and had no problem at all getting through to someone. When I relayed my sob story about not having any hot water, the young lady who took my call graciously offered to try and get someone to my home that same night to take care of it. I assured her I could hold on an extra day or two since I had made it this far. We scheduled for someone to come out on the 21st and I was given a window of time I could expect the technician to call and let me know when he was headed my way. Sure as anything, I got a phone call late that afternoon and was assured by the caller he would arrive at my house shortly. As soon as I answered the door, I IMMEDIATELY felt at ease because I was greeted not by one, but by TWO gentlemen!!!! They were both incredibly kind and professional both in appearance and demeanor. Trevor and Dillon went right out to my laundry room to assess the situation. Now....here is where they had a prime opportunity to take advantage of the situation because the room was crowded with things I had pulled away from the walls to allow access to my water heater. I left Trevor and Dillon alone in the room to work on the problem. This could have been the perfect opportunity to scam me and sell me a bill of goods, but rather than do that, Trevor called me back into the laundry room and informed me the pilot light had simply blown out. He took the time to explain how this could have happened and let me know that the area around the base of my water heater needed to be vacuumed out to allow for better air flow. He also showed me how to restart the pilot light should I ever encounter this situation again, along with explaining some other things to me, including what signs to look for that would indicate a need to replace my water heater. Trevor gave me the option of getting a new one IF I felt so inclined, but NEVER did he EVER try to use high pressure or scare tactics to try and sell me something I clearly did not need to buy, at least, HOPEFULLY for not a few more years! Before leaving, Trevor engaged me in some 'small talk' even though I am sure he had more calls to take care of. He was so very kind and courteous and truly made me feel like I mattered, not only as a customer, but as a person. I have to say, both he and Dillon were stellar representatives of this company! I purchased my current water heater from this company and will have ZERO hesitation to buy my next one through them when that time comes based on my experiences and the level of professionalism I experienced starting from the moment I called to ask for help, clear through to the point where the job was finished and the gentlemen headed out to go to wherever it was they were headed. I can say with complete sincerity, if you are in need of a water heater repair or replacement, you really need to give these folks a try. They are truly interested in giving their customers the level of service one should expect to receive when hiring a company to perform a job. read more

Woah! This company is legit. They are honest. My story is a long one. I have owned an old home (built 1962) for almost a decade. We just finished remodeling the entire kitchen.. so needless to say I have had to replace and make a "million" repairs and have dealt with dozens and dozens of all types of repair people/techs/ contractors... etc... Today I called this company- talked to Don - after our hot water heater(unexpectedly) leaked water everywhere and got our wood flooring/ walls/ base boards/ etc got wet- he (don) was by far the most knowledgeable person I talked to ( after multiple calls and quotes) and gave me his honest opinion on our particular situation and saved us thousands of dollars. Our tech Dillon arrived timely, within two hours of calling- on the same day!!! He was respectful, patient, kind. He communicated well and did a very good job replacing the water heater- Truly just a hard working and honest person. He (Dillon) referred us (thank you!) to a restoration company to help us navigate the process of mitigating damage after a water leak. He waited for them to arrive to decide if we would replace the water heater today or after (dry wall, flooring, base boards were removed) I'm so thankful for you Dillon! I don't post reviews often and am pleased to do a positive one for Water Heaters Only. I found my old water heater leaking on a Sunday afternoon and after some online research called Water Heaters Only - expecting to leave a message and hopefully beat the Monday morning callers in getting an appointment. I was surprised to have my call picked up immediately by a cheerful professional woman who asked questions about the water heater (model, capacity, etc.) and then scheduled a visit from their representative for the next day. She gave me a quote on what it would cost - should the heater need to be replaced. (It ended up being a few dollars cheaper.) Dan showed up early in the planned time slot, after calling ahead to let me know specifically when he would arrive. He was great - knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. The work done left me with a new water heater that was better installed. It was done within the time Dan said it would take. He gave me a thorough "tutorial" on care and how the heater worked. This was a great experience. Its never fun to have to pay for a new water heater, however, I feel the value delivered was superb and would recommend Water Hears Only to anyone. read more

I have hot water again thanks to Water Heaters Only! Got home from work in the late afternoon, opened the garage door and was welcomed with a gush of water which had flooded the floor of my garage and a ton of wet boxes (mostly filled with junk). The water heater in the corner of my garage had busted and was spewing water like a gigantic fountain. After some research on Angie's List, I found Water Heaters Only with an "A" rating and was glad to find they had a coupon as well. That, coupled with the fact that water heaters is their specialty is what convinced me to give them a call the following morning. I was surprised that they could send Don over so soon and in about an hour and a half there he was with new water heater in tow. After removing the old unit, the new one was up in running in less than three hours. He would've been done earlier, but made some modifications that would make the water heater look and sit better in the corner of my garage. Our thirteen year old water heaters internal tank started leaking and we knew a replacement was due. We had called a big store that had the same brand and about fell down from what they wanted between the cost of installation, removal AND we'd have to wait two weeks for it to be special ordered. We found Water Heaters Only after a little more googling and gave them a call. I spoke with Justin who was very informative and answered all my questions. I called after noon, so I was able to get it installed the next morning. Their installation guy, Don, was the consummate professional. The whole job of replacing a 50 gal. gas water heater (new pipe fittings, the works) was done in under two hours. He was happy to explain the couple of differences the new unit had over the old and how to do simple maintenance on the unit. To begin with, I didn't have a current issue with my existing water heater, but I knew that it was probably nearing the end of it's life expectancy, so to be proactive I called: Water Heaters Only Inc, they were quick to answer the phone and to take my $1200.00 for a water heater replacement, but when my new one stopped producing any hot water just 36 hours after the new install, I was told that I would have to wait until the afternoon of the next day between 12 and 4pm to get someone to come out. My wife and I are both working professionals and this wasn't going to work. Christian at the 24hr toll free number was absolutely unwilling to accommodate our needs. What is the point of the 24hr line?? I probably would have had someone out within the hour if it meant revenue for the company. In short, I'll go to another company next time, one that is willing to stand behind their work. Christian at the call center could use some customer service training also. read more

We needed a new water heater as we were seeing corrosion at the bottom. On October 26th, we had three companies come out to give us estimates. The first estimate was crazy expensive. Don from Water Heaters Only came out a couple of hours later and gave us an estimate that was $500 less. He also had a replacement water heater with him so he could do the repair at the time. Don also took the time to explain that the current water heater was actually too large for the space it was in so the replacement was a bit taller but a slimmer water heater to it fit the space better. He would also be adding a drip pan and tubing so we would be able to monitor any potential issues in the future. Another company came out during the same time but gave us same cost as the first company. Water Heaters Only had the best pricing plus Don took the time to explain everything to us. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a new water heater. Best choice we made. read more

John H. 6/22/2019. Bought my house in Chandler 3 years ago and had to replace the existing gas water heater almost immediately. Yesterday morning found that unit leaking badly onto the rear patio. There were 2 stickers on that heater, one from the installer back then and one from Water Heaters Only (WHO) that came in the mail sometime back. The original installer was no longer in business. So I called WHO about 8:15 am. They gave me a quick, reasonable estimate and said they could have a man with all the right parts there by 10:30. Trevor E showed up on time, explained the cause of the problem, confirmed the price and began work. In addition to just replacing the water heater, he had to remove and reinstall a recirculation pump and modify existing exhaust piping. He used all new flex lines and replaced the drain pan all within the original price. I have only good things to say about the plumber and the company. read more

This is our 4th water heater with Water Heaters Only (2 solar/2 electric) over the last 20 years we've been in Arizona. All Rheem units lasted the 10 year length. Couldn't be more pleased with service, response time, and knowledgeable personnel. Great people to work with. Trevor E replaced 80 gal electric with 50 gal electric today, which matched with all other service/consumer product info we had gotten that 80 gal not installed for residential any longer unless you wanted to go to commerical standard - such as for spa. As usual, received day before confirmation call, and prior arrival call. When I called Water Heaters Only they were very cordial and after explaining the process gave me a preliminary estimate. Ironically, the family next door unbeknownst to me had also scheduled a replacement with this company just before my job. I took a look at the work that was done there and knew I had found the right people for the job. Don S. came over assessed the situation and stated we'll fix you right up. I am a retired engineer so wanted to watch and ask plenty of questions. In asking my questions I could tell Don knew his work well. My job was not routine when it came to the installation. But Don was able to adapt and even improve upon the situation I previously had before. He is extremely well experienced and knowlegeable, not to mention very professional. We contacted Water Heaters Only after having bad experiences with competitor water heaters. We were given a thorough explanation of the water heater available from WHO and the related cost. All of our questions were answered concisely from a representative who seemed to be very fully informed. We scheduled an installation for February 8 between 12 and 3 and were pleased that Trevor E. called to tell us that he cold arrive a couple of hours earlier. He fully explained what he would do and confirmed the water heater to be the model we requested. The installation was done exceptionally well. The area was left very clean upon completion. Installer, Tom, called ahead to say his time of arrival. He was prompt and explained what he was going to do. The entire job took about what he'd predicted, 2.5 hours. Generally he was neat in his work. He did not wear booties over his work shoes, though, and did not cover the floor between the water heater closet and the outside door he used to bring equipment in and out, including the hose used to drain the water heater. I provided drop clothes ti cover the floor. He did, however, explain in detail what he was going to change in the installation besides the heater, as well as the reasons for doing so. My only complaint about equipment is the the warranty is for six years, rather than the 12 years on my old equipment. I would recommend this company for water heater replacement. read more

We had a 9 yr old water heater that started leaking. We would not have noticed it leaking as soon as we did had it not been for the flier we received Wednesday January 17, 2018. After the mail arrived my husband proceeded to tape the advertisement to the water heater so he would have it when he needed it. Low and behold he found himself standing on a very wet rug! He called Water Heaters Only in Phoenix, AZ. Don came out the next morning, brought us a new water heater and installed it in little over an hour. My husband was happy as Don changed out all the water lines so everything looks brand new. Could not have asked for better service and at a reasonable price. I woke up to a leaking water heater. I called 7 other plumbers and no one could do it that day. My 8th call was Water Heaters Only and they were able to come the same day between 12p-3pm. I booked the appointment and Dillon was my repairman. I did get a call back from another plumber and I compared their price to Water Heaters Only. Water Heaters Only were less expensive by $300. Dillon arrived at the house. After his initial assessment, he said it would take a few hours and the price was $200 lower than originally quoted. Dillon was professional and did excellent work. 2/24/2016 My 10+ years old water heater was leaking, and I called our home insurance company "Old Republic" to request a professional service. The next morning, Water Heaters Only called me and scheduled an appointment. Don, the technician, came at 4pm and did a throughout check, and recommended to replace a new water heater. Within 1.5 hours, Don replaced the leaking water heater, including a brand new 50 gallons water heater, water flexes, gas flex with doing regular refit T/P valves and vent, stack 24'' pan to floor. The work has been done very professionally. The cost is covered by the home insurance, so we only paid the $65 "Trade Call Fee". Great service! I contacted Water Heaters Only at about 9 AM and spoke with a fellow named Tom who was very helpful in explaining the steps in the installation and of course, the cost. Prior to my call to Water Heaters Only, I did contact a number of other competitors including Home Dept. My choice was made mostly because of the fact that this company received great reviews and also because of the length of time they were in business. The new water heater was installed the same day by fellow named Don. This guy was very professional and knowledgeable. Replace leaking water tank, and install proper copper piping to code for a 75 gallon, gas tank. Trevor E was our serviceman. He went over everything that needed to be done, and had great dialog with my husband, who is an electrical and mechanical engineer. Job was done in a timely manner. Trevor came out very quickly, and installed the heater the same day. A Rheem tank was installed. Price was a bit higher because of the size of the tank, and correcting copper pipes to code with flex pipe, and refit the vent. Date of service was done 07/30/2018. Ron M. 7/4/2017 After checking quotes and talking with several companies for replacement/installation of a new 50 gal gas water heater, I decided to use Water Heaters Only. I was given a 2 hour window on the 4th of July Holiday, and the technician "Don" did arrive within and window and called when he was about 30 mins out. Don was very professional and went right to work. He did not have any issues working on my older (70 year) home and removal of my old water heater, that lasted 18+ years.
