The team is a family run operation with Jason being the head coach (also a semi-pro racer) and Maria handling all the logistics. I booked an arrive & drive session for their 100cc kart at Sonoma Raceway and the entire experience far exceeded my expectations. The kart was in immaculate condition and fine tuned specifically to my build; I met with them a week in advance to do measurements to ensure proper fitment, which was a first for me. Jason and his crew were giving me solid advice throughout the day, answered all my questions, and even gave in-depth guidance on taking the next steps with purchasing my own kart. You can absolutely see the care and passion they have for this sport and how they want to help you progress into a better driver. Although their main focus is driver development through SIM training, they are truly devoted to helping you grow as a driver and ensure you have a fun time.

They did not check any bags - we had 1 backpack each with some snacks and soft drinks 3. It did get very very hot - hats, umbrella, sunscreen were useful 4. The seating was open and there was shade after climbing about 5 flights of stairs 5. Most food stands were closed as this did not look like the busiest event but there were definitely options to chose from (expensive ofc) 6. We were able to go very close to all the cars and some drivers were really nice and took pictures with kids 7. There is a special area for ferrari owners ~~ 8. turn 2 was a good place to see the race 9. Totally done with class - the people sharing coffees and small bites prior to putting the helmets on were open, friendly and welcoming. No one ever asked, " what do you do?" How many do you own? Etc.. very low key. The track: very hilly and very tight corners. The G forces are going on the whole time and very easy to get an upset stomach. I passed on my driving coach's offer to do a "hot lap" after my 7 laps. Discretion at its best. All in all a very fun experience and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

As a grassroots style organization, there's no elitism, just driving for the sake of driving. Their multi-day festivals are always fantastic value, with tons of unexpected extras included.

They also have normal and F1 steering wheels and even a little simulator for kids. For $25 for 30 minutes, you get the normal shifter, and I think $35/30 minutes for the racing shifter. This newer location is closer to the VR areas and the kid watch places so it's actually a way better location and on the second floor. Been here a couple times and can't wait to go back!

They have a HUGE variety of RC stuff--cars, trucks, boats, planes, parts, accessories, different bodies, and so much more. They even work on and repair RC cars there, which is really convenient. For me, the coolest part was the indoor RC track! Since this was my first time here, I was honestly amazed watching everyone race their little RC cars around the track . I didn't realize how big of a hobby this was, so it was actually really fun to watch. They also have an entire rock-crawling room with rocks, bridges, ramps, and different obstacles for the RC trucks, which was really cool to see. The guy working there was also really nice. He greeted us when we came in and answered all of my husband's questions. He was friendly and took the time to talk to us without making us feel rushed. They also had several Monster Jam RC trucks, which immediately caught my attention . I specifically asked about the Sparkle Smash truck. They didn't have that particular one, but he said they might get it later on. He also told us to come back because they're having a Monster Jam event soon, and now I'm actually interested in coming back for it! The employee came outside, WALKED ON THE HOOD OF HIS CAR to turn off the alarm, and then accused me of hitting his car. My husband and the five children in my car all confirmed that I didn't. After confronting me in the parking lot, he walked back into K1 while I followed behind. I found it very inappropriate for an employee to yell at a customer, especially as they were entering the business. The kids enjoyed themselves, but the overall customer service was not up to my expectations. When I book a party I like to be stress free, otherwise I would just host a party at my own house.
