The only reason Warby Parker doesn't get 5 stars is that they don't have a decent selection of larger glasses for people like me with big heads. Everything else is 5 stars. I came here mid-week so it wasn't busy. There was just one customer ahead of me and the wait wasn't long. The staff was welcoming and greeted me as soon as I entered the store. The optician was also very friendly. I had my lenses replaced on my Warby Parker frames but if my glasses slid down my nose the least little bit, everything was blurry. So I came to get the frames adjusted. I wish Warby Parker did lens replacements. It would go well with their commitment to lower prices, and it would keep customers within their ecosystem. Fingers-crossed for it in the future because Lensabl has gotten sloppy. And I don't need much. Just a selection of 4 frames that fit larger heads. Okay 2... I can work with 2 and we'd be golden. read more

Unbelievably, after filling my prescription with someone else's prescription, they not only didn't apologize they actually had the gall to tell me they'd re-do my glasses 'as a courtesy'. I wrote Warby Care and got another dismissive email. Finally, they had the nerve to send me a Survey asking if I would recommend Warby Parker?!?! Exactly who would recommend an Optician who can't even fill an existing prescription right? If you care about your eyes, do them a big favor and avoid Warby Parker altogether. read more

Warby Parker Upper West Side came up by accident today when we were walking home from shopping. As we passed my daughter noticed the store and remembered she needed a nose guard on her glasses replaced. Since the store opens at 10am, and we only had to wait five minutes, we decided to take care of her need. They were very nice and organized. They had enough employees to handle her needs quickly. After we left she realized they not only replaced the broken nose guard but both of them. While we were there I asked about bifocals. I was told Warby Parker can fill bifocals now. The man said no to making bifocals and that they only have progressive lenses. Oh well, I guess I was advised wrong. I'll double check with my local Warby Parker where my friend said he got his bifocals. Maybe each store is independent in what they offer. As for this location I'm recommending as we had a problem and it was solved quickly! Pleasant, friendly employees, and a clean pretty store are certainly worth four stars. read more

My prescription was less than a month old from my eye doctor (who has a poor selection of frames). I was greet with friendly energy and soon found a frame I really liked. The staff was helpful and answered all my questions. Finally, the price was right for a second pair and I ordered. Ten days later, glasses arrived. Totally different staff but same energy when I arrived. However the lena were all wrong - i had to tilt my head back to read at midrange. They fussed and fiddled until they decided the lenses were indeed off. They retook the measurements and submitted the glasses to be remade. NBD as S happens. Ten days later, they are ready. New staff, but just as friendly. Now the lenses are worse. While they mostly fixed midrange, reading was completely blurred. The lenses were total garbage. The staff was apologetic and offered to redo a third time or refund. I chose Refund. 1st and last time I will consider Warby Parker for glasses. read more

Had my annual eye exam so like I do every year I went to WP with my upgraded Rx to buy new lenses for all of my frames, and a new pair of glasses because I like to get a new pair every year as well, only to find out that they won't do that anymore. So now I have 5 pairs of completely useless WP glasses, all in frames that I love and wear constantly and I basically have to just throw them all away and find a new company to buy all my glasses from. Ordered my glasses from Warby Parker ( haven't received yet) , my experience have been kinda interesting so far.. Firstly no one pick up phone calls from their customer service team. I understand company might be short staffed under Covid 19, but if there is no one working please at least mentions in the auto-reply so I don't have to wait for 30 mins and called multiple time. Second, just received Alert notice from USPS , telling me the address on the shipping label was wrong. God know when I will be receive the product at this point. I finally got my favorite tortoiseshell frames aligned and tightened for my face this afternoon. I mentioned to the guy after he quickly set me right that I can't believe it took me so long to make this happen when this location is literally within a few minutes of my workplace. He chuckled and said, don't feel so bad, we've only been open a week. My phone was dying so no photos, but this store is tiny and well-curated. Despite owning several Warby Parker frames, I haven't been in many shops. Needless to say, I was initially surprised to see a book for sale under the glasses display, but upon looking around I realized they several books are on display, including a recent favorite: Swing Team by Zadie Smith. Despite the size of the store, there were about eight or so employees present, just chatting about. Everyone was super friendly. After my experience with the eyewear store called SEE, I walked down the street and was so pleasantly surprised at how quickly I found a pair of reading glasses. I already had my prescription in hand so I did cut down on the time The sales person was efficient kind friendly and right to the point and all of the glasses were easily displayed on well lit shelves including the prices They exercise the utmost and social distancing and everything was immaculately clean and they explained that each time I try to pair of glasses on to please place them in another area for them to be cleaned The atmosphere was warm and friendly and totally professional I was out in under a half an hour. I recently bought a pair of glasses from Warby Parker. I have to say, the prices are amazing for glasses (and I know from getting glasses from other, more expensive places) and such stylish frames. The customer service is absolutely amazing, too! However, I recently dropped my glasses about six inches off the ground, and they have a very prominent scratch in them, which bothers me. However, I called the Columbus location, and because it's been less than 30 days, I get them replaced for free, AND there is a one year scratch warranty on the glasses. So besides the fact that these lenses are not the greatest scratch-free lenses you've ever seen, it's definitely worth the price. I'm definitely buying my next pair of glasses here! The staff is super nice, hence the 2 stars vs 1 star, but I am not happy with this company for eye glasses at all. The tortoise frames I ordered came solid black for the frame part with barely any detail on the sides. I understand each one is different as tortious is known for that, but if I wanted solid black frames, I would have ordered that. When manufacturing this particular style, a bit of quality control is expected. The frames ordered and seen in person should match up to 85% of what is seen and expected. They exchanged easily, and the replacement was barely different. Not happy still. But the main issue is they don't stay on. They kept down my nose. Never had issues with any of my high end eye or sunglasses. All in all, returned them for a refund and I'm not using them going forward. read more

So we ordered two pairs of glasses. One of them arrived so woefully out of shape that when you put it on one side was 3 inches higher than the other. How anyone could have mailed this out to a customer, I don't know. Anyway, today I trudged through the snow to bring it to the store at Grand Central, which is open till 8 p.m. according to the website. When I got there at 5:15 I was told that they were closed even though I saw several customers inside. They refused to take my glasses and adjust them and told me I should come back tomorrow. Of course, they couldn't tell me if they would even be open tomorrow but suggested that I plan on trudging through the snow to find out anyway. Why I couldn't leave the glasses there and have them adjusted when the optician arrived, I don't know. They refuse to do this. Had such a great experience with the WB brand in general and especially this store. I love the chic store layout, the good price, the friendly staff. I bought my glasses at a different location, but I came here to have my glasses adjusted. I was the next in line (in the Soho store there could be a bit of a wait). The optician listened to my concern, did the adjustment I asked for. He found out that one of the damages was a defect and gave me a new frame. Unfortunately I do not own a pair of Warby Parker glasses because the staff at this store was beyond unhelpful. I was greeted by one staff member who seemed anxious to help anyone but he was already working with a customer. The other sales people were not engaging at all. Two were having a conversation with each other at the register and one was more interested in dusting the eye wear while there was a room full of customers milling about. I had the grave misfortune of breaking my glasses while cleaning them with my microfiber cloth. So yes, the glasses are kind of cheap and the lenses aren't great quality, BUT they do the trick. They are affordable, help someone in need (a pair is donated for every pair bought), and on this particular occasion I had wonderful customer service. Frank helped me out and went on a mission to find the same frames for me that had apparently been discontinued. He was an absolute delight and turned my sour day around. I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon to have my glasses adjusted. Though it was a little busy, we were quickly greeted and added to the list to see the optician. There was a slight hiccup in their system and my turn was skipped, but one of the employees caught it immediately and promised I would be next. I had never bought glasses prior to this despite living around the corner. Today, I stepped on my back up glasses from Oliver People's and the arm broke off. I thought somehow they could be saved and went to SEE eyewear to see if they could help me. I've never had a good experience there and find that their employees don't seem like they know anything related to glasses. Despite my telling them that this is my only pair and looking obviously in need of a guidance, they told me to go to Oliver Peoples. So I walked into Warby Parker. I think I was greeted by Mark. I really hope that's his name because I had the most wonderful customer service experience there because of him. He immediately told me that we could at least find a temporary solution and picked out the perfect frame for me off the bat. Popped out my lenses from my broken glasses, put them in my new ones and after a bit of adjustments, I was good to go. Would totally come back again now! Highly recommend Mark (if that's his name) and am happy that Warby Parker knows how to hire people who are helpful, friendly and productive. read more

Having your frames adjusted is an incredibly painful process. ------ I asked to have some frames adjusted so that they weren't so loose. What would have taken five minutes at any other eyeglass place took him twenty. I suspect that he didn't have much experience adjusting frames, but he also refused to listen to what I wanted. I had to keep asking for the same adjustment, even telling him specifically what parts of the glasses needed to be shaped. However, he did not listen to my requests, and instead become increasingly rude. Eventually, I just gave up on having my frames adjusted and will probably be returning them. Afterwards, I asked for a bag to put my glasses in and he repeated my question back to me incredulously, like I had just asked for both kidneys. Ultimately, Warby Parker has cute frames but is still having some growing pains -- hire more respectful staff and properly train them!! read more

I had a great experience here. I came in after my optometrist prescribes me glasses. They were very helpful from the minute I walked in. I picked out the frames and they fitted me for the glasses. Everything came to $145 (frames, lenses and blue light shield). I received them 8 business days after going to the store. Today I popped in to get them tightened and only had a brief wait. They fitted them perfectly. Everyone was very friendly, even when my son tried to rearrange their books on display. I'm sure the location gets busy but they seemed to work through their waitlist efficiently and were very clear on how many people were in front of me. read more

I went here for the first time after a recommendation from my aunt who always gets her glasses from Warby Parker. The store was small, but they were still able to fit all of the glasses on the walls and it didn't feel cramped. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses and had them shipped to my house. They came in a week and they are the best sunglasses I have ever owned. Rude, distracted, and unwilling to help with the slightest request. Their prices are no less than any of the other opticians on the upper west side. The excellent WP customer service and good price are hugely offset by the poor quality of the lens scratch coating. After the responsive and caring customer service Ive had I regret having to write this neg review of the product. This was my first WP experience and I noticed scratches on my high index progressives before the year was up . It was the first time I ever experienced scratches so soon on any pair Ive obtained from other opticians in 35 years of wearing glasses in an office setting. In 35 years the only time I wanted a new pair was to change prescription or style. Agreed I've paid hefty prices in the past for Varilux and Hoya lenses. I was able to get a quick replacement in Dec 2020 but literally 3 months later with careful care I have scratches in my field of vision again. I would think they should offer an add-on option of a higher quality lens Lab and better coating. They would still get the customer who needs cheap and quick pair and also be able to keep clients who expect a better product. Again- the service by both email and in store was high quality. Please offer a corresponding level of quality in your lenses. read more
