Decent selection of designer frames in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. They offer 50% off…read moretheir frames, which can only be applied if you don't utilize your vision benefits or uninsured, which can bring the price down for sure. The issue comes with pricing with insurance. The sales lady (who was friendly and very helpful) said she could compare the price for $549 pair of Monclear frames with the stores discount vs my insurance. Proceeded to do the math in front of me and stated with insurance it would ~$630 vs with store discount and not using instance would be ~$600. You would think awesome savings? Wrong. She either accidentally quoted my benefits wrong or did it on purpose. Stated I had 20% off lenses when my insurance eye med covers it entirely with $15 copay, states anti reflective coating would be $99, when per my insurance should only pay $45 and stated I have $175 off frames when in reality I have $175 off and 20% off price above. When I did the math myself would be  $359.20. When she told me the insured priced it gave me a bit pause because I thought wow my insurance barely covers anything, did my benefits change drastically this year?! So I left to price shop and review my benefits. I would love to give them the benefit of the doubt but this is perfect scheme to entice a customer to use their coupon instead of insurance so they can maximize profits without having to deal with insurance reimbursement. Funnily enough if they actually quoted me the real insurance savings I would have purchased immediately. Now I certainly will not be back.

I'm sure he will reply negatively to this review as well, as accepting accountability and feedback is a skill he is still developing. It required a dermatologist appointment, prescription ointment, and several weeks to heal. I determined the cause of the irritation by placing the frame on my forearm. After a few hours, there appeared a swollen, red, and itchy outline of the frame. When contacting Anne and Valentin about the incident, their response was to tell me their return policy and say they could not replace the lenses because they were from another vendor. So much for good customer relations. Maybe it's a French thing.

They do superb, careful work and stand by it, and I believe their prices are fair and in line with what you would pay elsewhere (except for those online places, if you feel like gambling with your eye health and vision). Also they've had very little turnover of staff in the decade I've been getting my glasses there, so everyone who works there is an experienced professional. And they still have a wonderfully curated selection of frames to pick from, including lots of adventurous, bold styles as well as all the solid basics you would expect. I always find a pair I love.

Nothing has a price on it and she won't show you anything without first asking, Well, how much are you looking to spend? She looks over the glasses and you can see the wheels in her head turning as she considers how much she is going to try and charge you. She'll then quote you a price, offer a discount and then conveniently forget the discount when it comes to time to ring you up. She will try and convince you every single lens treatment is a must have, even the ones like a filter for blue light the efficacy of which is very much open to debate. Getting a copy of your prescription is like getting a work permit from the French government (even though it's your right!). I get a more ethical vibe from street vendors! To top it off, the selection here is terrible. They cannot answer even the most basic questions about the benefits offered by your health plan. When you ask, 'Is there any way you could look that information up?' she emits a soul destroying sigh to protest you interrupting her sedentariness. There is just a general carelessness to everything they do. They try to send you out with your new glasses without a case for them. They don't call you when your glasses are ready.
