Needless to say, I ended up getting 2 pairs of glasses and a pair of sunglasses because the selection they have is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I haven't been to another eyeglass store that has such an amazing, one-of-a-kind selection. I spent 2 hours in the store trying on different styles and brands. Everyone was so helpful at selecting the right pair, and as I said, I just couldn't help myself and had to get 3. Can't wait to pick up my eyeglasses and already rockin' my new Kuboraum sunglasses. I have seen WP's ads on TV for a while, but I always assumed they were really expensive because - ready for this stupid assumption? - they were one of Oprah's "favorite things" a few years ago, and almost all of her "favorites" are on HER budget ($300 cashmere scarves, etc). However, I was scrolling Facebook one night and saw one of the ads for "try at home" and realized I had NOTHING to lose. I picked out 5 frames I really liked in the "tortoise" color option (there were a lot to choose from, and note that "Sassafras" is also considered tortoise), and had them delivered in a great box about 5 days later with all sorts of things to read. No need for your BFF to be standing next to you helping to decide, just text a few pics of yourself to everyone and they can participate in the decision from wherever they happen to be. I narrowed it down to two frames, and then I realized that $95 INCLUDED the lenses. Again, there I was assuming and the last time I got just the lenses from Lenscrafters, they were $250 (!!!!!). But wait, there is more: two (or more) pairs gets you a 15% off discount, so instead of deciding which one I liked better (and they are almost identical) I ordered both. Two pairs of awesome glasses arrived at my door a week later, and I am thrilled. While there are several WP locations near me, I don't even need a little adjustment on either one... SO EASY! Moral of the Story: don't assume anything, and just get the glasses!

I arrived ten minutes early, and after finishing up the paperwork, was immediately helped by one of the staff. He got me into the system (including absolutely NO drama about my insurance or pressure for up-charges) and took me straight back to start preliminary exams. I then waited for a few short minutes before my time with Dr. Nancy Suen. To a point - she was the absolute best optometrist I've ever been to. She was incredibly patient and thorough, explaining each step she was taking and answering all questions without making me feel rushed in any way. She has tremendous bedside manner and instilled nothing but confidence. Finally, I did not intend to buy any frames - I went strictly for the exam (in order to, frankly, purchase frames online). In my past experience, exam places can get very surly when you "use them" for just the exam. However, the staff simply asked me, "Do you want to buy frames today as well?" and after a simple, "Not today," they left the issue alone. Amazing! I would completely recommend this LensCrafters, and I'll definitely be trying to see Dr. Suen for my next yearly exam.

Horrible Service -- Be Careful If You Use Your Insurance…read more I had a very disappointing experience at this store. I believe I was overcharged, and I returned with my insurance statement to show proof of the amount I was actually supposed to pay. Unfortunately, the male manager was extremely disrespectful and dismissive. Instead of taking the time to review my insurance documents and investigate the issue, he repeatedly asked me, "Why did you pay if you disagreed with the price?" My answer was simple: I had lost my glasses and was basically unable to see, so I needed them immediately. That does not mean I should be overcharged. Another employee was trying to help me, but the manager kept interrupting and inserting himself into the conversation. His attitude made me feel as if my business was not wanted, even though I had previously purchased almost four pairs of glasses from this store using my insurance. I had documentation from my insurance showing what they paid and what I was supposed to pay. I was told that the prices had increased. If that was the case, why were the new charges not properly submitted to the insurance company? My insurance statement clearly showed the amounts, and I believe I was overcharged. What bothered me most was that nobody took the time to properly investigate the situation. I was simply dismissed as if I had come to the store to cause a problem rather than as a returning customer trying to resolve a legitimate billing issue. After giving this store so much business, I will never return to this location again. The male manager seriously needs additional training on how to communicate with and treat customers respectfully. I am honestly surprised that this level of customer service is acceptable at a store in SoHo, NYC.
