The glasses are way to big, they never fitted her for her glasses. she chose the style of frame but it looks like they gave her the showcase glasses. Once it was brought to their attention, instead of changing them they are doing everything not to!!! If you see how stupid and uncomfortable they reshaped these arms!!! This is my first time going to Triangle Optical to get progressive lenses on June 9, 2025. The first prescription came out blurry when looking into the distance. When I look to the right, it's blurry; to the left is clear. The second time, when they redid my prescription, it was still the same. Finally, the third time, they screwed up my prescription when I told them to add the wideness to make it sharper and clearer, and there was no way I could use my prescription. Each time I pick up my eyeglasses, somehow, it's crooked and unbalanced. I asked the older lady at the store if I could get my refund back for giving me the wrong prescription three times in a row, and she said no; there is no refund. It is entirely possible the eye doctor got my prescription wrong, or that an error happened when the lab made my lenses incorrectly. The eye doctor and the older lady tried to blame me for their mistakes. They made me waste my time, took my money, and acted like it was my fault for their wrongdoing. I paid in full, costing me $713.00 out of pocket. The store policy lets you exchange the eye frame if the customer isn't satisfied or feels uncomfortable wearing the eye frame. The older lady gave me an attitude when I wanted to exchange it. Another lady lied about my credit card not working by telling me I don't have funds in my account when I have money in my account and expected me to pay in cash.

I had a very frustrating experience with this eye doctor's office after my entire family went there…read morefor eye exams. I purchased both glasses and contact lenses from this office and initially had a good enough experience to continue doing business with them. Unfortunately, my experience when I needed additional contact lenses for my child was very different. The issue involved my child's contact lens prescription. The prescription we were initially given contained an incorrect address and other data-entry errors. When I noticed the errors, I contacted the office and asked them to email me a corrected copy so I would not have to make another trip across town. What was particularly concerning is that three different employees, on three separate occasions, told me that they could not email me the prescription because it violated HIPAA. This was not just one employee misunderstanding the policy. I was given the same explanation by two female employees and one male employee on separate occasions. At that point, it made me question whether this was something employees were being trained to tell customers. The third time, I pushed back and told the employee that I did not believe that was correct. My understanding is that HIPAA does not categorically prohibit a healthcare provider from emailing a patient's contact lens prescription. I found it very concerning that HIPAA was repeatedly presented to me as the reason they could not provide my child's corrected prescription by email. Because they refused to email the corrected prescription, I had to make another trip across town simply to obtain the corrected version. There was also a serious issue regarding pricing. I only needed additional contact lenses for my child. When I explained that Costco was charging less for the same contacts, a salesperson told me that they would charge me the same price. Based on that conversation, I believed the office was matching Costco's price. When I returned to pick up the contact lenses, I asked for an itemized receipt and asked how much the contacts actually cost because I noticed that my FSA balance did not appear to be correct. I was then told that I had actually been charged the original, higher price. I was never given a clear breakdown of the pricing, and the way the price was communicated led me to believe that I was receiving the same price as Costco. I subsequently checked Costco myself and found that the same contact lenses were $124 at Costco compared with $218 that I was charged here. That is a $94 difference. This also makes me question what I was charged when my entire family originally purchased glasses and contacts from this office. After seeing this price difference, I now have concerns that I may have paid significantly more than necessary for those purchases as well. My biggest concern is the lack of transparency surrounding pricing and insurance/FSA benefits. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that customers do their own research and not rely solely on what they are told about insurance coverage, FSA benefits, or pricing. Make sure you understand the actual retail price, what your insurance is paying, what you are paying out of pocket, and exactly how much is being charged to your FSA. I cannot say what the office's intentions are, but my experience left me with the impression that the focus was on maximizing what could be charged through my insurance/FSA rather than making the pricing completely transparent to me as the customer. I am especially disappointed because I had previously purchased glasses and contacts from this office and was returning simply because my child needed additional contact lenses. After this experience, I would think twice before making another purchase here. Beware and do your homework. Compare prices before purchasing, ask for an itemized receipt, verify the actual cost of the products, and carefully review how your insurance or FSA is being used. Do not assume that the price you are being quoted is the best price simply because it is being presented as an insurance or FSA benefit.

She was very patient and gave helpful suggestions. The next step after this was for me to see the eye doctor. I had made an appointment I came (they also gave me phone reminder as well). The doctor was just as professional, as I got fitted for my contacts. After my eye exam I had to go back to see Stephanie to wrap. I was able to get a discount and use my eye insurance as well. She was very good at explaining the costs of everything. I've had excellent service as well on a subsequent visits when Stephanie wasn't there I came back because I need an eye glasses cleaner. I enjoyed my visit and would definitely come back and recommend this location if you need glasses or contacts.

I've been wanting laser eye surgery for…read moreawhile now but never qualified until recently (combined with a fear of going blind from surgery). Idk what changed in me but it was like a light switch went off where I was so tired of glasses/contacts and tired of being legally blind (-8.5 with astigmatism). It was impacting my quality of life yall. I came here for a free consultation where they run lots of exams on you, the whole thing took 2 hours. Turns out I only qualified for PRK cause my corneas were too thin. Which honestly made it easier for me cause I did a lot of research and I didn't know if lasik or smile would've been better. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say how much the pricing was (some businesses get sensitive about that on yelp) but my insurance was able to give a discount and I paid with my HSA so it felt "free". Worth every penny. What also made me feel more confident about the surgery was that my surgeon, Dr.Beyer has a LOT of experience. He was on the team of surgeons that conducted the world's first PRK surgery. So it doesn't get better than that yall. FYI, this place doesn't prescribe xanax or anything. You have to go through your PCP for that. Luckily I didn't need it even though I have anxiety disorder. I was so excited to get this surgery that I was not nervous at all during the actual operation day. Think about it this way. Its a common procedure and you have a higher chance of getting bit by a shark than complications from this surgery. Also, whatever you believe in, have FAITH. Things will turn out okay and you know what's actually scarier than the near impossible chances of going blind? Death. Honestly, nothing is scarier than dying. Maybe that's too morbid but we are much stronger than we think we are- no reason to be nervous! It's been a couple months since my surgery and I have 20/15 vision! The only side effects is dryness which is normal so just be liberal with the eye drops. But the surgery is super fast! A few minutes per eye (the actual laser itself is like 13 seconds for me). My eyes will continue to stabilize over the next few months but I'm so glad I don't have to worry about glasses/contacts anymore when I travel, dance or surf. They say PRK is a longer healing process and more painful but it wasn't too bad for me. The only pain I had was the first night after surgery. I woke up in excruciating pain but I popped some OTC ibuprofen and was fine. Never had any other pain since. My vision was blurry the first couple weeks so it was lowkey hard to do work but my workplace understood and I took it easy. I could barely make out what was on my phone and computer for the first few days. Small sacrifice for a new life!
