Since I've only been wearing glasses for maybe 6 years this is the only eye doctor I've been to so I have nothing to compare it to, but I've been happy so far. I prefer small local doctors offices, and I didnt want to go to a corporate chain And it's close to my house. The selection of eye wear is decent, but I'm picky and I like designer frames and I like to do my research to find the perfect pair. I like to buy my frames online and bring them in for lenses, but I've also bought glasses there before from Gucci and Pro Design. My husband will only wear Rayban and he has found great looking glasses there. When he broke his frames they helped to get them covered under warranty and had them rushed. read more

Just don't. I had a vision exam done and bought a pair of frames. The guy working said they'd text me within 48 hours so I could pick up my glasses. Two weeks later and I haven't heard back. I've left numerous voicemails asking them to get back to me but to no avail. Eventually called my bank to file a claim and have the transaction nulled. Scammers. Disorganized. Horrible bedside manner (the woman was basically shoving her fingers in my eyes during the exam.) Surely there's a better place in the neighborhood! read more

I was personally examined and treated by Dr. Sara Kahen-Kashi on Monday - 29 January 2019. I am an Emergency Room Physician and interact with many other healthcare professionals on a near daily basis. I found her to be exceptional and I highly recommend this eye specialist without any reservation. The office was very spacious, clean and modern. Additionally, I found Dr. Kahen-Kashi to be extremely professional and highly competent. She is compassionate and extremely patient. She is extremely gentle and careful and took her time in performing a complete and thorough examination of my eyes. A great Doctor is always backed up by a great team. Case in point, everyone in her office was extremely polite and friendly. I appreciated that I was not pressured into making any unnecessary purchases. Unfortunately, her optical store did not take my insurance; however - she was kind enough to offer me a very generous discount. They had a really nice and lovely selection of frames. A+ Overall - Was an extremely worthwhile visit with an exceptional healthcare provider. Again - I highly recommend and will be sending this individual my own personal referrals. The staff is friendly but their service isn't the best. I went in for contacts and new glasses. I had my own frames I brought in to get new lens. I waited 3 weeks for my frames to arrive. When I went to pick them up the lens was very loose. I took it back to get fixed. It took them 4 times to redo the lenses to finally fit the frame. When I finally got my glasses back new issue, the screws don't tighten my glasses any more. They are so loose even after I attempt to tighten them every day. Not sure if it was the constant screwing and unscrewing to put in new frames so many times or what. read more

Stop pressuring and up-selling overpriced eyewear to low income people and work on getting the prescriptions filled in a timely matter and contacting patients asap when they are ready. Waiting a month and half for basic glasses and having to constantly call or stop in to check in about them was irritating. Considering how these are medically necessary, this was a huge blow to my health (thankfully I had a back up pair because relying on your center was horrible). When they were finally ready, I was not contacted and your other receptionist apologized and then sent me a text an hour later to cover her tracks saying they were ready. At my initial visit, your receptionist also refused to give over the written prescription until she was reminded that it violates the Federal Trade Commission's Eyeglass Rule (where patients are to be given a copy of their prescription automatically whether they ask for it or not-its my body, I should see my medical record). They recommended 3 different combined prescriptions (distance, reading and blue block) and frames that would total over $500 knowing that was on a budget and wanted to get the Medicaid ones only and then pushed the credit plan (stop doing this also-its pushing unnecessary debt on the poor and exploiting them for your business's financial gain-very immoral for a place that wants to be a community eye care center) I was able to order cheaper glasses online with all the recommended adjustments of the three combined prescriptions for a total of $70 and got them in 2 weeks after my initial visit. I will never return to this location and will vehemently recommend that others don't as well. read more

Disappointing service, over priced frames even with insurance, doctor had a bad attitude, quoted me one price then when I was ready to pay it doubled, when I asked why this happened they said my prescription was high. Which doesn't make any sense to me, they could have told me earlier, and I even called on the phone to make sure about the price! Stay away. read more

The best service I have ever gotten. I had so many issues with finding the right contacts and seeing out of my glasses. In one visit Dr Kashi fixed my vision and he took his time and really listened to me. I also wanted to get glasses that were not covered by my insurance and they gave me a very good deal. I was so happy to find this optical shop near my house. The staff and doctor were super friendly, professional, and patient with me as I tried on a bunch of different frames until I found the ones I liked best. They made using my insurance really easy, and didn't pressure me at all to go above my budget for fancy brand name glasses. They even told me they will have my glasses ready within just a few days! My eye exam includes dilating eyes. They said they couldn't do it that day. So they tried to set-up a different appointment to charge my medical insurance besides my eye insurance and with additional co-pay. Don't fall for it. read more

This optimal was my worst experience apparently it looks luxurious but it is rubbish, first it took me 3 weeks to give me some glasses that did not match my size, then they took them to make the correct measurement 3 more weeks, after my designer glasses broke That they are going to replace me with others after 2 more weeks they gave me other lenses and not even with my measurement so I have to go to pay elsewhere to get my measurement a garbage all and as I see not only have they done this to me already you are used to stealing an OPTICAL GARBAGE read more

If I could leave no stars I would. The service at this facility was ridiculous. I went for an eye appointment on August 11th, the appointment was simple but I was left alone in the examination room and I felt forgotten by the staff. I left two pairs of glasses and was told it would be ready in 7-10 days. So I thought that sounded "normal". But after about a week I noticed there were no calls or text messages about my glasses. So, I called and asked about them, the manager told me it was sent out to a lab after he had tried to pop out the lens. But I wondered why hadn't I received a call about that procedure. Then skipping a few weeks ahead, I called again (notice how many times I have to call and this place is never calling me) and spoke to one of the "nurses" about my glasses and she said they are ready for pick up. So I left on my lunch break and wasted my time going all the way from Brooklyn to Queens for nothing. When I got there NOTHING was ready and I was lied to. Even under the masks, you can tell when someone is snickering at you and it made me feel very uncomfortable and as if I was a fool to these people. Today is September 11th (A WHOLE MONTH) later. I have only received ONE pair, I gave them two pairs of glasses. Now I have to do the waiting game again and they aren't able to track or know when the delivery will come in. The other nurse and doctor that was there were appalled by their behavior but it looked as if they have heard this all before. It's sad to see how customer care is not a serious thing. PLEASE Save your time and patience and go somewhere else. Went in to get an exam for new contacts, very welcoming atmosphere and staff. This place is a piece of junk I went there to get some new glasses and they broke my designer frames and replaced them with some medicaid frames that broke two days later. The workers are incompetent and they don't know how to treat their customer frames with care. They also steal their patients glasses and then give you a portion of what they are worth for. read more

Just walked into Clarity Eye Care on a whim as I am always up for looking for new glasses as well as supporting local businesses. Upon first entering I noticed how clean and organized the shop was. Everyone there was friendly and attentive. I was even greeted by the doctor. In browsing their selections I noticed that they had a great deal of top of the line brands at very good prices. I decided on a Gucci frame as well as a Tom Ford one. Seeing as how my prescription was over a year old Dr. Kashi recommended an exam. They took my insurance so it worked out perfectly. Her office was very clean and she took the time to disinfect all her equipment in front of me. As I am a clean freak that was huge to me. The exam was by far the best experience I have ever had and not to mention she was very thorough. I was so impressed that I decided to purchase both frames. They have certainly earned my return business. If you need frames or contact lenses I highly suggest you take the time to visit Clarity Eye Care yourself. **Update 1/19/18** A week later and my contacts and glasses are ready for me. Clarity Eye Care is absolutely AMAZING ! They've been in my neighborhood of Ridgewood, Queens for several years now, so when I needed affordable glasses, I checked them out and I'm so glad I did. From start to finish, the process could not have been easier. The store is so beautiful and colorful, but simple and streamlined. I had a little trouble picking affordable (insurance-approved) frames from their VAST collection, but I found the perfect frames for me in less than a minute. 1st time they did my glasses right. 2nd time they messed up my prescription and would not admit they did wrong. They said it takes getting used too wait a few days, meanwhile I went to a new doctor who then compared my current glasses to the new ones they gave me and he even said they were not the same prescription, one had higher power.
