Took the quiz online for glasses and contacts. It said my insurance was accepted. Got there and shocker it wasn't. They said $125 out of pocket and I can submit myself. I was going to do it but then they said that they only had me down for glasses when I needed contacts. $179 out of pocket. I left. The whole waste of time cost me $30 in cabs. What is the point of an online quiz if it's all BB? I've purchased their glasses before and really like them. But I'd skip the exam. I'll stick with LensCrafters. read more

Unfortunately I didn't go with my gut. They have their own brand of glasses which is cool but not what I expected. I wear Tiffany and Ray Ban there is none of that. That wasn't the deal breaker. I had my contact exam. I told them I'm struggling with contacts and rarely wear them. Long story short they insisted and I do mean insisted that I buy $345 box that they didn't even have in stock. I told them I'm going to a concert that night they didn't care even though they had samples in stock. I am taking my insurance and business elsewhere. They won't last long with this business I'm sure of it. Lastly, they don't have a direct line. You have to talk to a national customer service. read more

I went in right when they opened today and explained that I needed help adjusting my glasses as it became crooked from placing too much pressure on it. The sales associate took down all my information and then passed on my issue to one of their certified frame specialist who took it to the back counter to get it adjusted. Alex not only fixed my glasses but also give me some tips on how to take care of my glasses as well as some information on frame knowledge. If I were to rate the customer service this would be a 5 star review. But, this is about glasses and the abysmal quality you get with WP. I purchased a set of glasses and after about 1 1/2 months an arm fell off. I was traveling somI went to a nearby WP and they fixed it. Pretty much every month or month 1/2 since then I have had to take the glasses in to have them adjusted: they are constantly coming loose. I don't treat these glasses any different than the RayBans I had prior, yet the RayBans never needed constant adjustment. You pay less, you get less... the old adage holds true yet again. High recommend visiting the Warby Parker in the West Loop/Fulton Market if you are looking for a new pair of glasses. After getting my annual eye exam at my local West Loop optometrist I was quoted over $600 and $700 for a pair of glasses. This was with vision insurance applied to the frames and lenses. I was in shock! I do have astigmatism which requires special lenses but I have never paid that much for a pair of glasses. After I was revived from my brief heart attack of the price quote, I entered Warby and was greeted by a very friendly group who helped me browse a pair of frames that were the right fit. I really like how Warby's frames are displayed in the. Do you have a narrow, medium or wide nose bridge? Depending on the answer there are a number of modern, stylish frames you can try on without any sales pressure. I decided on the Wilkie frame which was $95. I showed Warby my prescription and asked how much it would be for my lenses and they said $30 total. I was like "Excuse me? $30? Did you read my prescription correctly? Did you mean $30 for each lens? Did you mean to say $300 total plus the $95 for the frames?" Nope, the answer was $30 ($95 frames+$30 lens+$50 optional blue light filter=$175 before tax, with tax $176 and some change). I almost had another heart attach inside Warby that all of this was too good to be true. My insurance issues a $30-$40 rebate for out of network claims which if I receive it I'll be happy as it will reduce the total paid. Once you choose a frame, an optometrist will inspect the frames (5 minute process) to ensure they will be fit perfectly on your face. My frames arrived in 9 days (purchased on 12/23, arrived on 1/1) but have been told it can be as soon as 5-7 days if there wasn't a holiday. I was in Dallas for the Christmas and actually purchased the frames there and had it delivered to this location. Again can't speak enough for the service at both locations. It's only been one day with my new glasses but I am satisfied and will strongly recommend Warby to others. read more

Absolutely had the best experience here at this location. Dr Thompson was ready for me when I checked in. Very thorough exam for glasses and contacts. She asked many questions and answered all my questions. I've reached the progressives lens age group and held off for as long as I can. She suggested worthwhile to consider it now without any pressure. Totally my choice. While I was waiting for my eyes to dilate, she had me browse the shop. She introduced me to Jessie (?) and she got to working with me. Within minutes, Meechi joined Jessie to help me with my frame selections. They immediately offered to make suggestions based on my prescription which was helpful to cut down on disappointment with how end product of the glasses would appear with my massive prescription. Meechi also figured out what the copay and cost of glasses would cost with my insurance. Luckily WP is in-network with my insurance. Great Warby Parker location with very sensible staff. read more

I received an annual exam here and was sent home with a prescription and contact lenses. The contacts I was sent home with are different than what are listed on my prescription so I have been unable to reorder the contacts I was given from the doctor. When telling warby parker this, they said it would be minimum 24 business hours before they could assist me further. Instead of confusing patients, set them up with exactly what they need. Additionally found that the doctors here want to up sell you on better lenses, not based on what the patient actually needs. Try other warby parker locations or a different brand altogether. read more

You know...when I think of Warby Parker - I didn't think they would have a great Optometrist - and @WarbyParker, I want to apologize for that! LOL - I had a great experience at their West Loop location and I've been to two previous places with difficulty in getting fit for contacts. Dr. Laura Boyd (sp?) - was wonderful - I didn't have an appointment, she came out and discussed my prescription with me and provided me options - including ordering some trials for me. But also possibly suggesting gas permeable contacts which Warby Parker doesn't even fit for. --- I can't Thank her and the staff there enough for their kindness and willingness to help me! I had no clue what to look for and what's important in picking up the right pair for me. The employee April was phenomenal! She sincerely engaged with me and answer all my "first timer" questions. I recently got my child's prescription renewed for her contacts at Warby Parker here in Chicago at 851 w. Randolph. For the last few years I have bought my glasses and my two kids glasses and contacts at Warby Parker with overall good results. However, after my daughter's recent exam my goal was to purchase my usual supply of three months worth of contacts for her. I was convinced by the sales person to buy a years supply (not cheap!) so I could take advantage of a $200 rebate offer from CooperVision, the maker of the contacts she uses. I ran into some serious snags from the CooperVision company at first as they asked me to submit a proper receipt from Warby Parker - so I had to call Warby Parker and have them issue a receipt with their address on it. By the way, there was never any doubt from my back and forth with CooperVision that this purchase was from Warby Parker but they just needed a better receipt with the address clearly shown. Anyway, I jumped through all their hoops and after uploading the final receipt they told me that Warby Parker is NOT a participating member in their rebate program! Warby Parker has put it on me to find out why, as they say they most assuredly ARE a member of the rebate program. All I've gotten from Warby Parker is a limp apology in an email and CooperVision says that there is nothing they can do and that I need to escalate this through Warby Parker. I am really pissed off that I got suckered into this by Warby Parker and all it has served to do is increase my belief that this is a scam being perpetrated on WP customers perhaps in consort with CooperVision to get them to buy more contacts at full price. I will be posting this everywhere I can, because I am really pissed off about this. I have spent a lot of money with both companies and they are treating me like dirt on their shoe. Dr. Patel is really thorough and down to earth. I really enjoyed our appointment and the ease of getting both contacts and glasses Rx's done, as well as picking out new frames in less than an hour. Granted, my husband and I were the last appointments of the day and we probably lingered too long, but the staff was kind and helpful, even though, I'm sure, they wanted to get the heck outta work! I'm not too original or flashy when it comes glasses, so I was easily able to find frames that suited me well and their price point was an excellent value for my super-blind ass. read more

if I could give it 0 stars I would. this had to be by far the worst experience. this is my first time going to warby parker alone, usually I'm accompanied by my mother. This is the first time at this specific location, and last, please do NOT go here. They are not friendly people, I first walked it I was greeted by a man named "Eddie, or Eddy", long hair, etc etc. I was told they don't accept my insurance. However I could pay upfront and get reimbursed through my insurance. I was 5 minutes late eddy said "let me see if the doctor will still see you". It felt like after he found out they didn't accept my insurance I was pulling teeth. After the eye exam, which may I comment the lady was wonderful and made my experience I was then off to pick frames. No one ONCE greeted me and asked if I needed help after the eye exam. It felt as if I was being watched the entirety of the time by eddie. I didn't like any of the frames, I asked the lady if I can take my prescription someone else since I didn't like the selection. This lady says, I'm going to pick out a FEW frames, wait right here. She proceeds to come back with a off white bulky frame that appeared to be sunglasses. She said it's being discontinued and that they couldn't make them into prescription lenses. Why she gave me them is beyond me. I was being watched the entirety of my time and felt as if I was being judged by Eddy the entirety of my stay. There was even a instance I caught him staring at me, and once I locked back he FINALLY said "is there something u need help with". Warby Parker is all about customer service, my entire family goes to them and has switched over to them for a while, this was terrible and I hope nobody else has to experience this. read more

I have a pretty simple prescription and wanted some new glasses and to try out monthly contacts instead of my dailies. i had ordered the glasses on their site already but they didn't ship because my prescription had expired so i made an appointment for an eye check. super easy on the website. they have the whole COVID system worked out great and are very efficient and nice when you get there. the doctor was really helpful and answered all my questions. then check out was so easy, they used my new prescription to get my order through and used my saved card to pay! by the time i checked that night my glasses order had shipped. great experience read more
