Four of us were riding three bikes from Conway/Myrtle Beach SC to Key West and back two weeks ago. At approximately 16:30 on Tuesday April 14th , our friend's bike, a 2003 100th anniversary Fat Boy broke down near downtown Maimi. We called for a tow and called Peterson HD, who told us we were calling the south location, and we would be better off calling the north location. We called the north location and confirmed with them our situation and we were planning on having the bike towed to them, they let us know they would close at 19:00. The tow truck was having difficulties due to traffic so at approximately 17:30 we called the dealership again to let them know we were still in progress of getting there, they did not answer their phone, so we left a message. Bottom line is we called the dealership a total of four more times (leaving a message of desperation each time), they never answered and to this date they have not returned a call to any of our messages. We ended up getting the bike to an independent shop where they will replace the oil pump. Our friend's rented a car and we continued our journey. We all agreed this is why we do not use HD service departments, they are more interested in the clock and what time they get off rather than their customers or products. On Sunday April 19th while riding through Ocala FL, seven miles beyond War Horse HD on Hwy 301/441 my wife's bike a 2010 Softtail Deluxe just sudenly quit working, while trouble shotting the bike we realized the battery was completely dead, we called War Horse and the woman on the phone let us know that the service department was not open on Sunday but they do have a technician there just in case. We decided to change the battery first and asked if we could purchase one, the woman said of course she would have one ready by the time our friends got there to pick it up. Fourtinately the batter did solve the electrical issue but the bike still would not start, the fuel pump would not engage. We chaned the fuse for the fuel pump and it did not resolve the problem so we arranged a tow for the bike, getting very close to closing time for the dealership, we called, the woman on the phone said they would wait for the bike to arrive. The bike got to the dealership and War Horse was waiting, supprisenly they did pull off the seat and checked the fuses, one of the technicians checked the "ECM" fuse and the fuel pump engaged and the bike started right up. However the question remailed why had the battery died and the fuse blown, a quick diagnostic revealed we needed to replace the stator. We left the bike and felt confident it would be taken care of. On monday my wife got an e-mail confirming the stator needed replacement and was given an estimate and an option of ordering the parts (2 or 7 day delivery). We elected the two day parts delivery and was kept informed of the whole procedure with pictures. We were informed on Friday the was ready, so we rented a trailer and drove down from Myrtle Beach Saturday morning arriving at noonish. The bike was ready as stated. It has been years (2007) since I had trailered a bike, one of the gentlemen gave me pointers and advice on how to tie the bike down so it would not get dammaged, he actually cared about our situation (I wish I had gotten his name). To make a long story short I told the service manager Mike my story, that we rarely use HD service departments because they seem to care more about their hours and makiong money and not their customers or their bikes. However Joey and Justin (and one other person) stayed after hours to assist us on a Sunday (WOW), the service department kept us informed so we knew what was going on and even how to plan out travel to retrieve the bike. Hell Mike even offered to go to Maimi and retrieve our friend's bike and complete the repair. What a fantastic service department, can you guys move to Myrtle Beach!! I am sure there are people who have not been mentioned, but I am terrible with names so I will give a shout out to the who dealership. Although we love to ride our harleys (avg 8000 - 1200 mi / yr), we rarely by Harley shirts (although we do have several from long ago), but we wanted to show our appreciation and went to the cloting department and purchased shirts for us and our friends who were very impressed with your service department as well. I live in Orlando and was interested in a used motorcycle. As it's too far to just stop by, I requested an out the door price on the bike I was interested in and provided all info for my trade. No response. When someone finally did contact me, I was given a low-ball offer for my trade (half of kbb trade-in value) while they didn't move $1 down on theirs. Done. Communication was horrible and I remembered why I've bought my previous bikes directly from the owners. I moved on quickly, too many addons for me. This is my experience. I had seen the bike I was interested and spoke to the salesperson had an agreement on the price. I had asked the dealership to cover shipping when the price was negotiated. Hesitantly they kept trying to change the terms of the deal. Now I should pay for the shipping! I expressed to them that this was not our agreement. So finally, he agreed to Facilite the transportation of the bike. Or so I thought until this morning when I called to check in and to see what progress he had made. Needless to say, he informed me that he had sold the bike this weekend out from underneath our agreement. And if that isn't bad enough the bike is still for sale on the website as well as cycle Trader. Thanks, Drew, for your lack of professionalism and courtesy's. Stopped in at War Horse Harley Davidson this past weekend to have a look around. While I am not in the market for a new motorcycle at this time, I like to keep my knowledge abreast of what is out there, because at some point it is going to be time to replace one of my bikes. Plus, I really enjoy looking at the various bikes that are out there. Now, this is Harley Davidson, where you pay for the name first, and then the product. The product is good, mind you, but you really pay for that price, and walking around new bikes whose average cost is in the $30k range is kind of disheartening. I don't have that kind of money to throw around on a bike which doesn't even really suit my riding preferences. However, they do have other bikes there that are not so expensive, like their 750cc ones that I noticed have had some improvements made to them since they were first released a couple of years ago (they put a pad on top of the exhaust pipe where your heel would naturally rest! That always seemed like a poor design choice!) The store itself is clean and well presented, and they have plenty of H-D merchandise if all you want is a T-Shirt or jacket. The folks there are also very happy to help out, and I was asked multiple times if there was anything I was looking for, etc. They also had water available, which is a godsend for a rider who has just spent the last couple of hours on the road in the Florida heat. Props to them for that! While I didn't purchase anything, I did have a good experience. The likelihood of my purchasing a motorcycle from them is low, but that is not their fault, but rather my own in my own personal preferences. read more

First off, I've visited almost every harley dealership in Florida and believe what I'm about to say about this place. It blew my mind!! From the minute I drove into when I left, they provided 5 star customer service in all areas. The staff here is one of the finest I've ever met for a company of this size. I visited to get information on my harley gear I'm selling and needed a professional to assist me. She was so courteous, polite and very helpful. The rest of the staff also exceeded in customer service. They went above and beyond - but really when it comes to Harley Davidson they are just living up to the name! All others do not come close! When they sell you any of the extended polocies on your ride, they neglect to tell you how long it takes to get a pro-rated refund when it's cancelled early. IT'S AN ASTONISHING 8-10 WEEKS!! THIS IS PROOF THAT WHEN THE MONEY IS TAKEN JUST DAYS AFTER THE CONTACT IS FUNDED, THERE IS NO DESIRE TO LET IT COME BACK TO IN LESS THAT 70 DAYS. Suggest you have it written in your contract, explicitly for a more reasonable time frame. If they cannot accommodatemodate your request, turn it down or walk away away from the deal. There's planty of dealerships in Florida and any other states that are not owned by RideNow. I willl never do business with any store that owned by RideNow and I have owned dozens of Harleys in my lifetime. Poor customer service after the sale!! read more

I contacted War Horse Harley Davidson on a Sunday morning to let them know I would be up there (I live in Tampa FL) on Monday to test ride a 2018 Deluxe I was interested in. I got my family together and drove 1 1/2 hours to get there. When I arrived, the salesperson could not locate the bike and after some searching it was found back in the service department on a battery tender. The bike was very hesitant to start so the salesman asked the service personnel to check the battery out. After waiting about 1/2 an hour he went back to check on the progress. After about 15 minutes he came back and told me the battery was bad, but they had a technician swapping it out for a new one. While I waited my son and I looked at a 2024 Road Glide he was interested in possibly purchasing. Well we waited and waited! After another 45 minutes I got the salesman to go back and check on the battery change. He came back and told me "They pulled the technician off the battery change to do something else. Needless to say, I wasn't very happy, so my wife and I asked to speak to a manager. We told the manager what happened, we didn't feel like our business was being appreciated, and after being at the dealership for about 2 hours now we had to leave because we had a hungry 2-year-old grandson that needed to eat. The manager didn't seem to be concerned' told us to come back after we ate, and he would see what he could do. " Now I absolutely love the style of the Softail Deluxe and there is a 90+ % chance I would have ridden that bike out of there. Not only did I not go back but my son is now looking for his Road Glide elsewhere. That's a possible 2 bike ($40,000) lost sales opportunity. We spent more than a couple of hours at this store with an attempt to purchase a used bike. The bike was marked at 3.995.00. That was before tax and title. We asked for the out the door price before driving it. It was 5,000.00. After my husband drove it, because they do not allow a passenger which is fine, they would not honor the price. The price is now over 6,000.00 because they said they mismarked the bike. They are now saying its their dealer fees, etc. The General Manager called me back again refusing to honor the price, telling me to go look at prices online. I went to this motorcycle dealership in Ocala,Fl.to cancel an extended warranty I had on a Tri-Glide, which was totaled in an accident. Met Adam, finance manager. This person took the information and went into his office. He came out a little while later to tell me this warranty was expired. I knew otherwise. Later spoke with Vic, salesperson. I was looking for a certain used motorcycle, which turned out was in stock. After speaking with Vic he turned me over to Adam. Adam gave me numbers based on 3 years, I asked uf he could re do the numbers for 5 years, which Adam stated I will do this when you purchase the bike. I asked about extended warranty prices. Adam again, stated their are various warranties, I will go over them when you purchase the bike. I felt more like a burden than a customer. I returned the next day, spoke to Todd, Todd ran the extended warranty number, I still had 2 years and will get a refund. In my opinion Adam did not really check. I went Monday spoke to Vic purchased the motorcycle. Trevor another finance manager saw the deal to its completion. Everyone was top notch, with one exception. read more

There is a new owner as of 9/1/19 so the reviews before that date don't mean much except that you will find how much better this group is. They have a fun management team, you can hang out, grab a bottle of water, watch TV cool off and nobody hassles you. I have been part of their H.O.G. Fantastic experience. We were new riders and had been looking at a few dealerships and stopped into War Horse to see if they had the specific bikes we were interested in. We met Josh who spent about 2 hours answering every silly question we had as we moved from bike to bike. We then spent a few days thinking over options. Josh responded multiple times at all hours. He answered our questions and never pressured us. The dealership came back to us with extremely fair pricing. Frankly, this made the purchase decision a no-brainer. They did some insurance work on my bike after I was rear ended. Called and said my bike would be finished by 3:30 that afternoon and would be out for test drive and wash. I arrived at 4:30 signed final complete work order and two, checks for parts and service payment from insurance company. On my way home I noticed they did not switch out the fuel tank that had a small dent on the side. Called them and they had elaborate story as to why not but had received payment of $1048 dollars for tank plus labor in addition. My foot pegs were also replaced improperly and the next day when I went to retrieve my old parts I was informed that my brake line was also too tight but would be ok "for now" whatever that means. I had a blow out on rear tire Saturday at 3:45pm, called service desk and Warhorse harley had a truck there to tow in my bike at 4:10, I was 19 miles from dealer, after getting to dealer at 4:40 I had my girlfriend come to pick me up but the dealer said they would put new tire on, 5:45 my bike was test driven and done, very professional and Ted (the tow driver was great) would highly recommend Warhorse Harley to buy new bike and most importantly there service. Bought my bike here brand new in 2018 at the "old ownership" dealership. Went to visit war horse a couple weeks ago to see what the hype was on the "new ownership" and I was very disappointed. They barely had any bikes outside and the ones that they did, they had so much pollen and dirt and dust collected on them. Now these are 30k dollar bikes we're talking about!! And they are trying to sell them with shit all over them?! That's disappointing considering they had plenty of staff inside trying to sell t shirts more than bikes that could have been wiping them down at least. They didn't have a band playing, no free food, no bike wash. And this was a beautiful sunny Saturday!? I asked why nothing was going on and she gave me half an explanation saying that "we don't like our riders drinking". Like really lady?! lol. That's all us bikers do is ride around listen to live music and drink beer. Most likely won't be back unless things change for the better. I bought a new 2017 Road King here. It's my first Harley, though I've purchased many, many, motorcycles over the years (e.g., BMW, Ducati, KTM, Yamaha, Suzuki, etc.). The salesmen were attentive and courteous. They were not pushy at all. I would describe them as honestly enthusiastic and excited about their machines. It was easy to get a test ride and even an extended one. The financial and delivery part of the transaction was smooth and they did everything they promised they would with no need for me to ask twice about anything. I bought a jacket there as well and that was a pleasant experience too. From what I can tell, this is a dealership of motorcycle enthusiasts. They told us when we made an appointment that they honored the latest $49.95 coupon from Harley for H-D 360 oil change. But as usual that changed when We showed up . Oh no, they said our company isn't participating in that promotion. Sorry, but that oil change will be $120.00 ..This isn't first time we've had this experience but will be the last! We will drive hundred miles to avoid this dealership!! They obviously don't care about their customers!! Just the money!! I recently drove my 1964 Harley Chopper to their location for a bike and car show. When I arrived I noticed that my brake light and three of the four tail marker lights were out. I went into the service department and told the service rep about my lights and that I had to ride it home and was worried about getting rear-ended or stopped by the police. He came out and looked at my bike and said he would have to check with his supervisor to see if they could work on it. He came back and told me that they will not work on it because they don't want to be liable for the wiring. What? So I had to ride it home with no brake lights and one running light. I got home and found that all of the bulbs were simply burned out. It would have taken 5 minutes to unscrew the lens and sell me three bulbs. I went in for a brake light warning light and he took my bike and fixed it within 15 minutes and did not charge me because it was an install issue that I had done. I bought a 2017 Street Glide from Warhorse in 2017, since then I have added a lot of upgrades to my bike. Under the previous owners everything was perfect, if you had a problem, they fixed it. When these new owners took ownership, customer service went out the door!!! I am so pissed off right now by the way I have been treated, disrespected and lied to. I am trying so hard to handle this situation diplomatically and not go down there and demolish that place like they did my bike. Warhorse place people lives in great jeopardy, I bought a 21" rim and chrome forks from Warhorse, on the finished installed, the front finder was digging into my front tire. I bought LED's lights to accent the chrome on my bike, the wires are so visible and lose until it looks like a toddler did the work, and they put the switch in an area where as though you burn your hand every time you touch the switch. I bought extended saddlebags (white), my bags are burnt because Warhorse installed them touching the exhaust. And what is more disturbing, someone was riding my bike for a long period of time while my bike were in their care. When I discovered the fender digging in my tire, I was at a bike function in Panama City, FL. I had just filled my tank with gas and was recleaning my bike from the ride up there. So I called my dad to come get my bike because I was to afraid to ride it back home in that condition, when we got home, I finished detailing my bike. I called Warhorse that Monday, they picked up my bike Friday. 3 weeks later, 22 May 21, they delivered my bike to my house in the the most filthy, dirty, lovebug stained condition that you can imagine and my gas tank was empty!!! I was hurt, angry and disgusted, even the delivery guy was embarrassed. The lovebugs had been on my bike so long until there was chipped marks on my paint. I called the GM and told him just what I just wrote in this review, his response to me was "Because of the covid, companies are taking a little more time in delivering tires." I then asked for Cooperate number, but to no avail. I am about to lose it, I am so fed up with the way they have destroyed my bike... As a long time Harley owner, both my wife and I love our Harley's and our Harley brother and sisters. And because of this fact I must tell you about my HORRIBLE experience at Ocala Harley. It started with something as simple as buying well over $200.00 of motor clothes, and returning a t-shirt, that when washed, (the colors ran on the emblem.) The lady that called herself a manager immediately had an attitude, and said "I've never seen this before???) as if we were trying to scam a T-shirt??? Really??? Then we had our problem interrupted by a large woman, who decided her manager was being verbally abused, and had to take over, she told the manager to go to her office and told us "I'm the CFO, do you know what that means??" Yelling and pointing her finger at my wife's face! I've never, ever been so insulted by a business that we give so much business to, "HARLEY" not to mention the other stuff we bought, the t-shirt that ran, was a silly $23.00 Ocala t-shirt yellow in color. My parents live in Ocala and we have been visiting for years. never have I had to deal with such poor customer service. Not only that, then the manager decided that we would get our money back, because I didn't want an exchange to advertise for such a bad experience store, then the Large woman CFO, as she liked to be called said "no cash exchange read the receipt" over what the manager was saying, really??? I'm no whiner, and I can take a lot but when it comes to customer service, this place was Horrible! My word of mouth for this place is two thumbs down. Still so shocked about how we were treated, and not used to being treated like that, especially from a Harley Store. We come from Earl Smalls Harley in Marrietta and Cartersville Georgia, where they know how valuable return customers are and how powerful word of mouth is. Sad to say that if you value life and limb I would never recommend this dealership for service. What kind of dealership lets a bike go out the door with new LED lights and turn signals that don't work? What kind of dealership puts a front wheel on BACKWARDS?? and then tries to charge us for it? What kind of dealership cleans a carburetor and gives it back with a broken fuel line, missing gaskets and seals and an air filter that is dated 2009? What kind of dealership has a work order for a new LED headlight with specific instructions to not put it in if they don't clean the lens (granted, they made that mistake right) chips a big chunk of paint off the front fender during this process (they had it repainted but of course it doesn't match the rest of the bike). When the front brake pretty much failed due to the front wheel being on backwards, service sent out a trailer to pick it up. The wrong trailer was brought in that as it was being rolled up into the chuck, scraped the freshly painted, mismatching front fender. I escalated all these situations to the GM, as they are safety issues and didn't want it happening to somebody else and he promised he'd pull all our service records to see how much time, money and frustration this has caused. Upon follow up with him, he hadn't bothered to pull any service records and had little to no interest in my concerns going forward. It's pretty sad and pathetic that certified HD mechanics don't even know how to put on a front tire or check to see that turn signals work. Will never go back for service. On a positive note, the girls in motor clothes are amazing! The sales, service and management should take a page from their book on customer service. read more

The one star is for the salesman - Mike McDonald. No stars for Chris or the fast talking female who rushes you through signing the paperwork. 6/25/16 Friend arrived at War Horse Harley Davidson. He traded a 2007 HD FXSTD for a 2014 HD Street Glide. Didn't receive test drive he asked for. He was misquoted monthly payment and insurance. The final document with the financial data was signed last after 7:00 p.m. and he felt rushed. 6/26/16 He arrived at War Horse HD approx. noon to return the 2014 HD. He gave salesman 3 reasons he did not like the bike. They offered to let him try new Softtail and trade for it. He told them he wanted his Deuce. Salesman text financial manager and was told to tell him paperwork had been transmitted. He was told to return to dealership and bring his co-signer the following day. On the way home Eaglemark Savings Bank was contacted. Staff member said the office is not open on weekends. HD Financial Office was contacted. Recording stated office is not open on weekends. Both open Mon-Fri 8-5 PST. Called and spoke with a different HD dealership. Was told no paperwork could be electronically submitted on the weekend. Called & informed War Horse what we had been told about weekend transmittal's. 6/27/16 Arrived at War Horse HD at 8:55 am. 2014 HD was on sales lot. Chris said he was waiting on HD. At 9:45 he told us we should leave-they couldn't help us until 11 (like I had been told Sun). Returned at 10:55 and bike was no longer on sales lot. Was asked to test drive other bikes. Test drove 3-told them wanted my Deuce back. At 2:00 was shown an amortization on computer screen for Deuce. New amount owed $13,250 (original amount owed $13,179). Payment would be $252 for 6 years. Lost my GAP and Warranty (over $2,000). Had no choice but to say. Left then called back at 3:45 to tell them to get the paperwork ready. Returned with co-signer at 4:45. Paperwork finally done at 6. Asked to sign financial paperwork first. Asked to see statement that had amount owed & payment amt. Financial person refused to show it. He said "remember-it's $252. Returned to the car and found the Promissory Note. Interest rate had increased from 7.90% to 10.85%. Complaint has been filed with Better Business Bureau and will be filed with Harley Davidson as it is the law to provide a Promissory Note with all of the facts and figures before the trade. Stay away from this dealership! Honesty is not one of their virtues. read more
