Walt's was a blessing. I will be taking my car ONLY to Walt's from now on. I have an older Prius, long out of warranty. The brakes went out and a relative replaced them but the dash lights didn't go out. Toyota's solution was to replace the new brakes with new brakes for $3600. My son suggested Walt's. They double checked the brakes and bled them, no issues. Then they checked the computer system, which Toyota had done, and found the problem for ONLY $160. Got a brake job there. Service was great and ontime. Price was a little high for what I had done. The price should have been less, given how far I had to go to drop off car, find a ride back home. Was driving with my family in class A RV through Ocala when my brakes started binding up. Called all other shops in the area and they were all booked a week out. Called Walt's and they had me in the same day. Within a few days all the rotors, calipers, and master brake cylinder was replaced and we drove back to Washington problem free. read more

Had issue starting my diesel in cold weather dropped off my truck on Monday told them it won't start in cold weather so they kept it over 1 week and still couldn't figure out something you can test for with a electric meter or common sense did nothing about the problem,never called me with updates and I gave up and picked it up and they shamelessly still charged me $75 for doing absolutely nothing just wanted to update my review. After my horrible experience with these hacks I took a look under my hood and found the old batery cable ends just sitting on my radiator cover. Had I not checked I could have killed someone. My husband broke down on Rt. 40 and had our old Chevy truck towed to Walt's...They told him he had two days free and then they would charge him $25 a day for storage... When he got back to Walt's on day THREE he had a bill waiting for $75.00... Not a very nice way to treat an old veteran on a fixed income... Shame on you!!!!!! read more

We broke down on our way out of state. We were towing a trailer with a Harley. Not only did they tow our car but the owner came to tow the trailer. Our vehicle was immediately taken in, inspected and fix within a couple hours and we were on our way. They were great to work with. Would highly recommend them. read more

I took my motorhome over for an inspection and one of the items needing service was a transmission leak. All repaired on time and I was pleased to find a new place for serving my vehicles. Fast forward a few weeks and I notice a transmission leak in the same spot. Fast forward again and I'm back at walts. While it's there I ask they inspect the front bearings and alignment. I get a call from walts and it turns of the mechanic used the wrong part leading to the transmission leak. ( all repaired n/c. I'm also told there was a little metal in the front bearing oil but the bearing seemed ok so they changed the fluid and put the old bearings back in. IMHO the bearings should have been replaced. Then I'm told the can't do the alignment because the leaf springs are weak and a tie rod has play. I pick up the vehicle and I'm shocked to get $1000 bill. I take the motorhometo a spring specialist and I'm told the leaf springs are fine and the tie rod is missing a boot cover but absolutely tight and no play. The second shop does the alignment. I really hoped to get great service from walts but sending me on a road trip with incorrect parts causing a transmission leak was an anxiety I didn't need. Miss diagnosing an alignment as weak leaf springs and tie rod ends was strike two. Getting a $1000 bill and not replacing bearings that has shaved metal in the oil was strike 3. Bummer as I'm still looking for a reputable shop with good mechanics. Good luck walts but now you know why I'm not there anymore, Jack&Molly Coyne read more

They stand by ALL of their work and never make a repair without first discussing with us to get our approval. I have had to take my car back several times to be fixed because it was not fixed right, come to find out they put a used part on my truck and charged me for a new part!!!! the first time it was there they had it for 2 weeks, the second time it was a week the third time it was a week finally I took it somewhere else to be fixed that is how I found out they put a used part on there. read more

My name is donna clark aka peachy, a disney artist. On the way home from vacation my serpentine belt broke and wrapped around the fan. A mechanic at loves truck stop cut the belt off and sent me around to ( the best mechanics around) he said. I was driving my dodge ram with me boat in tow. I made it to walts just before closing, they got a newbelt and pulley delivered and put on in about an hour. I was amazed at how fast they were, what a great job they did and how friendly they were. I enjoyed being stranded and the pleasure of talking to walt about football and fishing. In my book walts is the best mechanic i've ever met. He has a great crew working for him. I was referred to Walt's Brake and More by B & E RV Service and Repair for servicing our Winnebego Itaska SunFlyer motor home's engine. They (Walt, Rusty and John) put in a great deal of time working to resolve a problem we were having with the cruise control. They also reviewed other issues and made recommendations that were great. They worked hard at our primary problem (with the cruise control) and they took time to explain and show what they had done. The big problem with the cruise control was that it was so intermittent -- it would fail while I was traveling; but, it would work whenever I took it in to Walt's -- very, very frustrating for everyone.) We simply could not get a solid failure; and they tried many different things to try to get it to fail; but, we just could not get a solid failure out of it. So, they came up with a plan for things for me to try while on the road. Their interest and "caring" was simply awesome (from everyone.) They have stood by me and I am convinced that they will get to the bottom of the problem.
