PatRick's Auto & Truck Repair - Brakes NOT locked

PatRick's Auto & Truck Repair

(21 reviews)

0 Brakes locked?/$4000 to repair?…read moreRV was riding rough. We knew we needed tires but wasn't sure about anything else it might need. Took to PatRicks for an estimate/diagnosis. Drove 45 minutes to them. They said our front brake was locked up. ??No hot smell, no pulling. Said we needed brakes done and it would cost around $4000 . ??? What the heck! $4000 FOR BRAKES??? Charged us $150 for their 'diagnosis'. Drove back 45 miles, used a thermal gun to check temps on wheels...NORMAL. Took RV to a different garage. Brakes NOT locked up. 65% good brakes on front, 70% on rear. Got new tires all around, drives great. Less than a thousand dollars for all new 10ply tires, ZERO BRAKE WORK. SO....PATRICK'S IS A LYING SHYSTER GARAGE. Our opinion. You can form your own.

I purchased 6 new tires for my RV and told them to repair left rear air bag. When I got home I checked the air in the tires and every tire had different amount of air. I aired up the air bag and glory b the bag would hold air. I called PatRicks and they said can you bring it in and we'll check it out. I just got home and no and I'm not bringing it back, it's 20+ miles. 2. My rv started leaking from the rear differential. The generator would not start. I went to PatRicks told them about the problems, and asked them to change oil filter in rv and oil filter in generator. When I finally got it back and $1600.00 later I parked it in my driveway and 2 days later I discovered the oil was still leaking from the rear differential. Again I called and the service writer can bring it in and I had no choice. I took pictures of the leaking and clearly the rear end had not had a socket/wrench on it. It was still rusty looking with no indication it had been touched. I took it back and picked it couple days later they said there's no charge. On my receipt charge for rear end repair. $347 On my receipt charge for generator repair. $347

Took no time to install and I was on my way and it was much cheaper than going to the dealership. Fast forward a few days and my cars displayed an alert that my blind side detector was not working and I needed to see the dealer. Reached back out to Butch and he came out to diagnosis. We both figured it was due to the after market mirror I told him to go with and not one directly from the dealer. We were right. He ordered a new one that would fix the issue and was back out to install within days. Even though I should've gone with the dealer mirror initially, it was still much cheaper. His prices, service, warranty and kindness are unmatched. Highly recommend!

I called Butch to diagnose and repair my classic 87 Buick Grand National with an HVAC system that…read morehadn't worked since I purchased the car in 2018. Butch handled the diagnosis with precision and expertise, taking the time to thoroughly inspect the system instead of just guessing at the issue. Butch explained the problems in clear, simple terms, from worn components to tricky wiring that comes with age. What impressed me most was his respect for the originality of my vintage GM car. The A/C now runs ice-cold and the airflow feels just like it did when the car was new. It's rare to find technicians who understand the unique challenges of vintage GM HVAC systems, but Butch absolutely delivered. Honest, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft--if you own a classic GM, this is the man to trust

Long story short, my AAA tow truck driver recommended PALS. I looked them up on yelp and was worried as their reviews weren't great. As soon as we got there, they let my dogs into their air conditioned lobby. My car was fixed by 11:00 the next morning. They recommended a pet friendly hotel, were in contact with me about the repairs, and were just overall super friendly and professional. It turned out to be the fuel pump which is the 2nd time this has happened. This came with a 3 year warranty. They found 1 at a dealership and had me up and running. I highly recommend.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at PALS Auto was frustrating and expensive…read more I brought my car in for a check engine light. I was given a diagnosis and was told it would be done by lunchtime -- I waited until closing, only to find out my now non-starting car wouldn't be ready until tomorrow. (This was supposed to be a 2.5hr repair) I was then told it needed a part on backorder (4-6 weeks). I found the part myself in minutes with two phone calls. Communication was terrible, and when I decided to take my car elsewhere, I was charged over $2,000 -- they even tried to charge me for the part they hadn't even installed, stating it was non refundable. I had to fight to get my non-working car back. I towed it to the dealership, who fixed the extra issue, created by PALS, in 10 minutes and sent me a video to prove it. I'm now out thousands for incorrect repairs, delays, and poor service. Avoid this place.
