Being a nursing student that needs a quiet space to study, do homework and also take exams with Respondus Lockdown Browser, I was looking for something that met all my needs. Oh, and of course coffee and food too. Well, I found that and MORE here at Wantable Cafe. Not only is it FREE to come here--no monthly subscription unlike some other remote work cafes but they also let you reserve noise cancelling pods. Two pods have couches where a few people can sit and work together and one pod is for a solo person working--or like in my case having to take an exam with dead quietness, no people, pets and be heavily scrutinized. The rest of the cafe has a bunch of tables ranging from 2 people to groups of 6 people, couches, comfy chairs AND lots of plug outlets. So there is plenty of space for you and others if you need it. Now let's get to the good part---the FOOD. The have gourmet pizza slices sold by the ounce, gourmet cannolis (the matcha and chocolate was to die for), breakfast sandwiches, bowls, snacks, basically everything you could want to set up shop. Plus wine and beer! My only wish is that they were open 24/7 because I also work 3rd shift and finding anywhere to study without waking up my wife and disturbing my precious dog is difficult. read more

First time here. Stopped in early for a hot beverage and pastry. Didn't really know that this place existed until I did a search for coffee shops in the Walker's Point area. It's down a side street off of 1st Street, so it's easy to miss. It's a brick building sitting on the corner, with just enough signage to let you know you're at the right place. Inside is a large area that is both a coffee shop and a coworking/collaboration space to help people connect. There are large tables for groups, small tables for couples, or work pods for privacy. Great idea! They have the usual barista favorites, along with smoothies, breakfast, and lunch items. When I arrived, there were several other people working on their laptops. Met the friendly barista and ordered my usual London Fog Tea Latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla, extra foam). They didn't have scones (so sad), but they did offer some nice bakery items that they source from Stone Creek Coffee. After several minutes, my London Fog was ready, along with the Morning Bun. They did a nice job with the drink, it was the perfect temperature (about 140F), and the pastry was warmed up nicely as well. During my time there, other people started to show up, but the noise level was good. Conversations were quiet and respectful of others. Wantable is such a vibe! I forget about this top-tier co-working space, so was happy to make a recent return. This (more-than-a) cafe is massive. There are tons of tables spread out, and even the quiet booths at the back that you can rent for private meetings and calls. Huge high top for group work or gathers, low tops to sit at with your laptop, or a book, or one of the many great menu items you can grab at from the counter. I had their turkey cobb recently and let me tell ya, it hit the spot. Smokey turkey, chedd, bacon, avo, tomato, and greens made a great combo on the lightly toasted multigrain bread. Also, the side salad I went for was better than your basic side salad, including the dressing. Oh and I had myself an iced latte which was made fresh in front of me but then served in a cutie can situation. Fun twist on a good drink. Clearly people come here to co-work and grab a bite to eat or coffee, but this is no doubt a great spot for events of all kind, too. I'll be back. read more

This is a cool cool space in Milwaukee! I am happy I stumbled across it. The space inside is wide and open and offers plenty of seating options for working, networking and collaboration. It's clean and trendy. I'll also say the service was also very quick and friendly. I learned this cafe got new ownership in May so the menu is newer! I just got a latte and it was perfecto! This is a really great cafe perfect for meetings, studying, you name it! It's HUGE with ample space to accommodate any size. My brother in law who was in the area from Chicago asked me for a recommendation coffee/lunch spot for him to do his virtual work and he really really liked Wantable, saying that he particularly enjoyed the overall open space and plenty of light vibes, and the music was not too loud! I. Love. Wantable Cafe! Stumbled into this spot with zero clue from the outside the goodness that lies within. What a gem of a coffee shop they have here in Walkers Point. It's an order at the counter (or electronic kiosk) and they'll bring you your order. Both times I stopped by I got one of their specialty lattes (amazing) and a breakfast sandwich (delicious!). The service is friendly and efficient and the prices are reasonable. The real star of the show, though? The space! So much space for working, business meetings, meeting friends, or even a coffee date. The space is sleek and comfortable. It's not terribly noisy so you could definitely get work done here easily. That said, if you need it to be completely quiet, they have some work pods you can reserve. If you want to reserve them ahead of time, there's a fee. Or, you can stop by and get put on the list (without a fee). There is a limit to the amount of time you can be in the pod (I think an hour and a half but not 100%). We will definitely be back. Often. This is one of those places that I would gatekeep if I could, but the way that I walked inside excited to seat myself, find a spot to grind out some work, and grab myself a cup of caffeine for the morning. Wantable Cafe is the ideal, futuristic workspace that I'm surprised more of the Milwaukee suburbs haven't picked up on. The spaciousness of the cafe, the numerous outlets, the cute little pods (there's plenty of pictures from other Yelpers), and the quick QR code menu service (or you can order at the front)- all of which are so important for a conducive-outside-working environment! Moreover, there's a parking lot to park in which is so greatly appreciated when you're driving into Downtown Milwaukee trying to find a place to study. SF VANILLA LATTE: The coffee beans, I'm positive were ones that you could find at Anodyne so it felt nice to be able to bring a piece of another coffee shop to this one and turn it into a working space. The latte was smooth, creamy, and just right. MATCHA LATTE: My friend got the matcha latte which she says to not get again here. My opinion on matchas at cafes is that it really depends on the barista! The drink ended up being more milk than it was matcha powder, which hadn't tasted like it dissolved into the drink. I'll definitely be back :) It helps to get work done when you're seeing other people also on their grind! read more

I am so disappointed in this cafe. I used to come here every month due to its ambiance, big working place, and food. The recently updated their menu and seems to be on the lower quality side. Everything is premade/reheated/packaged now (before you got fresh meals). The food quality has decreased with the same or higher prices. They even removed their cute cups. This is just a regular coffee spot compared to before. I'd honestly give it a 2.5 stars just for the working space and outlets. Food and coffee I'd give a 2. Wantable Cafe is truly the Millennial's quintessential idea of a study coffee spot. There's a wide selection of drinks and food available. Reasonably priced at that. The drinks are non-alcoholic or alcoholic. Boozy studying ain't never hurt anyone. I ordered the 16 oz cappuccino and the breakfast burrito. Everything came out relatively quick. I waited no more than 5 minutes. There's a wide array of seating. There's tables, booths, and couches. And, there are a lot of outlets. The essential item for any strong study space. Everyone is in study mode and the music isn't too loud in the space. You can truly buckle down and get some work done here. read more

It's great for during the day if you want to work and get some things done at a coffee shops, it offers happy hour for them after work hangs with friends and their food is good. It's been significantly upgraded this past year and I'm here for. The people are great and the vibes are right for a co-working spot. It can get a bit loud at time but they do offer small pods to take work calls in. I'd recommend bringing your headphones if you're needing to tune out the noise. read more

This is my spot! It's a really dope coffee shop that also becomes a bar in the evenings that everyone should check out. It is also in my opinion the best WFH in Milwaukee. I haven't tasted too wide of a variety when it comes to all the coffee Wantable has to offer, but the ones I've had have been amazing! I've also haven't really had their food or really looked at their drink menu either. I know now you're probably asking "why is this place so amazing then?" Well read on and you'll find out. Where Wantable shines brightest is it's atmosphere! The cafe/bar is so beautiful. Having garage doors that open and close depending on the weather is such a vibe. On top of this the cafe has so much seating and space. They have a variety of tables and chairs, which I really enjoy the high tables so I can stand and work. There are also plenty of outlets at tables and walls throughout the cafe that makes it super accommodating. Finally the staff is super awesome and friendly. So why is this my spot? Work from home model is great but I love humans and this spot gave me an opportunity to feel connected to others at my previous job when I was feeling extremely alone. Visited this location while in town for a business trip. Unique space for a cafe. Very open and many people there having meetings. I opted for the lunch special and it was delightful. I can't remember what exactly was on the croissant sandwich. We also started with a chipotle hummus that came with pita, carrot sticks, and cauliflower. I didn't taste much of the chipotle. It really just tasted like regular hummus, but was still good. Parking is limited. I would def pay attention to the no parking zones. I sat it because I received a $35 parking ticket. read more
