Decent chicken wings, a little heavy on the sauce. They were a second stop on a food crawl, recommended by someone on the first stop of the food crawl.

I love an Asian and soul food combo, especially on some delicious wangs. It was a hot day, so we made a Grubhub delivery order. Even if you came in person, it's more of a takeout spot with only a single small table to eat at. The order arrived quickly in less than half an hour from ordering. Everything was still hot and crispy as I could smell the delicious aroma from the boxes. We ordered 6pcs of Wangs ($22) and Half Fried Chicken ($18). Do note that they usually recommend 3 wangs per person, which might not seem like a lot, but it is because you get the full wing from the tip to the drumette. I probably could've stopped at 3 wangs, but the half chicken definitely made me overstuffed. The wangs are a must here! It's a spicy and sweet Korean-style fried chicken wing covered in garlic, green onions, spicies, and a delicious Wang's Hot Sauce. I also enjoyed the fried chicken, which was your standard American style fried chicken with a sauce on the side. The chicken came with huge pieces that was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. I paired this with the Ginger and Garlic Aioli, which had a sweetness to it. I almost question if I got the wrong sauce, but it was still good. Overall, delicious and unique wangs. It can get a bit messy while eating, but absolutely worth it.

This place never disappoints and I'm finally giving it a review. I have frequented this place for years and the chicken remains as juicy as the first time I had it. It's a small menu that excels in what they're good at, the fried chicken. The chicken sandwich is a take on Vietnamese bao, it was 10/10 and the fried half chicken was the icing on the cake 10/10. Friendly counter staff and although no indoor seating you can post up out front and people watch 4th Ave traffic with their boardwalk tables and seating. Love this place. Try all the sauces, there's a lot of options.

I totally forgot to take photos! I was starvinnggg when I ordered this! French fries were pretty good. Love the seasoning that's on them. They weren't hot tho which was kind of annoying . Imma break down these wings tho! Soo when I order wings for the first time somewhere if there is the option to have the sauce on the side, I order it that way because I wanna taste how well the wings are seasoned by itself . With that being said, the wings were perfectly crispy . Nice crunch and cooked well on the inside. However they were bland. That sauce tho! That sauce is hittin'! Maybe they under season on purpose because of how flavorful the sauce is but idk I like to taste layers of flavor when I bite into it a piece of chicken. I would def order them again tho! I got the spicy sauce which truthfully not really spicy so if you like mild buffalo sauce then you can handle the spice level here Cornbread was dry by itself I had to put the scallion butter on it and then microwave it so it melted into the bread for it be nice moist and yummy. And id also pass on the Mac n cheese. Overall tho, I would order from here again. Strictly spicy wings and fries!

The wings were excellent! It was sweet and spicy. The chili flakes that were on these fried chicken wings is so enticing for a person who loves spicy like me! Ordering and getting the food was quick. We ate it immediately on the chairs and tables in front of the window.

Yummy chicken wings. I ordered online which was swift and quick . This is a outdoor dining location. I hope that they are able to open at a larger location. Overall it tasted amazing

We jokingly call wings WANGS in our house , so when this showed this place showed up on my Google search I know I had to go. It's a window front ,so order ahead or on spot and take out . There 2 tables on the side walk if your intentions are for sitting. Since I get really feral when it comes to wings I decided to take out. After driving about 2 blocks I couldn't resist the tantalizing scents coming from our carry out bag so we pulled over and devoured meals in the car . The Wangs...I mean wings, were spot on delicious . - Crispy, crunchy skin, juicy meat and the Wang Ho Sauce is finger licking good. Sweet ,spicy ,sticky and I didn't spare the remnants at the bottom of the box either. They serve the entire wing -drum,flat and tip. The wings are big, after 2 I was getting pretty full. The Mac and Cheese was also very good. There's panko crumb topping those crunchy bits make a great texture contrast. Shoestring fries are my least favorite cut of potatoes but the Japanese seasonings on these are perfect ( I think it would be more yummy on a regular French cut though) The sesame aioli - please sell this by the gallon - gosh it was goooood! The housemade ketchup was impressive as well. Service - Super Friendly, the lady at the window was pleasant and welcoming. I'm going back to try other items like the Vietnamese sandwiches and collard greens. Perhaps even the Buffalo Wings although I'm already hooked on the Wangs Ho Sauce. This is an Asian Soul Food fusion spot. The subway is on the corner R train at Union Street stop. There's also a huge City Bike dock right across the street from Wang's so if you love peddling then no worries.

Alright so I stumbled upon Wangs by complete accident but the scent of their kitchen lured it's way to my nose and instantly get my attention. I felt like one of those cartoons that just got lured somewhere from the scent of something delicious. I crossed my fingers in the hopes that it would taste as good as it smelled and it did NOT disappoint! Wangs serves up some delicious wings, amazing cornbread, and great potato salad! I wish I lived closer so I could get it more frequently! But I'll be back!

Wangs and cucumbers.

I've ordered delivery from Wangs for a number of years now and their food is always solid. I usually get 3 Chicken Wings, with a side of the cucumbers and a couple Foco mango juices. If you're wondering if 3 wings is enough to fill you up, it IS! I've also had the Mac and cheese (delicious) and the side salad. The chicken is consistently really good. The hotter sauce is definitely hotter, so I only order that occasionally and usually do Mild. The chicken is juicy, crispy and always arrives hot. This is also one of the few places that sells the Foco mango juice which, if you know, you know!

2.5 stars for the wings. 4 Stars for the service. The inside of wings is tasteless! Not worthy of $3.5 a piece.

The waitress was super professional and gave us suggestions from the menu items. She suggested the Peaches Punch (rum and positive vibes) and she did not disappoint. Peaches Punch was sweet and citrus. My fam is southern, migrated from North Carolina to Brooklyn, so I am not a stranger to southern food. My mother was a sou cook in a small water front hotel on the intercostal waterway, so I confess I am a chair side critic of collard greens. I do not like collards simmered too sweet. I also like to add vinegar. So we ordered the fried catfish, cornbread, and collard greens. The catfish arrived seasoned and crispy. I added a dash of Texas Petes hot sauce, they seriously offer a variety of hot sauce. Love it. The collard greens were inviting, aromatic, and tender. The smell of the collards reminded me of Sunday dinner after training. Yes, it tasted old school, I greatly appreciated the southern vibe and the great southern hospitality. The main entrées were affordable and the drinks were worth every penny. This is within walking distance from my home. I will definitely return for collard greens. Please make a date to sit out on the sidewalk and order those collards.

I wanted to love it so much especially since TikTok critic/MMA fighter Keith Lee visited them in 2023, but my experience was not like his. I want to say that online reviews are almost about accurate. They were out of cold salads and collard greens which was an issue for other customers at times as well. No problem, they were super helpful and offered an alternative but not a good one. I had steamed vegetables that mashed in my mouth like mashed potatoes when I took a bite. I did end up going to another spot for collard greens and potato salad because you can't have soul-food without that. I had the rib dinner with mac n cheese and yams and a tiny piece of complimentary cornbread. The ribs definitely taste amazing but they don't take off the membrane in the back which is slimy and gross. I left that part behind. The yams were sweet and good BUT.....that mac n cheese is NOT soul-food Mac n cheese. Here's the thing I figured out, they use such little cheese but season the noodles very well that you don't truly notice unless you love mac n cheese, which I do, so I noticed it lacked so much cheese but had seasoned noodles. The rib dinner was a 3/5 because ribs were great but sides needed help. I had rice and peas as an additional side and fried wings. The wings were ATROCIOUS! I ate the smallest one and didn't eat the rest. How can you serve such huge feathered wings like that? It was a nightmare. The feathers being on it turned me off. This tells me they don't make their food with care, they move quick to be one and done and I want my food cooked with love and care. They were also frozen wings that were thawed and seasoned, I know the difference. The rice and peas were okay 3/5 as well. Overall the food was not worth the hype. Customer service was beautiful for sure but the food was not it.

We started with the Brooklyn Wings. Now one thing I want to say is all of their food is piping HOT - like you better blow on it or risk burning the tip of your tongue hot and I loved that! The wings were delicious- both sweet and spicy at the same time and enough that each of us got 3-4 pieces each. For entrees, my mom ordered the turkey meatloaf and holy cow did she get two HUGE pieces of meatloaf that looked good - and she said it was good. It had a mushroom gravy on it and a side of mashed potatoes - she loved her meal and had plenty to take home. I actually ordered the fried shrimp app with Mac and cheese and creamed spinach for my entree. The shrimps were good but they're fried in cornmeal so they were really crunchy. The Mac and cheese was good but the creamed spinach was very bland. For dessert we shared brownies and ice cream it was pretty typical. Southern Comfort in the Heart of Brooklyn…read more If you're craving true Southern soul food in Brooklyn, this hidden gem is worth every minute you spend circling for a parking spot. Located near Vanderbilt and Atlantic Avenue, this spot delivers that down-home flavor that's hard to find in the city. We ordered the catfish, potato salad, okra and tomatoes, fried chicken, mac & cheese--and let me tell you, every bite hit the spot. The portions were generous, and I was so full I didn't even get a chance to try the peach cobbler that everyone keeps raving about. But you better believe I'm saving room for it next time. The customer service was just as impressive as the food. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home. I had a warm, genuine conversation with the husband, and it honestly felt like chatting with my grandfather back down South. The ambiance matches the vibe--simple, old-school Southern charm that adds to the experience. The macaroni was bland and colorless and the cheese was missing! This mac had all the flavor of a hospital meal that was prepped for a patient on a salt free, seasoning free, flavor free diet. The collard greens tasted frozen maybe??? No specks of meat or flavor of any kind. Mitchell's Soul Food is CASH ONLY and it was nearly empty when I arrived. I can see why. If you have 10, 15, or 20 items on the menu but most of them are unavailable, what's the point? That pretty much describes my experience with Harlem Seafood Soul. I've driven past this food truck many times while operating the M60 and finally decided to stop and give it a try. Looking at the menu online, I was excited. Catfish, whiting, mac and cheese, collard greens, shrimp and grits, and other soul food favorites all sounded amazing. The problem came when I arrived around 1:30 in the afternoon. I wanted catfish. Sold out. I wanted whiting. Sold out. I wanted mac and cheese. Sold out. I wanted collard greens. Sold out. At that point, most of the options available were shrimp dishes. For a place called Harlem Seafood Soul, I expected more of the soul food menu to still be available in the middle of the day. If items are regularly selling out that early, then either more food needs to be prepared or the menu needs to better reflect what's realistically available. Another thing that surprised me is that I've visited other food trucks and carts that have been featured on TV shows, and many of them have an app, online ordering, or some way to place an order ahead of time. Where do you order Harlem Seafood Soul from? If I'm spending over $30 for lunch, I'd like the option to place my order in advance and have it ready when I arrive. To be fair, the wait wasn't long, and my frustration isn't with the people working there. Everything looked good, and I'm still planning to try the shrimp and grits. My issue is with availability. It's hard to get excited about menu items that aren't there when you arrive. I love supporting Black-owned businesses, and I want Harlem Seafood Soul to succeed. That's exactly why I'm leaving this review. The food sounds delicious, but you've got to do better with keeping your signature menu items available. Customers shouldn't have to arrive before lunchtime is over to have a chance at ordering them. This visit felt like a disappointment. Honestly, I'm not even sure if I want to give it another try. When a menu gets you excited and then most of what you came for isn't available, it leaves a bad first impression.
