This place says it opens until 11 pm on its website as well as on Yelp and Google Maps. Showed up at 9:40pm and was told it's closed. The guy working there didn't have the decency to open the window to explain. I called shortly after and was told "it's actually 10pm but today is slow so we closed early". Jesus christ this is not Iowa, it's NYC, if you say you are open until 11 you better be.... read more

Great take out place in Park Slope. The food they have is awesome! Had the chicken wangs - AMAZING, the corn bread - really good, collard greens - also good, and the bah mi - good but not amazing. I do think they can handle a couple more items on their menu because each time I go I feel like they don't have just the right thing I'm looking for. Overall though, 4 stars for the wings - the southern fried chicken with asian flavors is definitely unique. I think they found a great niche. read more

We ordered 3 wings, a whole fried chicken, potato salad, mac & cheese, corn bread, and kimchi. Everything was solid. The wings are the whole wing covered in batter, deep fried, and served pipin' hot with a soy-like sauce lightly drizzled over them. They were perfectly fried, the outside crisp and the inside moist. The fried chicken is a simple peppery batter. The pieces are cut into half-breast, leg, thigh, and wing-with-some-breast. They have a selection of sauces and aiolis to jazz up every bite. Nom. I'm probably going to go back and destroy some more chicken soon. They only have outdoor seating, so have to make use of the sun while the gettings good! read more

Normally, they have juicy and plump chicken wings but tonight chicken wings were small, dried, and from old used up grease. I first posted review when they first opened and it was fantastic. Wings were the best I ever had. Now, it's no different than a Chinese take out with spices at twice the price. I will give them another try but if it remains the same, I done. read more

I live literally two doors down from this place and was very excited that we were getting a Korean wings place..... and fried chicken!!!! I read about the owners in the neighborhood publication and decided to stop by and check it out. One of the partners was the one working up front that day. She was really nice and pleasant and very excited about the place. It is really tiny and the seating is outside on wooden benches. They have cute little potted plants outside and by their order window. It's very cute. We got the Fried chicken meal that comes with a side and corn bread. The chicken was really good. Meaty, crunchy on the outside and super juicy on the inside. A+!! Their coleslaw was one of those fancy, kitchy type with like shredded cucumbers and special mayo sauce thing. It was decent, fresh and crunchy. The cornbread was a little blah. Since their thing is southern food with an asian twist I had very high expectations for the cornbread. It was ok. A little on the bland side. We also tried the Korean wings of course. The owner said she hates it when wings are too spicy so theirs is not too much. I do think it could use a little more kick. It was not spicy at all even though I got the spicy kind. They also are really freakin huge! Korean wings are typically big already but theirs is insane. I thick because its so big, that it lack a little crunch (korean bonchon has that sweet spicy crunch int he skin and on the outside). It's good but not as good as the other bonchon type wings. They just need to perfect the wings a bit. It's a good addition to the neighborhood and totally fills the chicken wings/fried chicken gap in the food scene in Park Slope. It's a bit pricey but it's also one of those trendy Brooklyn things. I would still go back and probably eat here often especially when they open late at night int he summer after going out drinking on the weekends. Sit on the wooden benches and munch on fried chicken. Not too bad! read more

Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. The chicken is juicy without being greasy; it's got a tasty breading that includes a spice I can't name (the overall approach seems to be a cross between Asian and Southern); and it's plentiful--the half a fried chicken I ordered amounted to a good deal more than that. The french fries are good too, slender and fairly crisp (though I'd prefer them just a bit crunchier) and sprinkled with parsley and something else. There are tasty dipping sauces as well, and I added a purple-cabbage cole slaw that proved to be good. read more

Before heading back on the N train, I saw this spot's sign. I've tried a good number of Korean-fried chicken around the K-Town area and I thought I'd give this place a try! This place is definitely more of a take-out spot or a quick bite to eat since they have one main table in front of the store. Since it was my first time, I decided to just try the 3 piece chicken wing (not so spicy) and the potato salad. The cashier seemed friendly while I gave my order so that's a plus. Although I was continuously tempted to dig in on my train ride home, I waited until I was in the comfort of my own room to start eating. As much as I love food, there's no way I'd feel comfortable eating wings in front of strangers. Sure...maybe for some less messy types of food...but that's besides the point. Even though the three wings were roughly eight bucks, they definitely were the biggest wings I've ever came across. The skin was still crispy and the meat was soft and tender. But...I guess I was just underwhelmed by the wings as a whole? The sauce that came with the wings were good...it would be nice if it came with a bit more! The potato salad was a-ok. Not the best I had, nor the worst. Kinda wished the potatoes were cut up just a tad smaller? Overall, it was an average experience for me. Not too sure I'd be back...but if I ever end up here again, maybe I'll just try their wings spicy and see if I'll end up liking those more. (And maybe just consume those wings right then and there instead of being patient...) read more

This evening I really wanted to get some wings while spending my weekend in the BK, but didn't want anything bland, flavorless and definitely not your neighborhood sub shop wing dings. After reading reviews, we decided to try Wangs on Union Street. We got a nine piece spicy chicken wing and their collard/kale greens. The wings were delicious (but yet not anything you couldn't easily make at home with the right ingredients from the internet). The greens they could have kept. They were shredded like a frozen bag from the grocery store, and nothing I have had from any Asian or soul food cooking (soul korean place)... Too tough to be out of a can, but close to that flavor. One of my biggest hang ups was we were not given utensils or napkins... And didn't find out until we reached our destination. AND YOU NEED NAPKINS FOR THESE STICKY WINGS. If you don't call ahead, you are waiting in this tiny area porch, which let's say was as cold as outside (37° tonight), so you lose your sense to even think you need to ask for a utensil for your greens, you just want to get warm again. Overall... We weren't cooking tonight, and I wanted wings... And I got exactly what I wanted, GREAT WINGS... MOIST, CRISPY AND DECENT SIZE. Using another reviewers suggestion to get extra sauce at 75¢, for me, it was absolutely unnecessary.... Unless you like your wings sopping like wet rag. I would def go back again, but only for the wings. read more

Finger licking good! We love the spicy wings, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with a fiery sauce full of heat and flavor. Get extra hot sauce for dipping. The wings pair perfectly with their house salad: frisée, radish and watercress with a tangy buttermilk dressing, it's so good and cools off the heat from the wings. Also great is their red cabbage cole slaw, and decent Mac and cheese. The standout for sure are the spicy wings at wangs mmmm mmm good. Pretty fast delivery as well. read more

I had the spicy chicken wings and really enjoyed them. Very large, which is good considering the astronomical price. Never paid this much for a wing but you do get bang for your buck. Flavor was great, crispy and tender inside. I had 6 which was probably more than I needed. I would recommend getting 3 and then probably a side to go with it. Will be back to try the fried chicken sandwich on runner and stone bread. read more

They make some pretty good fried wings. They're typically a large sized wing and fried with a glaze that was salty versus being spicy. It's got good crunch and everything was cooked evenly. The sauce or chicken really made my mouth dry, drier than normal fried chicken would. I think I drank a full liter (or maybe 2 liters) of water just eating 6 wings. It didn't taste bad but it is too salty overall. What's bad about this place is the lack of eating space. They have one picnic table and benches than line the sidewalk (which begs the question if its considered public or private space). It would be nice not to rush anywhere to eat the wings after purchase. Not exactly a winter friendly place to stay and eat at. read more

I stop by Wang's every time I pass through Park Slop. It's honestly the best chicken wings I've ever had in my life. The wings are cooked and seasoned to perfection. You basically get two wings for the price of one. My husband and I would order the 6 wings with fries and still have leftovers. I can't say enough good things about this place. read more

Hands down some of the best wings I've ever had. Tender on the inside; crunchy, sweet and juicy on the outside. The spicy wings have just the right amount of spice so your mouth doesn't fire up, but leaves the taste lingering in your mouth. I'm still thinking about those wings even though I had them two nights ago! I only got the Wangs, and haven't tried the rest of the menu. Got there at 10:30pm when the store was about to close and no more hot sides were available. So be sure to get there early! The wings are a little pricey (about $3/wing if I recall correctly), but totally worth it. Also, there are only two benches for outdoor seating lined around the wall of the store. If you are looking for a sit down joint, then this is not the place for you. But if you are trying to find a quick place to pick up some wings for that stay at home date or for a football game, then definitely come to Wangs. It will not disappoint. But the wait might take some time so be sure to allocate at least 15 minutes to wait for those juicy wings to come out! read more

This is some of the best chicken wings I ever had. The wings may be expensive but well worth it. Bonus, the scallion butter that comes with the cornbread makes it super delicious. I'm super excited to come back. read more

I saw that this place had many reviews so I orders the wings and fries . When I arrived the fries seemed to be stale , cold and old. When I spoke to the manager/owner , who was an Asian woman ,about this she practically verbally assaulted me and had the nastiest attitude. She gave me new fries but not with out berating and disrespecting me . She told me that I should have came faster because the fries are made when ordered . This is hard to believe because even old Mc Donald's fries were better than these day old tasting fries . Not sure if she was nasty because I was black or because she had a bad day. Either way her behavior was unacceptable. Never supporting this business again. Never. read more

Love the flavor of the "wangs" chicken my only beef with them is their price. I feel it's to pricey for the amount of food they give. Still in all, A dope spot read more

The food here is amazing! Wings are excellent and the sauces (especially the hotsauce) is delicious. The presentation of everything was spot on and it tastes just as good as it looks. I also had the corn on the cob, Mac and cheese and corn bread with the scallion butter. Everything was great! I only wished it was a dine in restaurant. The picnic bench in front is convenient, but I'm not a fan of having people walking by and staring as I devour my wings so I took the food to go. But still a great place. read more

When you first hear the name "Wangs" fried chicken probably does not come to mind, nor does it look like much from the outside (only a walk up window and 1-2 picnic tables)...DO NOT LET THAT DETER YOU! Wangs has awesome popcorn chicken and their condiments are one-of-a-kind (go with the Kimchi Aioli-you will not regret it). Also, unless you have a large appetite or what to feed two people, go with the small size-it has more than enough chicken to fill you up. For a side dish (which could also be eaten as a smaller meal) I highly recommend their Mac&Cheese (yes a simple dish but they put the southern flare into it which makes it addicting). If you are ever in Park Slope definitely stop by Wangs for a quick and enjoyable meal. read more

I went there with my husband and son. We ordered 9 wings and potato salad and I would say they are getting better and better. The chicken is finger licking good. My husband who is really hard to please because he thinks he's the best chef lol (and he really is) was really impressed. He said this is the best wings he's ever tasted. We are a health nut household and we don't eat too much fry food, but I know where to go when I want my wings fix. read more

**bang bang w/ Prawn Shop next door** Takeout window with a dangerous shutter holding the menu and multiple benches with no table, and one table (they warn you not to use Prawn Shop's outdoor tables if they're open, which on our visit was a few minutes later). Pretty rude service to go with the rugged vibe. Satisfying wings, decent coconut grits, great okra, and OK collards. read more

Perfectly breaded very juicy inside including the white meat. This little JAM is worth driving from any borough to try. I never eat fried chicken but this is a MUST. read more

I order through Caviar and the food arrives hot and fresh within 30 minutes. Hands down the best fried chicken in Brooklyn. Super crispy skin and moist, fragrant and wonderfully seasoned meat. I love how they split the breast into two so you get one boneless piece. The sides are killer especially the corn and potato salad. I love this place. read more

First the good: the person who took my order was really nice. The meh: the sandwich and the mac n cheese. The sandwich cost $13. Granted, it was large, but thoroughly underwhelming. The mac and cheese would've gotten 5 stars, but it was sweet. The quality was good, but the flavor was off. Way too pricey for a regular evening. read more

Hands down the best wings in NY. I traveled from Bed-stuy just to get these.

The wings were incredible, the staff were super sweet & helpful, however, I had to give two stars because I paid way too much for the portion I was given, I order THREE pieces of wings a SUPER small side of macaroni and cheese & a mango drink & the total was 18.70 ..seriously! That's way too much! If the prices are going to be that high the portion should be a lot larger! read more

BEST FRIED ASIAN STYLE WINGS worth waiting outside in the cold for them. And reasonably priced considering how large their wings usually are. I wish they had chicken thighs too. read more

AMAZING!!!! Pricey but the food is worth it. Imagine soul food with an Asian twist, let's just say it's addicting and whenever I don't feel like making my weekly big Sunday dinner or if it's too hot to turn the oven on Wangs is my to go spot. The chicken wings are amazing the collard greens taste like I made them myself and have my mouth watering for more. The Mac and cheese and potato salad is BOMB!!!!!! I just wish they had a bigger spot and had tables where you can dine in because parking sucks on Union and 4th ave. The food is definitely worth the hype and the price because you get quality food which reminds you of your the south. read more

In general, I'm not a huge hot wing fan BUT these are anything but typical wings! They are full size, juicy, crispy, flavorful chicken wings!!! This is a walk up stand for wings!!!! All I can say is that it was tasty, delicious, and perfectly messy! Everything you'd expect from an excellent wang! Looking forward to ordering for super bowl!!! Keep in mind: this is a walk up ordering, stand only! No inside, park benches out front! read more

Great wings. The options were hot or sweet, sweet being a teriyaki like sauce/glaze. Wings were very crispy on the outside, juicy and hot on the inside. The collards used Chinese sausage, which was a nice touch which added a little sweetness to the fish. The kimchee was pedestrian, more like pickled vegetables than kimchee. read more

These wings are the truth. The sauces are three Michelin stars. The name, transcends Michelin.

Hot DANG, these wings are good. And they're huge, too! Go here and try them now if you're looking for a superior wing experience. (Also, pro-tip: they deliver on Seamless and they're super fast) As for the other items on the menu, I'm pretty "meh", which is why this isn't a 5 star review. Not a huge fan of the sides I've tried so far, or the fried chicken bahn mi... But that could also be that they simply pale in comparison the the level the wings are on. read more

Good but keep in mind the prices, it is pricey and you may not find it worth the price. Also, inconsistent hours like some have said before.

Super wings. These things are jumbo size. Super juicy, extremely flavorful. Can't really get a better wing in the neighborhood. 3 wings is quite a bit to eat, and well worth it. Go here if nearby, or even if not nearby. read more

So the name is just too catchy not to want to give it a try, and I will be darned that I am addicted to bah mi wherever they sell it! When you first walk up to Wang's you immediately think this was the most clever setup for such a small space. It's walk up only and just a warning, it's cash only! I ordered the bah mi which looked amazing from the yelp reviews and a couple orders of the wings (obviously). My first thought was the wings were on the pricy side until I opened the box. Those things are huge!! Those ain't your average wings, they are damn near turkeys in my opinion. The even better news is they taste as good as you expect it to. I am still a fan of UFC in Queens, but if I'm not in the mood to drive I would hit up wangs. As far as the bah mi, it was a thing of beauty just like the pictures showed. Unfortunately, I think the presentation was so epic it was downhill from there. Don't get me wrong it was good, but not "I'm going to eat here everyday" darn good. read more

This place is pretty dang good. Initially it seems overpriced because it looks like you're getting very few wings for the money, but you're actually getting an entire chicken wing (limb) - see pics. I eat a ton but getting the 9 piece was a greedy mistake. For one person, you could get away with the 3 piece, maybe 6 if you're feeling gluttonous. I would NOT recommend the fried chicken. That was what I initially got and I was about to ax Wangs on Yelp, but I went back and gave the wings a try.. and they're legit. For sides, the cornbread was good. Potato salad eh. I wasn't a fan of the mac and cheese (although my friend liked it). It's mac and sprinkles, not much cheese. read more

Small shop with a table outside. Very simple. No where else that I know of where you can get a fried chicken banh mi. The portion was huge but that comes with the price. Nonetheless, probably the best fried chicken sandwich I've had in NY. It's also not on a baguette (it's on a sesame hoagie-esque roll) and the daikon was a bit too heavy (it leaked through the bread) but still very solid. Could probably be a portion for two people. My girlfriend also says it's her favorite Asian chicken wing in the city. It has a Thai-Vietnamese kind of flavor to it - definitely a SE Asian, sweet, slightly tangy, kind of taste. Owner and workers were very friendly. Looks like it's the perfect spot to eat outside on a sunny day! read more

Didn't have a good experience here at all, it was my first and Last time here, the woman at the window was very rude and nonchalant. I did not like the chicken sandwich, the bread was hard and the taste of it was not good so i asked if i could get something else or my money back, she then said "well i can't give you free food just because you don't like it". It's just a $13 sandwich, it wasn't about the money and it's not what she said it's how she said, Very nasty and exactly why i will Never go back. read more

Absolutely love Wangs! While the sides are sometimes too flavorful for my own taste, the fries and wings are absolutely WONDERFUL! Recommend for anyone seeking great, fresh, flavorful wings. Worth every penny. read more

I am always on the prowl for some really good fried chicken. So on a Thursday nite decided to give Wangs a taste. I walked up to the window and scanned the menu and went with the Half Fried Chicken thats four pieces and coleslaw. This place is really a whole in the wall all the seats are outside so watch out for inclimate weather. The chicken was quite moist and tasted wang good! Really you can taste a little of the brine seasoning thats quite delish. I love to smoke brined chicken at home on the grill and they do brine these birds. Anytime the breast meat is moist and flavorful you know they must be doing something right here. But the downside was the coleslaw was really a bummer. Wish it was more flavorful, something about the coleslaw it really doesnt compliment the chicken. Maybe its that I dont like radishes ewwww! I am gonna come back for more, this is really a nice spot. The menu is small but Wangs as some really good fried chicken. read more
