I also saw a lot of families bring young children (from infants to preteens) to the show I attended, so it's pretty family-friendly. On that note, however, outside food is 100% restricted. A family ahead of me with an infant and a toddler was declined from bringing in tangerines, water and other small snacks for their little ones, so keep that in mind. One great thing about this spot -- they validate parking! So make sure you take your parking ticket to avoid paying a hefty price upon exiting.

They have some overhead fans but it was still pretty hot outside (it was a heat wave). I bet it usually feels fine though. Thankfully my drink helped cool me down! I ordered the Coronado Brewing, which is described as superfruit acai cider. I loved it! I'm not a big drinker but I've always loved Angry Orchard cider, so if you're like me, you would probably like the Coronado too. It's a deep red colored cider and can come in a 16 or 20oz. It can get loud here, even outside. I found that my voice was a bit scratchy after I got home from the happy hour with all the loud talking, but that's probably to be expected anywhere you go!

One of the most stressful and disappointing restaurant experiences I've ever had…read more We visited Cafe Sevilla with a group of 14 for a prix fixe menu. The food was served on shared platters, but the portions were distributed unevenly. One section of our table was expected to share a single platter among eight people, while the other section received two. I brought this up several times before our server finally corrected it. Getting enough food for the people paying for the menu should not require repeated requests. The drink service made the evening even more frustrating. The restaurant was loud, and when someone at the table suggested ordering shots, the server would bring entire platters of tequila shots without confirming how many people wanted one or which tequila they wanted. I repeatedly asked him to stop bringing shots without checking with us first, yet it continued. When the bill arrived, the shots were far more expensive than expected, they were at more shots than ordered and we had also been charged for additional people who were not in our group. Our server initially told me there was nothing he could do. When I raised the issue with the manager, I was met with attitude rather than a willingness to resolve an obvious billing problem. She eventually corrected the headcount, but only after considerable back and forth. She only deducted five shots out of the 25 she charged us for, mind you most of our group was not drinking or only ordered a margarita. There was also an automatic 20% gratuity, which I understand for a large party, plus an additional 3% credit card fee. After spending the evening repeatedly addressing service and billing issues, that extra CC fee felt like the final insult. Unfortunately, the food offered no redeeming quality. It tasted soggy, excessively salty, and far from fresh. We came to enjoy an evening together. Instead, I spent much of it managing portions, trying to stop unconfirmed drink orders, and disputing the bill. Based on this experience, I would not return or recommend Cafe Sevilla for a group dinner.

They have tacos and wraps, etc. but the hamburger is a beautiful thing, created by a talented cook who explained that he made it "Special, for You!" The tater tots are darn good also. When it is crowded it can be tricky, you stand in a line to order at the bar, then try to find a table to eat at. I got lucky because people left their table seats to go watch the opening act. It took about 20 minutes to get our food, which seemed like a long time because I was so hungry. I liked the hipster vibe and the women on this night outnumbered the men two to one. The drunk women there were in a festive mood and the conversations were shrill and exceptionally loud. Kind of fun though for this old man.

The tables for two are so small that you can only get two plates and a fork and then run out of room. We like to share so we always place some plates in the middle - we asked for a table for four - barely large enough for us as we looked at the tables and the young man switched to "snit mode" and took offense as he explained why - in a restaurant full of empty tables - they needed the tables for four to be available. We insisted and prevailed but not without a definite signal that we were now "on his shit list" of new customers. The server was excellent very attentive. Only disappeared once for 15 minutes but then showed up again (thank you Megan) and never lapsed again. The table arrangement tipped us off immediately. The tables were arranged in "rack and stack" mode with tables set side by side with only barely enough room for someone to pass between tables - a very thin person - and so immediately we saw rows of tables so close as to be uncomfortable. That and the extremely loud music had us getting up to leave almost immediately. It didn't help that the table next to us had three people having a liquid lunch and screaming and laughing at the top of their lungs (I think) perhaps we should have given more notice to the purple and green hair? We couldn't hear each other talk in a normal voice. The server came with menus so we decided to sit and take a look at the menu. Too bad we didn't act on first impressions. We decided to split a vegetable salad - very good and seemed fresh - and a lasagna - the pasta was clearly homemade in the kitchen (very good) and the meat sauce mediocre at best with no flavor and some very hard toast triangles to remind us what 70-year-old teeth feel like when trying to bite concrete for lunch. So a warning....this is not your dark and quiet relaxing Italian Restaurant....they have their own idea and believe me it's not relaxing....they envision stacking people into a very fast and efficient amazingly small table next to hundreds of people who are all competing to be heard across the table....this is kind of like NY Italian....servers one to take your order and other very strong gentlemen to deliver your food.
