Best BBQ in town! A must stop for locals and tourists driving through. Their smoked meats are amazing and their queso is to die for!

The Detroiter and Bee Sting were both delicious, but I preferred the Detroiter more (I love meat!). You can tell the ingredients were fresh. Definitely give them a try if you're looking for this style of pizza. Carry out only!

My husband is…read moreparticularly keen on Detroit style, and we have had quite a few Detroit style pizzas from places over the years both in and outside of Detroit. This one was pretty good, but I do have a quibble; the crust was much denser than Detroit style crust usually is. The height of the pizza was about 2/3 of the usual height of a light and airy but thick Detroit style crust, so I am not sure if this dough just didn't rise properly or if PM does their crust differently. I don't personally care for heavy thick crust so this isn't a deviation I particularly care for. That said, I did like the robust sauce and the cheese, toppings were sufficient though not exceptionally generously applied. I recommend getting hot honey on the side if you want that, it was less noticeable pre-applied, though I could taste it a little. The pop up is colocated with Corned Beef King and there is a picnic table for when the weather is good but it is primarily takeout. Food was ready ontime so I was in and out super quickly. If you don't mind a heavier crust you should give them a try. I'll probably be back when hubs wants a Detroit style and we don't have time to drive to Frederick where the best one I've found in MD can be had, but tbh just one slice sat like a brick in my tummy.

This was number one on the list when I searched best restaurants in Reston and it did not disappoint! Heirloom is tucked away in the distillery and has a cozy speakeasy feel with green velvet booths and an eclectic seafood forward menu. Cocktails : Manhattan - top notch My sweet side piece - fun presentation with table side bubbles! Feels a bit like a fall drink. Warm spice. Very tasty and too easy to drink fast lol Apps: We got the baked shrimp and the beef carpaccio. Both outstanding and so flavorful. Just needed some bread to soak up the sauce in the baked shrimp. The lemon rind in the shrimp was a perfect compliment to the sauce and the carpaccio was perfectly seasoned and the thinnest slices I have ever had which made it delicate and delicious. Entrees: We got the sea bass and the short rib bolognese. Blown away by how good both of these were and so very different. The short rib bolognese had a rich but not heavy flavor with fresh pasta and a delightful velvety spiciness - not heat though. The sea bass was crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked with a carrot ginger puree that was sublime with the spinach and fish. We loved both of these entrees. Really wanted dessert but sadly not more room which was better for our stomachs and our wallets. It's not a cheap endeavor here but worth the cost for a fabulous meal out and a very cool vibe.

My friend who grew up in Northern VA raves about HawaU as his favorite Hawaiian spot. To be fair,…read morethere aren't many options, so there's not really any competition. I added this casual spot to my list a couple months ago, but didn't have concrete plans to check it out. Driving to Manassas and back on I-66 from where I live would cost half of my brain cells and all my patience. However, a few friends and I drove out to Shenandoah this past Friday evening, and I made a convincing argument that HawaU would be on the way. By the time we arrived, we were all incredibly hungry and ready to wolf down anything edible. The ordering process was easy: we ordered and paid at the counter, grabbed a seat at one of the few tables, and waited ~10-15 minutes for the food (parts of it are made to order). LOCO MOCO (BOWL) - 9.99 The chipotle-sized bowl was topped with loco moco: white rice base topped with hamburger patty, fried egg, grilled pineapple slice, and a generous pour of beef & mushroom gravy, plus sides of fresh cabbage salad and mac salad. The gravy nostalgically reminded me of the ones I'd get from cafeteria-style school lunches -- thick, salty, slightly starchy, yet oddly comforting. The egg, hamburger patty, and rice were pretty standard, but the familiarity of the gravy tied the whole dish together nicely. Both salads were good -- the cabbage was more light and refreshing, while the mac salad felt a bit heavy after all the loco moco. Since it's my first time eating loco moco, I can't say how it compares to others. However, I found HawaU's incredibly comforting and hearty. It really hit the spot for me, and I ate the whole bowl within 10 minutes. The loco moco is definitely their signature option and a must try. My friends who got the spicy pork bowl and udon thought both were just OK and not special.
